I just came back from Maui my 3rd trip after 27 years, this time took my wife and really enjoyed places of my youth.. .. Hope you visit Hawaii soon... it's magical. ..greetings from California.
Bless your souls for this beautiful song, I do not understand for I am from south Africa. Love everything about it!!!!!! Thank you for sharing it with the rest of the world!
Fortunately you do not need to understand the music. Just watch the dance and observe the smiles all around. Hawaii, a most beautiful paradise. Family is everything.
I am Indonesian who lives in the US. I love Hawaiian music, my uncle who passed away used to be play Hawaiian music in Indonesian with Hawaiian Senior which was popular in Indonesia where travelled in in the Netherlands with his group in 70’s-80’s. Now, I am learning how to play Ukulele.

Beautiful ...As a mixed raced girl born in 1956 my Mother told me wonderful stories that I was named after a Hawaiian Queen. At the time I knew i couldn't share stories with friends. Now I feel very humble and proud of the name my Mother gifted me in a very racist time.
Absolutely beautiful! I love Hawaii, the people, the culture, the spirit and the hula! My family has been blessed to take many trips to Hawaii and each time it feels like we are coming home! I have pictures of a male and female hula dancers in my living room, spirit of Aloha in Chicago! ❤️

One the best renditions I've heard, Great job Bradah Weldon and group. I listen to it all the time. Hoping one day my daughter will learn to dance to this song. Always gives me goose bumps, as to how this song was written and presented to Queen Victoria for the Jubillee celebration during that time and era.
Wow, That truly touched my soul. Sung with such feeling and melodic playing, in a lovely location, and danced with elegance, grace, and fluidity. Simply beautiful.
So moving and touching. My wife and I are going back to Hawaii on Monday, Sept 10th. It's my 20th trip back and just can't get enough of Aloha..if you haven't heard, this feeling of Aloha is real just as soon as you get off the plane and I live in South Carolina yet my heritage has people believing I am Hawaiian. I remember flying out on one of the trips back home listening to IZ Hawaii 78 and I got really emotional leaving. I started to cry a bit in the plane... I tried to hide it. I don't understand Hawaiian but it speaks to me of indigenous cultures slowly being erroded over time along with lands/rights as civilisations move forward... not necessarily for the bettter 😞 I've been to quite a few countries in my time but nothting 'feels' like Hawaii. I plan on coming back with my 2yr old daughter so she can experience the islands. I come back to this video every now and then... fascinated by the recording which is astounding, transfixed by the beauty of the dancing and moved by the culture. Long live Hawaii 💗
Love this song and Weldon's performance with the exceptional (and very famous) dancers. [FYI: The mother, Kapua Dalire-Moe, is a former Miss Aloha Hula (as well as her 2 younger sisters) -- it's like the Miss Universe of hula. Kapua is a kumu hula (hula teacher) and runs a very prestigious halau (hula dance academy) that was established by her mother, Aloha Dalire (the very first Miss Aloha Hula, crowned in 1971). Kapua's daughter, Kili, is a serious contender for the title of Miss Aloha Hula at the next annual Merrie Monarch Festival in 2021 (the 2020 festival was cancelled due to pandemic). ] Thanks for sharing this beautiful performance. Mahalo nui loa.
This is great. I grad Kailua High in 1969 and so many of our wonderful musicians and dancers are passing when very young… MORE LOVE, less da-kine bad stuff.
Love island dancing especially out of the public eye, then it assumes it's authentic purpose. It's neat how alot of the audience take on that analytical look that is critically assessing the movements of the dance and dancers.
Mm maita'i hula outou! Maika'i mele! A me, 'ua nani na wahine oia no! Mahalo nui loa I tou ha'a! 'Aloha all the way from Seattle! So heartwarming in this season of bitter cold, and cozyness.

Wow! This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever watched. I miss Hawaii sooo much. Its culture, its people, the food, those breathtaking places...I hope I have the privilege to go back one day...
I love this melody and the language. I don't really know the meaning but I can sense the culture and energy of this song. It also reminds me to my ancient language, that almost forgotten. I'm from Maluku Islands (molo’uku), Indonesia🇮🇩. It means that I'm also a pacific islander (melanesian). We have bounch of similarities in language, tradition, people as all pacific islanders.🖤

I became so intrigued by the relationship of Queen Victoria and Queen Emma of Hawaii. If you do some research you will read about a real friendship spanning 20+ years. Their letters are quite interesting and reflect true friendship and mutual respect between the two of them. This song becomes even more beautiful when you know their background.
Weldon Kekauoha and your troupe, me ke aloha pumehana for this beautiful "Queen Jubilee" rendition. Ive seen this video many times and each time it gets better its nice to see a real hula and not like the comercial ones at the hotels . My wife and I have been to the islands many times and each time it seems like Hawaii Is calling to us maybe because my wife is philipino there's a connection to the culture and our mana is part of Hawaii .
This is really special. I started crying for real when the second young lady began dancing and the movements were so perfectly coordinated. Lovely voices, harmonies so smooth, the appreciative audience that knew all the words. Thank you.
so beautiful , it brings tears of joy to me , I love it ,the harmony is unreal , like nothing I've ever heard , so soothing to my heart and mind .thank you so much .
This is the most heavenly singing and dancing I have ever witnessed! How I wish I had grown up with such a sacred culture to nourish my heart.

Love kili so beautiful can't wait to see her perform at the next Merri Monarch Festival
This is great. I grad Kailua High in 1969 and so many of our wonderful musicians and dancers are passing when very young… MORE LOVE, less da-kine bad stuff.
They are both so beautiful and graceful. Thank you for this information.

Soy mexicano pero me gustaría casarme con una nativa hawaiana.
So beautiful and graceful. Greatings from Germany ALOHA
Most Beautiful been to Hawaii all the Island love every Minute of it Mahalo
Love island dancing especially out of the public eye, then it assumes it's authentic purpose.
It's neat how alot of the audience take on that analytical look that is critically assessing the movements of the dance and dancers.
Bradda Weldon, nice to hear you on UA-cam. Say hi to bradda Aaron and family. Kalani 1987. What a beautiful song and video. Aloha !

Ditto Baltic652.......I was touched the first time I set foot in Hawaii many years ago... and it stays with me forever..... Mahalo for this post.
Ehhh...ketemu orang indonesia kk dong dari maluku bagian mana ni
Austronesian cousins :)
Ceritera sedih paskali bung..

The best part about this video is the next generation of dancers in the background singing along. Passing the Mana'o along to the future
This song was written by a different queen, Liliuokalani, who was deposed by American businessmen
I'm goosebumps listening to this song ... mahalo nui loa for sharing.
Thank you very much for supporting Hawaiian culture.
Also called chicken skin?
Did you mean chicken skin?
Weldon Kekauoha and your troupe, me ke aloha pumehana for this beautiful "Queen Jubilee" rendition. I listen tothis almost everyday and get so inspired by this sweet serene hymn and this relationship between Great Britain andthe republic of Hawaii way before our connection to the United States of America. Robert S. J. Hu
Do you know if the Queen also wrote the melody?
PU'ME'HAN'A'-- Of me, 100 powers? That isn't Hawaiian Aloha.
