    Well done, thank you for the detailed information! I found it quite frustrating when looking at buying a used Brompton, probably due in part to the sellers not being as keen in responding to what I thought was basic questions. Not as detailed as what you've mentioned but important to me. In the end I just purchased a new steel bike from NYC and loving it! It's my first Brompton, one that took me years to buy and just loving it! Once again thank you!

    Nice one man. I live in london 🇬🇧, I think it’s a little easier to buy and sell compared to the 🇺🇸.
    Anyhow you may recall my messages from a few months back, regarding the T-line. Ya man, guess what I sold it. 🙈
    Just wasn’t feeling it compared to the older models. I made about a 1000 £ profit, but looking at the current prices on eBay / Facebook market place .. the prices are double what I sold it for. I wonder if they’re being actually sold for that much though.. early days.
    I actually went back to my first Brompton 101 and have just upgraded the to a rear titanium triangle. Original Ti forks are in short supply here. Anyhow, I digress .. good as usual!

      Nice the T-Line is definitely not for everyone. I ride my superlight the most. Sho loves the T-Line compared to her steel bike 😁

    I bought my new "Lightweight" in a local, Danish Brompton shop, and got it ready to use, without any box. And with a long type, black seat post as standard, which I have changed to a black titanium, shorter standard post for testing if I, as a rather tall man of 184 cm, am able to use it during travels (in my German B&W box) without having to remove the post (Without its saddle) before packing it down? It will be easier and lighter that way. I am also replacing more parts to titanium and carbon, for an even lighter weight. I am a heavy man so loosing some weight will be more effective, but not as much fun!

    I guess I was super lucky to buy my Brompton Electric second hand last month. It was initially bought in 2021, was in very good condition, was not stolen (very important for me - got all the invoices and I could register myself on both Recobike and Brompton websites), previous owner only rode with it for 830km/516 miles (information seen on the app). This came with a Brooks saddle, ergonomic leather handles, Brompton toolkit, MiniMods wheel extender with Easy Wheels, Trigo phone mount, additional inner tube and best part is that I paid €1900 for all of it. I brought it to get checked by professionals before use and they said that I have made quite a deal for this B. Still a lot of money but definitely less than if I had bought it new. I love it, I even gave it a name. Lol.

      Nice! I have seen some good deals. You just have to be patient. The prices are pretty high recently.

    • @chtitmog
      @chtitmog 2 роки тому +1

      @@BromptonFamilyTime I agree that you have to be patient to find such good deals. Until I bought mine, the best prices I could find on a Brompton Electric were around €2900. And the other lines are still very expensive too. At least in Europe.

    Thanks for all your great videos! I love my Bromptons that I bought new and would never sell them. I know this is a Brompton channel but I want to ask you if you have ever ridden a Tern Verge X11 ? I have two and they are real rockets! With a full 11 sp. gear range , disc brakes and high quality components they are a great value at $2700.

    • @BromptonFamilyTime
      @BromptonFamilyTime  2 роки тому +2

      I have never ridden a Tern but hear great things about them. I don't think I have ever seen one in New York though. I wish I could buy many brands but the Brompton fold is what I love the most.

    Great vids! I see you run double chainrings on your superlight. How does that set-up work? Thanks, keep up the good work.

    • @BromptonFamilyTime
      @BromptonFamilyTime  2 роки тому +1

      It's a "manual" chainring. I kick the chain onto the lower chainring when I need it (which is not often). It works great for me and also I use the second chainring when I am cleaning the main chainring.

      @BromptonFamilyTime other than the price being lower is there any advantage of the dual chain ring over the ATS drive?

    hi mate! how is the brompton after the crash in the last video? any damage? the hinges? I've got my first big crash and I'm scared that something get damaged internally in the hinges

    • @BromptonFamilyTime
      @BromptonFamilyTime  2 роки тому +2

      Hey Agustin! I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you are alright. After we crashed we had the bike looked at by the Brompton staff that was riding with us. They inspected the hinges as well as the crank. If your crash was big I would bring it in for an inspection.

    im curious if the pin of the front of the frame that bends the frame can be replaced by brompton and if you know how long does it take to wear that pin over time

    • @BromptonFamilyTime
      @BromptonFamilyTime  2 роки тому +1

      The Frame has three hinges. The rear lower triangle once wears out faster since it is constantly moving. All the hinges will wear out and need to be replaced by Brompton or an authorised dealer. You could do it yourself but it is not for the beginner mechanic. When it wears out depends on many factors such as how many miles you ride, your weight, location where you ride, weather etc. I have heard anywhere from 3 months to never lol.
