I'm so in love in peterbilt. I watched the: "Black Dog" movie back when I was a kid in Russia, and ever sence I dreamed about getting a peterbilt some day. Eventhough I love classic truck, I do love the modern airdinamic peterbilts and kenworths. I feel like this pete 579 will be the next 379. It's just so perfect.
I’m an older driver and really prefer the looks of the older 359s and before….but if I had the chance, I would love to give this a try. The paint is beautiful, but a little loud for me. But the room and comfort is beyond this old man’s dreams. You guys consider yourself a lucky. It was a little different for us when we started in ‘74.
I love it my 579 my only gripe is the automatic braking and the warning when leaving highway acts up, and it automatically brakes for you especially when you have it on cruise .
I just talked to my local Pete dealer and they told me they’re 2 months out from even talking about ordering a truck!! He also said the X15 Cummins is hard to come by right now😤
love the color but I still love my 379 with a cat. the new trucks are just not made to last thet fall apart. my 379 has 3 million miles and still running strong .I would love to see the new trucks do that without parts falling off ecetra. alot of trucking today is all about looks and stats where the quality?

So I have one question, I know that paccar in Europe uses only ZF transmission and they don’t have their own transmission in Europe, so what is Paccar auto transmission in Kenworth and Peterbuilt, is it ZF and they just call it Paccar automatic transmission ?
i guess is what u see is what u get for the buck..sloping bonnets are getting more common on the highways..helping better airflow and 100% front view..i notice's they hav'nt double skin there frames..nice tractor unit for it looks..at the end of the day will it last the distances motor wise..and maybe 3yrs down the track could end up updating to another tractor unit..

And Peterbilt trucks are undoubtedly the most beautiful and refined!

No seem between the cab and sleepper, but there's that curtain making the sleeper as small as possible.
The regular 80” does have a microwave shelf just like that I’m pretty sure the 72” does as well

Eaton fuller does but paccar makes a 16 speed which is just an 18 minus the 2 low low gears

When truck are done at 1 million miles the strip them down and recover/recycle everything. All that metal is not put in the dirt.

1M miles are kidding me I seen 579 1.5 2.5M driving and driving like new . That's what made me look at one .
I hate the new mirrors they're too small I wish they just used the old kenworth t680 mirror instead
