my family and I went to hawaii last May, we rented a Subaru Forester a ~$30k car for 2 days, it cost $600+....... so yeah I think u can rent out ur car if u live in a busy city or cities full of travelers

Who pays for super charging when vehicle is out with renter? I know with Tesla the owners credit card is attached to the vehicle.

Just wondering a couple things like if you have several cars where do you store them? Does the client come to you to pickup? do you have to have increased insurance limits if you use it as a rental? do you put a locator on the vehicle? With the wear and tear on the vehicle, tires, oil changes, etc I am wondering what the true net profit is and if it is truly worth it? If you purchase a vehicle with a lease can it be used as a rental? I'm thinking people who are good car buyers and know how to take care of their own cars or have a good trustworthy auto mechanic this would be good, but on the higher end cars with high maintenance costs and with putting more miles on the car, can really brings the value of the car down unless it's a limited supply vehicle, great video looking forward to learning more, thank you :)

yes, and im not sure if there is an option, i never done turo, however there has to be an option to put your social security # in, so income would be taxable, however, if you wanna pay less in taxes, get an ein instead.
Hi there found your channel from your bud Lucky. I started in early 2019 and been thru claims and issues, 1 of my cars actually being stolen and recovered , trashed and drunk drivers falling asleep in a parking lot half way to dropping off my vehicle, a brand new 2020 vehicle crashed in first month. Stressful at first now I just see it part of business lol. One issue and a very good tip for you from seeing this video is that you should take up to 50-60 pics prior to handing a car to any guest. TURO policy if something happens and there is no before n after pic then to claim will be paid. Close up under carriage, front n rear bumper close ups, each angle lower and hi angle, each door panel, each seat , headliner, tire thread level for sports car that can be abused , roof of car, windshields.........smokers burn seats with ashes and no pics no claim, side handle cuts or burned with ashes same, your tires come back bald from burn outs, no pics? You're SOL. New subscriber on board :)

Hey be aware‼️ If someone damages your luxury vehicle Turo will only reimburse you a certain insignificant amount. Also, confirm if your current insurance covers damages produced by Turo customers.

@@debbieseiffert yes! We just rented 5th wheel toy hauler for 4 days. Through RVshare, it was $1200. Owner of the 5th wheel told us he makes $2000-3k monthly in profit.

I would think the best way to go with a Tesla would be to go with the card key only. I can't imagine a safe way to share your app priveledges with a renter.

Turo is a time bomb. Cars can be damaged so easily stolen etc. Turo is not on your side when these things go wrong.

1000% correct they never want to pay out and all it takes is one accident to wipe out all your profits. And you don't get $200 per day Turo has high fees you'll get like $160 if that depending on what insurance plan you're on.

@@ricardorodriguesrr18 In order for them to cover anything you have to split your earnings 60/40% if you want to profit the most you'll be on the 15% plan and they don't cover anything they make it difficult. They've recently changed their insurance plans to 10% but even then with all their fees you don't make squat. I had a renter damage my vehicle bumper, tire, and the trip total was $191 the damages surpassed the earnings it was $600/$700and I had to come out of pocket so I was negative. My friend rented out his Gwagon and because the renters were late he didn't know he had to report late trip he just Sat in the parking lot for 2 hours he was fairly new to turo, the renters damaged a latch on the trunk and it cost $5000 for him to repair while he only made $400 on the trip.

Your Tesla rented for $120 that's super cheap I thought it would go for more than that. My model S 2015 was $180 minimum but it rarely rented.

I’ve put my Volvo S60 on Turo before and I rented it out twice. First time I set a really cheap price suggested by Turo since I had no ratings as well. Second time I increased the price $10-$15 more per day and I was able to rent it out. Ratings are huge on this app and the second renter gave me 3 stars because they went over the 150 daily mileage and I had to charge them more. I told them when they picked the car up that they had 150miles daily and if they went over I would have to charge them more and they said “yeah that’s fine, that’s how rentals usually work” but after I charged them more they weren’t happy and gave me 3 stars. I removed the listing thinking the rating would hurt me and I said you know what I’m sure people will still rent it and I tried posting my car again but my car had a recall and I need to get that recall serviced before I can re upload the Volvo. I’m thinking about redoing this soon and hopefully I can make some $$.
