I think maybe the reboot should have been about only these new mutants and have the other ones “minus like 5 main guys” and run with a more streamlined story approach… i think giving the X-men a break by having them in the white-hot room or something waiting for Krakoa to come back in some wonky way would avoid burnout while they gear up for the next event

Had to chime in when it comes to Adamantium. This story has been intriguing so far. Curious to see where it goes. Maybe Wolverine will be upgraded like Cyber at some point. Wouldn't that be sweet. The Hag is pretty freaky. I have a feeling Hotoru has something for the Hag. Obviously the new team when combined and together should be a formidable force. Nice dissection and breakdown. Great video. Been enjoying this series so far.
I'm starting to think that the stronger than Adamantium thing is to fulfill a statement made in guardians of the galaxy vol 1 18: "but that's impossible. That suit's made of adamantium. Nothing can tear it! Oh, sure, several things can! Dargonite for example." Think about it now there's several things that's stronger than Adamantium: captain America's shield, the destroyer armor according to the original handbook of the Marvel Universe, Dargonite, the muramasa blade, Adamantine according to Marvel writers talking about when Amadeus Cho replaced Hercules as the prince of power, hellfire forged metal from the x of swords event, mysterium from when iron Man broke a sentinel made of wolverine skeleton with mysterium armor, gold adamantium from the first wolverine comic of this year (which according to the description of wolverine vol 8 5 may be Adamantine), and now this somber steel.

If anyone is excited about this mutant reboot, then I'm missing something. Sorry, but I've given these titles a chance, but everything seems like a repeat cycle. Why leave Krakoa, just to see mutants going back to mediocrity? Mutants deserve better. Krakoa gave them that. But Marvel (like Star Wars) are great in ruining arcs. Especially when they are successful.
You will never be satisfied because what people saw as a problem in Krakoa Age you didn't care and what people like about this new era you don't care either, the appeal of From the Ashes is precisely the focus on the characters, their personalities and its conflicts as each title tries to deal with the problem of the mutant race's reintegration into humanity in different ways. The art is great. Everything else, the story, characters, dialogue (especially dialogue) are terrible. Personally I couldn't wait for Krakoa to end. But this is not good either.

The Marcus' daughter hint makes me hopeful that something is coming for that character in the near future.
So Rogue has permanent limlted precog abilities from that poor kid she met in issue one? Neat.
She always had a seventh sense from Miss Marvel.... That functioned like very limited precognition in battle moments.

I also found this positioning strange because Marcust wasn't watching the training, so there was no way she was addressing him.

Back ground OST is bumpin. Always loved this one.
