What I enjoy about this channel is unlike many other lifting channels, bryce does not insist that his way is the only way. He is humble enough to acknowledge that there are other methods out there that might suit you better, lists the advantages and disadvantages and encourages you to try things out.
Been watching ever since Candito mentioned in one of his videos as the best powerlifting channel on youtube. He wasn't wrong. You explain all the complicated things about technique on deads, squats and bench, in such manner that everyone can understand it. Production quality is up there with big channels. You DESERVE way more subscribers.
I remember this from Omar’s channel. By far the best instructional sumo deadlift video out there. I just shared on my Facebook page because every lifter interested in learning sumo should watch this video. It definitely took my sumo to the next level
I wish videos like these had been around 10-15 years ago. It shows there's so much stuff to consider when deadlifting other than just yanking a barbell off the floor...
Hands down the best sumo deadlift video on the internet. The details and focus on every small detail and on everything that could possibly go wrong in a sumo pull is what makes this video special. Ps: Anyone watching this just go ahead and start pulling sumo you don't need any other vid
Screwed up my back conventional deadlifting awhile back. Today I deadlifted for the first time in about 2 years. Swapped to sumo to better support my still trash lower back. This video helped a ton. Thanks!
This is easily the best deadlift tutorial on UA-cam! Clear explanations - demonstrations throughout with clear step by step instructions! I will continue to refer to this video whenever I want to improve my deadlift!! Keep up the amazing content!!
1:10 - 1:25 holy shit that transition was smooooth. On the other hand this is quite a definite quide on sumo. I ditched the conventional due to lower back problems, while I still would say that conventional is the best strength builder I just couldn't reason with myself to continue pulling and living in pain every day. Some of us just aren't build for it (technique is also a factor in this). So I went to the dark side and switched to sumo. This video really cemented my decision and helped me progress significantly and with NO pain. Brilliant video, thank you!
Same here. I focus on sumo to avoid lumbar pain due to herniations and stenosis. My biggest issue is setup, as I am 6-3 and my frame not optimal for DL either style.
Gotta do what you gotta do to stay pain free and lifting. I have alot of injuries from car accidents and work so I've switched do Sumo for deadlift and Zercher squats for legs vs back squats.
I learned my conventional dead from Alan Thrall famous video.. And sumo from you.. I can say ur content is at par with Alan thralls... Both of you helps people like me across world.. Good job..
I've been doing the sumo deadlift competitively for about one and a half years. And I can honestly say after watching this video and putting all these tips in mind, made my pulls feel easier. Big thumbs up! 👍🏼
Thank you for sharing this video. I just started learning sumo and I saw so many things that I'm doing incorrectly. I will be referring to this video before each sumo workout. I would say for beginners, it's more beneficial to learn sumo first.
As an older lifter with a bad back I thought my days of heavy deadlifting we’re over. Moving from conventional to sumo has allowed me to start adding weight back on the bar. And if you want to learn how to sumo, this video is as good as it gets.
This seems to be by far the best video for Sumo DL discussing the most vital points in practical terms!!! I recently competed doing conventional in IPF approved event and had pulled my back again. Others got placing as all did sumo. I should have pulled at least 30 lbs more with sumo.
This is a great video! I pull conventional, but decided to do some sumo pulls for this Pivot Block and this video has made my life easier. Thank you for making this! Best powerlifting channel on the tubes.
I am still coming back to this video months later. The key concepts highlighted in this are invaluable. Thank you for the fantastic content. I'm very excited for the documentary to be put out as well!
Been a sub since 3k and honestly, you guys really deserve more than you have. The content and editing of this channel is miles better than most other fitness channels. I mean, how the fuck has Vshredz got so many.
I don't usually post alot of comments but I must say -- this video is incredible. Your production is phenomenal, your information clear and direct. I feel super prepared to adjust my technique and pull some big weight. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this and make it so well. Wish me luck, I'm going for 525 tomorrow!
I have always sumo deadlifted much wider. for sure going to try to bring in my stance so that my joints are stacked better. good explanation, thank you!
Thanks a lot for this, I have been experimenting with conventional and sumo styles lately and its very difficult to get a thorough guide on the sumo style
Nice work on covering the sumo pull! I am looking forward to training sumo as an assistance lift upon becoming an intermediate lifter. FCF videos have also covered some minor weaknesses I was not aware about the big three that shot up my progress.
Seems like I've faced a lot of different back pains in my life I'm kind of prone to back injury seems like. I just want to learn the lift in order to strengthen my back and prevent injury in the future.
Thank you so much for the great advice! I have always hated deadlifts and avoided them for along time. Now im using them consintent in a program from Alan Thrall and i see great progress. It also has alot to do with the tips you give, so thank you!

Thank you for sharing this video. I just started learning sumo and I saw so many things that I'm doing incorrectly. I will be referring to this video before each sumo workout. I would say for beginners, it's more beneficial to learn sumo first.

This seems to be by far the best video for Sumo DL discussing the most vital points in practical terms!!! I recently competed doing conventional in IPF approved event and had pulled my back again. Others got placing as all did sumo. I should have pulled at least 30 lbs more with sumo.
