    So I purchased this a few days ago and it arrived in the mail today. My goal was to pair it with the mantis x10 to really build some good muscle memory. Skeptical as hell about the price but now that I’ve got my hands on it, let me throw in my two cents. I agree with the 90% of y’all who think the $100 price tag is too much. There was a $20 off thing going on on their website so I said why not. Now I talked to the guy who made this and asked if it would register with the mantis prior to buying it and he said that the clients he has use a base plate that mantis makes that replaces your base pad on a double stack Glock magazine (I think they’re like $10 on Amazon) so I bought one. First time using it today it does what it is supposed to do. It resets the trigger after you shoot and praise Jesus it registers with the Mantis tool using the replacement base pad. After digging through the settings in the mantis app I found a “SIRT/DFM” option meaning that mantis has made it useable with the dry fire mag and sirt pistols meaning I probably didn’t need the replacement plate. Now is it exactly the same as an oem Glock trigger, nope. Does it beats the hell out of resetting the trigger every time? Yep! Also a hell of a lot cheaper than ammo right now so it’s worth it in my eyes. Hopefully this helps some of y’all out there to at least be more informed to make a decision.

      thank you reading your comment made me realize how pointless this product is. I mean point of Dry fire is to create positive habbits. now if your training something and it dosent feel how its going to then are you really training that thing.

    Great channel. Thank you for clearing up that the two systems do not work together. It's often that reviewers present multiple systems but do not specify if they work together or not. This leaves people very confused.

    MantisX has been awesome for my dry fire practice. You played with that at all? I love the variety of drills in the app too (dry/live, strong hand only, support only, compressed timer, etc). Really helped me with fundamentals, and the tracking from drill to drill is fantastic. Brought my (very beginner groups) of 6” down to 2”

    Just ordered yesterday, I was looking at the I laser it's a decent little setup but didn't like how small the target holder was. Also did research and found that it's not as bright, the laser for many users was off center and the activation button wears out very quickly. So I went with the G sight and don't forget you can use the other laser apps for this as well. Great video keep it up and safe shooting!!!

    Just picked up an air soft Glock. Weight and trigger pull are comparable to my G19. Have had a blast killing cans in the back yard and I feel my draw and grip have greatly improved. About $200 for gun gas and bb’s but you also get the satisfaction of ringing “steel” with every shot. Probably unable to use your optic due to blowback design but its another option...

    Just so everyones aware, Glock has finally licensed some of their models as GBB airsoft and pellet pistols, the also now have an actual LE/MI Training weapon. I know thats a touchy topic for folk but for CQB training especially inside your own home, i dont see why not. It allows you to actual fire around corners etc.

  • @Classicalthomas

    so no lip on the cartridge it should not damage the extractor on a 1911. the big question is why doesn't the laser stay on for a bit longer so you can really see where you hit/

  • @grossbeef44
    @grossbeef44 6 років тому +7

    But recoil throws off your aim slightly especially when doing follow up shots i feel it would help you position your first shot so when you need your gun and you draw and fire you'll hit where you want to hit without too much thought but have to reset yourself from the recoil for the follow up shots if that makes sense

  • @TheGorillafoot
    @TheGorillafoot 5 років тому

    That G Sight is a pretty awesome idea for those that don't have the time or money to go to a range everything. It's not the same as actually firing, but still will help your aim and draw safely.

    Has anyone tried the dryfire mag in combo with the Laserlyte universal trainer? it inserts into the barrel and uses the sound of the click to activate it instead of the firing pin. I'd be alot more willing to buy the dryfire mag if it worked with a laser cartrige.

    • @Sir_Chops_O_Lot
      @Sir_Chops_O_Lot 4 роки тому

      Based on what I'm reading the laserlyte one works the same as the one in the video. It's activated by the firing pin. So I don't think it will work with the magazine shown.

    • @atypical_moto
      @atypical_moto 6 років тому

      bass779 But if you're looking for the laser rather than the target, isn't it creating a similar problem? Isn't the point of an RMR to look past the red dot?

    • @bass779
      @bass779 6 років тому

      Kenny Rodger The laser is a point on the target, so I found myself looking at the target. Using the app (which is free), lets you still focus on the front sight if you want. You can look at the target between shots of after a string of fire.

  • @Wetlax11

    I really like both of them! That being said the only issue I have with the dry fire mag would be it could possibly (possibly) instill that click in your brain and if you hear it while live fireing you might not react the way you need too. Which is ok while just at the range but very bad in a self defense situation!
