My daughter and I both took part in the race. Manon thank you for being so generous with your time my daughter was thrilled to chat and get a pic with you at the finish.
My pleasure, thank you for coming to say Hi!
@@manon-lloyd the Queen
Great to hear Manon is as cool as she seems on GCN vids in person.
@@Grant_Ferstat as nice a person IRL as she appears on the show, actually only a couple of years older than my daughter.
I am a Local guy and did the “45 km” a few years back. Had to ride to pick up race number from someone prior, overdressed, and it is actually a little longer than 45 km. Push a little too early to end and ended up cramping both legs going up final hill. Laying in ditch in pain with another rider with same issue - another rider comes up and says “I know you are not supposed to take drugs from strangers but you guys need this worse than me” and gave up an electrolyte pill. Yes we took them and able to finish. Great job on the vid !
Strangers usually have the best drugs 😂
I too have taken "drugs from strangers" during long running races (marathons and ultras) when I was cramping really bad.
IMO... The athletic community (particularly competitive/semi-competitive racing) is worthy of trust in this regard. The odds of someone paying money to take part in a grueling endurance race just so they could potentially have the opportunity to hand out something nefarious to strangers is virtually zero.
I don't have a single worry about accepting something like that. Competition or not, we're family when we're out there on the course together..
My dad is just a pain the ass. He just doesn't wanna take any of my electrolyte tablets.
We did 20km Enduro he barely survive. Now he drinks 30 mins before rides and every 30 mins. No cramps anymore.
Wait what , that was Manon who just rode by my house as I was cheering. I was star struck , my kids had a good laugh at me :)
this video really put the 'G' in GCN. ;)
i had no idea you folks were going to be at the P2A, so it was a bit of a shock to see manon at the finish - a good shock! when the race is pretty much in your backyard it is hard to see the size of it, but the fact that it attracted this kind of coverage is really great to see.
also, kudos to GCN for just being a seemingly awesome group of people - no one seems to have an attitude and the general positivity in the group/YT channel is a breath of fresh air. keep up the great work!!
We all talk about Hank doing mega challenges, but Manon absolutely demolishes everything put in front of her. She is an absolute inspiration. Hank has this manic puppy energy but Manon has outright fierce determination. She's a wo-"Man-on" fire (haha?).
#teamManon
Excellent cycling video Manon! The editing team also did a great job behind the scenes. Unsung heroes of GCN.
The Canadian spirit is on full display throughout but the 9:50 mark of the video just brought a tear of pride in my eye.
Well done Manon. Hoped you enjoyed our wonderful country. Seeing some of the trails I regularly ride on was the highlight for me. As for the moose...well, you have to go a little bit more north for those guys. Thanks GCN for bringing the cycling world together.
Manon my favorite GCN presenter! Did your flapping outer layer have Ollie’s aerodynamic approval?😂 Great video it was obvious you had a great time.
So crazy to see GCN covering this race, such a great atmosphere this race brings to kick off the cycling season as a whole. First time doing the race myself did the 75km on my channel
Great job Manon. You should come join us for the True Grit Gravel Epic bike race in Santa Clara, Utah. It’s 84 miles and 9000’ of elevation gain.
Great to see GCN visiting Canada!
I love that this gravel bike race was open to everyone.
As usual, another great video from GCN, proving the “Global” in the brand. Congratulations Manon! Having experienced the “Sting” or Bonk of P2A is the ultimate qualification to the club. Picked a really good year for it as well.
Love these races. New England has quite a few. They’re all fun, challenging, & a lovely good time.
Manon, thanks for your enthusiasm and for letting us join as you suffer.
The 2019 P2A was my first race and I had a blast. So great to see GCN give it some love!
Well Done Mannon.. You try anything!! I love listen to your honest and enthusiastic commentary
Thank you for watching, we're incredibly lucky to be able to ride our bikes in such beautiful places
@@gcn Sooo Manon....another epic video showcasing your lovely presentation style. But here's the big question....where did you finish??
Great job, great video, thankyou for checking it out. Im gonna try it out now, thankyou.
Great video! Did an amazing job at capturing the aspects of the event. And it was absolutely fantastic meeting you guys in person. Manon has such a wonderful personality, was an absolute pleasure!
Well done Manon! That looked like so much fun😊👍
Yep, made it on to my bucket list. Thanks
Lol “biggest tree and could have used a ladder!” Thanks for coming to CANADA!
This looked absolutely amazing and so much fun!
Congrats on the coverage of this beautiful event and for capturing the Canadian spirit so well, Manon. Hope you can continue to join the event every year. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Fabulous! Well done Manon. Massive kudos to the film crew too!👏👏👏👏👏
It can be so discouraging to bonk. It's inspiring to see how you forged ahead, even if more slowly than you'd like.
Manon blasted it as usual, what a great race and a great effort, love these videos
What a great race. Rarely do you see people riding and smiling so much in a race. It seemed like everyone was having a genuine, good time. And all the encouragement, along the race, from total strangers, was, well.....encouraging. Thanks guys.
Awesome! Been waiting for the race report. :) Competed in the 70 km wave 1 and had one of the best times ever. Made it into the video at the 8:29 point (rider in red), thanks for the two seconds of fame GCN haha :D Hope to see you guys next year, awesome job Manon!
From a clean track background to the dirty world of gravel, one extreme to another. Good form Manon! Ride to the level of your smile.🚴♀️😄
Thank you Manon for the inspiration! Just getting to this video because I am recovering from a bike crash. Fractured 3 vertebrae and fractured shoulder blade. Had considered Paris to Ancaster, having moved to Hamilton from Cobourg Ontario during Covid-19. Will follow your stellar example and enter next year for sure! Love this content! Love your spirit! Great that you were able to team up with Meghalie! I'll know I've fully recovered when I've completed the race next year, I'll be 65 and what a great way to celebrate!
Hope you recover soon!
So awesome that you did this! I hope this video helps the race get some more exposure.
My Paris to Ancaster career was one and done. Those mud chutes and the final climb were enough for me to throw in the towel!
Love this race! Haven’t done it in 15 years but this is inspiring me to do it again.
Great effort... love it that you took the pro peloton on for as long as you could, full gas as long as possible is totally a beast mentally.
So happy to have this record of a wonderful race. Thanks Manon and GCN, I hope you enjoyed your stay in Canada.
Thoroughly enjoyable video showing the atmosphere, comradery, and challenges experienced in this event. Manon's balking at the log and mudshoot is something we can appreciate as well as the pleasant fatigue at the finish.
Good job, Manon! That was really exciting to watch you race an actual race and the videography team did an amazing job staying with you throughout the course, adding to the excitement. Loved that you were recognized and became a celebrity there too! More videos like this please!
Epic ride and scenary, I would love to check out this route, love seeing GCN anywhere in Canada. Thanks for this!
Absolutely marvellous Manon! Well done! Fantastic to see some more racing episodes appearing again on the channel!
Excellent video. Proud to be one of the sweepers of this race and thus was the very last person to cross the finish line.
Amazing! Loved this video and Manon's experience of the race!
Thank you! glad you enjoyed it!
This further proves what a badass Manon is. Super fun video.
Awesome to see Maghalie win it, too. CX royalty. 😃
I live in Brantford Ontario..10 kms from Paris...ride some of this route this past wknd actually...great vid...thank you for showcasing what our little area has to offer...glad you enjoyed it !!
Awesome to see GCN cover our local spring classic! Hopefully back again! Way to go Manon!
I'll be taking to the gravel bike to Canada now, this looks like so much fun. Great job from Manon and the production team on this!
Well done! Great recap and you captured perfectly our beloved P2A race. Great meeting you!
Thank you for covering the race ….GCN has a large Canadian following.. good on GCN
great video!!!! Great video work with all the variety of scenes and what it looked like...all the trails, the drone footage, your POV,.... great commentary!!!!
Excellent production
Great video Manon! That looks like a super fun event. And a really hard event. I get the impression that the race leaders had an easier time with some of the boggy sections. The single track trails were probably reasonably passable for the first couple of dozen riders. But those trails turned into a sea of mud for the later riders.
Good show. Glad to see you out in a competitive event.
Awesome video and story about this iconic race. Love to see you had similar experience as I. Very relatable video. Great job. Made the iconic race look awesome too!!
Nice job Manon. Always love your videos and great effort on that race.
So exciting to see GCN in Canada 🇨🇦 I live so close to the race and look forward to it every year
Excellent work Manon your films are constantly great and very enjoyable and inspiring!
Manon you nailed Paris-Ancaster, well done! Hope you had time to get some Canadian goodies like maple syrup to take home. :-)
absolutely love that you came to Canada Manon! also did not know this race existed, I like 8 hours away but I might give it a go!
Ah bless, Manon looked shattered the night before the ride. Well done 👏🏾💪🏾
Another great video, especially good to see Manon smashing it with the pro peloton and bonking hard at the end, happens to the best of us! Brilliant entertainment, now you have to come to Australia!
Amazing effort & well done Manon
Way to go Manon - the last climb to the finish is quad exploding but it's such a cool way to complete this epic race. So glad you were able to come over and take part :)
What a wonderful event. Many thanks to share it with us.
I rode the 45 km on my single speed fatbike!!! The weather was spectacular that day and 💪💪💪 for staying on the bike and climbing Martin hill climb 😎 awesome!! Great job showcasing P2A and what Canada 🇨🇦 has to offer!!!
In the heart of Ontahhhhrio, Canada. Love it! Way to go Manon!
Great effort, Manon! You held your own there, congratulations!
Love it that you were looking for Moose in South Western Ontario!
Great job, your finishing time was excellent.
I moved to British Columbia from the north of England 18yrs ago and still haven't seen a moose. Literally saw my first beaver 2 months ago. Tons of bears though. Great to see GCN come to this beautiful country. Congratulations on a great ride Manon. Hope you didn't have to clean your own bike after that slog
Two thumbs up, Manon! Having moved to Ontario late last summer, I'm thrilled to learn of the race. Maybe next year....
wow you did it!! go Manon!!! again such a beautiful location. thank you GCN.😊
Awesome! Congratulations on your finish!
This was a great video. Excellent subject, well-filmed and edited, and Manon knocked it out of the park with her racing efforts and hosting dialog. I just learned she is no longer with GCN, and that’s a real shame. I’ve enjoyed her episodes and will search for more, as she does a great job of sharing her expert knowledge cheerfully, without talking down to anyone…and it helps she’s not a guy.
so cool seeing GCN feature my local area!
That was fantastic! Great job Manon.
Great to see Manon racing in a bike race here in Ontario, Canada! It looks like she really enjoyed her time here!
What a fun ride! And YES to more Maghalie Rochette!!
Smashed it Manon. Need more of these videos
I look forward to seeing an even bigger GCN presence at the race next year!
I live in Ontario and never heard of this 😅 I am definitely doing this next year!!!
But no moose!!!! Great race and a really well done video. take care, Al
Awesome and inclusive event, hope you enjoyed it and get to do more such rides Manon.
Wooh! Good job, Manon! Awesome effort! You're fantastic! ❤️
Love this video...great job!
I hope you take this the right way but this was your best video to-date (IMHO). Loved it!
That was awesome Manon! Great job👏👏👏
This looked absolutely epic, well done Manon 👏
I have done this race several times starting on the second year i believe, have done it in snow, in heat waves, you never know what your getting into. The 100k can be brutal, some mud sections are laughable, but the comradery in the event is amazing. Fantastic early season race for anyone who wants a great challenge.
Congratulations Manon! Come back next year and we'll have a moose waiting for you at the finish line 🤩
Good show! You were lucky with the weather that weekend, dry and sunny. In April in Ontario it more likely to be rainy and 5 degrees C.
Excellent vid. Everything's better with Manon.
Nice work and video, GCN.
Congrats to the GCN team for making another exceptional video and to you Manon for a fantastic 15th place on your first gravel race all while filming and narrating. Huge kudos ! Well done
Be prepared when you get home as Ollie may give you a hard time about the flappy riding jacket and not being areo 😂.
Thanks Manon! That was just amazing 👍
Great job Manon, looks like a very fun race!
Great film work GCN!
Love the video.
Manon your so cool and awesome.
Very nice Manon.
I've done the Barry Roubaix in Michigan three times, and it has a similar vibe (but a little less mud)
Nice suffering! 🙏🏻
It's funny, while I was trying to soak up as much info as I could about about doing my first gravel race I believe Manon did a GCN gravel feature that I paid attention to...then to know u came across to Ontario try it for yourself?! Hats off to u and the rest of GCN!
Respect Manon. Great Race💪👍
It's so nice of Manon to give a chance to the other riders by riding in a parachute! :-)
The race looks nice BTW, and this actually starts from Paris!
What a beast great race!!
My buddy and I are in the background at .33 seconds it was awesome to see GCN and Manon here, I even managed to beat manon which for me was pretty amazing. I trained really hard for this and managed to be 155th in the 100k I was pretty stoked! Manon bonked hard !! Haha welcome to Ontario Canada!
