Wow, just the first five minutes is full of helpful information all the “guitar guides” never mentioned. Personally I can’t stand memorizing anything unless I understand the basics, and this is more valuable than any beginner guitar course I’ve ever paid for.

Guys here is my story(long) and also how music is helping me with my mental health:
I played acoustic off and on for 2 years (know the basics and some solo stuff), then left as i found it hard to play only to know that there is a thing called "high action" this year. I play harmonica but always wanted to learn electric guitar.After buying a cheap electric guitar (7500 Indian rupees), i came to know about things like high action low action ,checked my acoustic and realised high action was the reason it became so difficult to play.I fixed my acoustic and now i am dedicating 3-4 hours in learning /practising guitar .
To be honest now i realise beginners should start with electric as it is easier on the hands .(and sound awesome even on a cheap one)
How learning the electric guitar has benefited me:
I was dealing with severe anxiety disorders, panic attacks and living a fucked up life after i left my job to prepare for government jobs in India. I had a very bad breakup which messed me up and was wasting my time doing absolutely nothing. Moreover i started using meds.
One day i thought of buying one and went for it with whatever i had.
And now in 1 month: I have lost 2 kilos, have negligible anxiety , few to no panic attacks, out of depression ( no meds now) and i am studying more and i am extremely happy and busy!!. This is the power of music !! One thing falls in place everything will fall in place.
And I thank Marty and BERNTH for this!!!
