Dry firing has improved my accuracy somthing serious didn’t realize it was helping until I went to the range Friday I did amazing I felt amazing and had so much fun
Just ordered the g-sight, I trained many people for years and got out of firearms all together, decided now that I have more time I’ll start my dry fire training again and update my firearms. Great video as always Thanks
So I purchased this a few days ago and it arrived in the mail today. My goal was to pair it with the mantis x10 to really build some good muscle memory. Skeptical as hell about the price but now that I’ve got my hands on it, let me throw in my two cents. I agree with the 90% of y’all who think the $100 price tag is too much. There was a $20 off thing going on on their website so I said why not. Now I talked to the guy who made this and asked if it would register with the mantis prior to buying it and he said that the clients he has use a base plate that mantis makes that replaces your base pad on a double stack Glock magazine (I think they’re like $10 on Amazon) so I bought one. First time using it today it does what it is supposed to do. It resets the trigger after you shoot and praise Jesus it registers with the Mantis tool using the replacement base pad. After digging through the settings in the mantis app I found a “SIRT/DFM” option meaning that mantis has made it useable with the dry fire mag and sirt pistols meaning I probably didn’t need the replacement plate. Now is it exactly the same as an oem Glock trigger, nope. Does it beats the hell out of resetting the trigger every time? Yep! Also a hell of a lot cheaper than ammo right now so it’s worth it in my eyes. Hopefully this helps some of y’all out there to at least be more informed to make a decision.
thank you reading your comment made me realize how pointless this product is. I mean point of Dry fire is to create positive habbits. now if your training something and it dosent feel how its going to then are you really training that thing.
Great channel. Thank you for clearing up that the two systems do not work together. It's often that reviewers present multiple systems but do not specify if they work together or not. This leaves people very confused.
MantisX has been awesome for my dry fire practice. You played with that at all? I love the variety of drills in the app too (dry/live, strong hand only, support only, compressed timer, etc). Really helped me with fundamentals, and the tracking from drill to drill is fantastic. Brought my (very beginner groups) of 6” down to 2”
Just ordered yesterday, I was looking at the I laser it's a decent little setup but didn't like how small the target holder was. Also did research and found that it's not as bright, the laser for many users was off center and the activation button wears out very quickly. So I went with the G sight and don't forget you can use the other laser apps for this as well. Great video keep it up and safe shooting!!!
Dryfire mage works well with Accurize Advanced Cal 9mm, Cal .38 Special Laser Training Cartridge without having to rack the slide. I use it in my p320.
Just picked up an air soft Glock. Weight and trigger pull are comparable to my G19. Have had a blast killing cans in the back yard and I feel my draw and grip have greatly improved. About $200 for gun gas and bb’s but you also get the satisfaction of ringing “steel” with every shot. Probably unable to use your optic due to blowback design but its another option...
Just so everyones aware, Glock has finally licensed some of their models as GBB airsoft and pellet pistols, the also now have an actual LE/MI Training weapon. I know thats a touchy topic for folk but for CQB training especially inside your own home, i dont see why not. It allows you to actual fire around corners etc.
so no lip on the cartridge it should not damage the extractor on a 1911. the big question is why doesn't the laser stay on for a bit longer so you can really see where you hit/
But recoil throws off your aim slightly especially when doing follow up shots i feel it would help you position your first shot so when you need your gun and you draw and fire you'll hit where you want to hit without too much thought but have to reset yourself from the recoil for the follow up shots if that makes sense
That G Sight is a pretty awesome idea for those that don't have the time or money to go to a range everything. It's not the same as actually firing, but still will help your aim and draw safely.
Has anyone tried the dryfire mag in combo with the Laserlyte universal trainer? it inserts into the barrel and uses the sound of the click to activate it instead of the firing pin. I'd be alot more willing to buy the dryfire mag if it worked with a laser cartrige.
Based on what I'm reading the laserlyte one works the same as the one in the video. It's activated by the firing pin. So I don't think it will work with the magazine shown.
I just called customer support to see if any mags will be made in the future for the Canik line and sadly nothing is considered. Hopefully sooner than later. Nice product!
Oh my god that CZ is so sick! I wish they had the dry fire mag for my carry pistol. I had a Glock 23 but switched to a Springfield Hellcat. The Hellcat is so new there aren’t a lot of accessories available for it. Not like the Glock.
Great info! Thank you. Easily understood and to the point. Thank you for the keeping the background music at a level I could understand what you were saying. 5 stars!! 👍
I have the i-target pro. its a laser bullet just like this one but it also comes with a target and a target stand and theres also an app. its pretty cool but i feel like practicing at the range it still better
Pretty overpriced for that dryfire. It seems awesome but I really can't see more than $40 maybe $50 on a stretch. They could make it simulate the weight of a full mag as well.
Lmfao I literally just died over here. So it's a nice change to scroll through comments and not see everyone in a pissing match and actually finding a comment that will make me laugh 😂
Tal I must say hearing your opinion on appendix carry has changed my mind about hip VS appendix. I honestly think I'll be rockin the appendix rig when I get my CCW
They gave me one of those laser trainers at a Carry Trainer class. I'm reluctant to use it because it pulls your focus off the front sight to the laser's POI when you shoot. 'Bang' "There's my Hit" 'Bang' "There's my Hit" I dunno...
bass779 But if you're looking for the laser rather than the target, isn't it creating a similar problem? Isn't the point of an RMR to look past the red dot?
Kenny Rodger The laser is a point on the target, so I found myself looking at the target. Using the app (which is free), lets you still focus on the front sight if you want. You can look at the target between shots of after a string of fire.
bass779 Yeah I have the laser trainer. For me the Laser grabs your eye involuntarily. I dunno... I didn't really like it. If it works for you that's good.
Hi - great explanation of the two products. Made me a subscriber. Question: where did you get the small size IPSC/USPSA target? I would like to get my hands on one. Thank you
Hi my name is Ed and I saw your video on the G-sight 9mm training laser cartridge, I recently brought a vortex venom red dot and I need to sight it in on my Glock 19. Could you explain the process on using the training cartridge to zero my red dot. Thanks
Talon, I have a Sig P938 Nitron Micro-Compact. I got it before I saw your dry firing/training laser video. They're not compatible. But I want the dry firing/training laser system. Do you still recommend the MantisX Shooting Performance System and the G-Sight 9mm Luger Training Laser Cartridge Gen 2 w/App and Spare O-rings? Is there anything else I need. I need a recommendation to a compatible gun to use. I don't need it to be "compact" sized. I've subscribed to you Sunday Gunday! Exciting. Thought you might have tried new dry fire systems since I saw your video.
I’m curious if this would work with a projector and setting it to random pictures for friend or for. Threat identification and if the camera will pick up the laser on a projection screen.
I really like both of them! That being said the only issue I have with the dry fire mag would be it could possibly (possibly) instill that click in your brain and if you hear it while live fireing you might not react the way you need too. Which is ok while just at the range but very bad in a self defense situation!
Try UTM ultimate training munitions its simunation released to cilvians they do ar15 and glock and many other models that shoot and function Sim ammo I bought a glock 17 slide and love it functions recoil my same glock mags just slide and Barrel replaced.
I like to use a cheap $10 laser from amazon and attach it to the rail. Point it at something on the wall and dry fire. If the laser doesn't move, it was a good pull.
Can both of these products be used in concert with one another? The reason I ask is because I would like to work on my trigger control but also utilize the laser target system and work on consistency with follow-up shots
My dad taught me the round on top of the pistol training tip when I starting liking firearms during my teen years. Thanks for that memory dad!!! Miss you so much!!!!
i really need something like this. 2 questions. 1. how does this compare to the itarget pro, and 2. with this product, you wouldnt have to wrack the slide with any weapon that has the restrike would you?
I honestly believe these are like guitar hero I use to play music and after playing guitar hero I was a mush I believe these dry fire things make you mush because you don't have any recoil
This might help with your weapon draw to get you on target, but what about recoil? I dont see this helping with the follow-up shot, and you are going to want a follow-up shot if you get into a situation.
Hellow . I am from Greece. I like them so much. I want to start trainings with my new glock 26 . How could I buy both of them ? Is there a fake magazine which work with laser together in glock ??? Thank you

What light do you have on you G19??
Talon, I have a Sig M-18 P320. If using the G-Sight Dry Fire system, would that require repacking the slide for each shot?...many thx.
"I've been dry fireing every single night"

One of the clearest reviews of this type of thing I've seen so far today. Great job.

The original dry fire magazine is amazing... best money I've spent on training equipment
Is anyone else watching this during COVID-19??
Omg no one cares you like beggar
I am
Maybe not during its because
Yea
Yeah

another tip, buy an GBB (Gas Blow Back) airsoft pistol, it does the same thing with the first product
Any suggestions?
Dryfire mage works well with Accurize Advanced Cal 9mm, Cal .38 Special Laser Training Cartridge without having to rack the slide. I use it in my p320.
Pretty cool stuff. My wife is watching with me. She likes it too!! Thanks for sharing it with us Talon.
What if you got a reset trigger for the glock??? Could you do multiple dry fires in a row with the laser like the cz?
Just picked up an air soft Glock. Weight and trigger pull are comparable to my G19. Have had a blast killing cans in the back yard and I feel my draw and grip have greatly improved. About $200 for gun gas and bb’s but you also get the satisfaction of ringing “steel” with every shot. Probably unable to use your optic due to blowback design but its another option...
.
Had no idea someone made a "tool" to dry fire. Saves working the slide 50 times!!!!
combine the magazine with mantis x to record your shots.
Just so everyones aware, Glock has finally licensed some of their models as GBB airsoft and pellet pistols, the also now have an actual LE/MI Training weapon. And it’s perfect timing cause I am getting a cz!!! Thank you. Great work. Keep it up!!

I was wondering the same thing. That would be a pretty useful combo.
I use the laserlyte with my Dryfire mag in my G19. It works great.
Good to know. Love the dry fire training, but won’t be investing in the dryfyre mag if it doesn’t reset the striker on a striker-fired weapon.
I just called customer support to see if any mags will be made in the future for the Canik line and sadly nothing is considered. Hopefully sooner than later. Nice product!
Oh my god that CZ is so sick!

I know its an old video but I just bought the DFM(X) comes with mantis and told them I saw them on your channel.
Damnnnnnn T!!! Getting pretty quick with that draw huh?!
I have the i-target pro. its a laser bullet just like this one but it also comes with a target and a target stand and theres also an app. its pretty cool but i feel like practicing at the range it still better
Do you suggest any auto trigger reset to use with glock and laser trainer so you don't have to rack the slide every time?
Only problem is they don’t make it for the G43 yet. I have emailed them recommending they make a dry fire mag for the g43
Wonder if you could make a laser that is triggered by noise from the click rather than the pin. That could make this useful for the glock.
I love that playing with the gun is called practicing. 😅 I'm only kidding, I would spend A LOT of time just pointing and clicking around the house.
Pretty overpriced for that dryfire. It seems awesome but I really can't see more than $40 maybe $50 on a stretch. They could make it simulate the weight of a full mag as well.
i know this is a really old comment, but you can get literally the same laser for 40 on amazon. it's called pink rhino
@@aresident7745 nice
Nice and easy rundown. Thanks!
Googled "Why am I 'firing blanks'?"... and was brought here.
Good to know I'm not alone.
Lmfao I literally just died over here. So it's a nice change to scroll through comments and not see everyone in a pissing match and actually finding a comment that will make me laugh 😂
@@luckylarz4269 Not all heroes wear UA-cam channels.
First, I wish there was one of these for the P320. Second, that's a whole lotta money for plastic and springs.
Tal I must say hearing your opinion on appendix carry has changed my mind about hip VS appendix. I honestly think I'll be rockin the appendix rig when I get my CCW

'Bang' "There's my Hit"
I dunno...
Kenny Rodger It is actually helpful if you ever transition to an RDS. Since I needed to change my focus to the target, look for the laser helped.
bass779 But if you're looking for the laser rather than the target, isn't it creating a similar problem? Isn't the point of an RMR to look past the red dot?
Kenny Rodger The laser is a point on the target, so I found myself looking at the target. Using the app (which is free), lets you still focus on the front sight if you want. You can look at the target between shots of after a string of fire.

I have this for my air rifle wich has a dry training switch this was super helpful
I can only recommend
This is awesome. Now I want one. Thanks for the video.
Love your videos man, and by the way, you got me hooked on Strike Force now!
pretty prophetic video, Talon.
Hi - great explanation of the two products. Made me a subscriber. Question: where did you get the small size IPSC/USPSA target? I would like to get my hands on one. Thank you
This is even more relevant today
Yeah the algorithm for UA-cam has been weird. All of a sudden they’re sending talon sei videos.
Nice! Looks like I'll be purchasing one of these in the near near future! Keep up the good work!
Hi my name is Ed and I saw your video on the G-sight 9mm training laser cartridge, I recently brought a vortex venom red dot and I need to sight it in on my Glock 19. Could you explain the process on using the training cartridge to zero my red dot. Thanks
Can you dry fire with model guns or bb guns? I live on the UK and I'd have to get a licence 1st. That takes a while.
Man, Need one for a CZ P10C, joined the subscription list for if they decide to release one
But what’s your firing pin hitting? Isn’t that bad for the gun overtime?
Excellent video dude, thanks for posting it, I just subscribed.
Thanks for the review. Please keep them coming.
Will it work with a large I pad ?
Talon, I have a Sig P938 Nitron Micro-Compact. I got it before I saw your dry firing/training laser video. They're not compatible. But I want the dry firing/training laser system. USTED ES GENIO, tus videos son FANTASTICOS
If the dryfire mag won't work with the cartridge laser, will the dryfire mag work with the recoil spring type laser sights?
Now they need to make somthing that simulates recoil on the firearm.
Could get a blowback airsoft gun
cheeto better than normal dry fire
Great video. Wondering if you could use the mag in conjunction with the laser that way you wouldn’t have to keep racking your striker fire weapon ?
The mag does not reset the firing pin so it would not work
I’m curious if this would work with a projector and setting it to random pictures for friend or for. Threat identification and if the camera will pick up the laser on a projection screen.
Came for the electric skateboard reviews, stayed for the pew pew.
That quite the opposite of the norm here! Thanks for sticking around 👊🏻
socomon69 same lol
Talon Sei is that a zev slide and barrel ? Sorry, might be a goofy question but I’m new to the glock world and looking to do my first glock 19 build.
Do they work together? Does the dry fire mag actually actuate the striker assembly?
I really like both of them! That being said the only issue I have with the dry fire mag would be it could possibly (possibly) instill that click in your brain and if you hear it while live fireing you might not react the way you need too. Which is ok while just at the range but very bad in a self defense situation!
In using some dowel to push that device out of the gun, is there any potential for damage to the lens?
Try UTM ultimate training munitions its simunation released to cilvians they do ar15 and glock and many other models that shoot and function Sim ammo I bought a glock 17 slide and love it functions recoil my same glock mags just slide and Barrel replaced.
I have used it at Shot and it was pretty cool. You need a little more setup to do something like that compared to these tho
Very true. I have a 1 acrea yard and found UTM and really enjoy it for training. Since I reload. I just trying to learn to reload the UTM rounds now.
Okay, so is it just the laser that it's picking up on the app? If so would the Mantis AR-15 dry fire mag work with the app?
I like to use a cheap $10 laser from amazon and attach it to the rail. Point it at something on the wall and dry fire. If the laser doesn't move, it was a good pull.
G-Sight Laser Training Pro SP5 on my OnePlus 8 5G running Android 10 says that the additional trainers (requiring purchase) are permanently disabled.
Do you know if this works on a Sig Sauer P938 9mm Luger?
I knew about the dry fire mag but that laser is AWESOME, thanks for sharing! (No more available at amazon)
I’ve got a Glock 48 would it work if I got the Glock 19 Magazine?
Awesome video brother thank you
Wont the give you a chance to also wear the trigger spring a little for a better feel? Just asking.
So does this still require to switch out the spring after 5k “rounds” fired
This is good right now all the ranges are closed
i really need something like this. 2 questions. 1. how does this compare to the itarget pro, and 2. with this product, you wouldnt have to wrack the slide with any weapon that has the restrike would you?

This might help with your weapon draw to get you on target, but what about recoil? I dont see this helping with the follow-up shot, and you are going to want a follow-up shot if you get into a situation.
Dang thought the laser was going to be expensive and the mag wouldn't. Going to try both. Thanks
For the dry fire mag, is there an actual break of the wall feeling when you pull the trigger?
is this stuf regulated by itar or can it shipped to europe?
Cool brother , can you use a large I pad so you have a larger screen??
Yeah I believe it will work on tablets as well
Hellow . I am from Greece. I like them so much. I want to start trainings with my new glock 26 . How could I buy both of them ? Is there a fake magazine which work with laser together in glock ??? Thank you
Just need dry fire mag and laser cartridge to get together lol. Be fantastic for striker fire training.
Very cool, Talon. I'll be getting one for my G19! Thanks for the review, brother.
Glad to see this review, been looking for similar items to the gsight
Can you use them both at the same time?
Thanks TS for I needed something to spend my Prime points on Amazon. Done deal coming on Monday!
for the money which is better mantis vs g sight vs strikeman vs dry fire training cards? thanks
Does the app work with any laser dry fire cartridge
Awesome review. I am definitely getting these products.
Is it just the first time that the trigger feels stiff/different or is it anytime that the mag is in the gun?
Can you use any 9m laser cartridge with the Gsight app?
