Jordan dominated his competition to a degree no one else has in league history. Russell won more, but he didn’t dominate statistically. Wilt dominated statistically, but he didn’t win more. Kareem did both, but he only won one title as the best player on his team. LeBron is closer to Jordan than all of them, but he has always shared the mantle with someone: Kobe, Duncan, Dirk, Curry, Durant, even Kawhi and Giannis. When Jordan was at his peak in the 90s and when he had any kind of help, nobody touched him.

This is the most ridiculous argument I've ever heard. There are plenty of guys who dominated or had better careers than guys who were bigger, stronger, and faster than them. So, many guys essentially "waste" great physical abilities. Also, he is not faster. MJ's 40 time is faster, and his numbers on other Combine drills for quickness and agility would probably be better. Lebron is definitely bigger. He has 3 inches on mike and 40-70 lbs depending on the time in MJ's career, but is he stronger? We don't know. And strength is used differently in different sports. A guy who might win a bodybuilding competition might be blown off the spot in basketball or football. He's definitely not mentally stronger. If today's athletes are truly bigger, stronger, faster; and today's average player is equivalent to yesterday's great players, why don't the numbers show that? Why doesn't everyone go to camps and Combines and just blow away all the numbers and records from the past? And even to the extent that the average player is better and the talent is more even across the board, that's because those guys of the past became the prototype and the standard for players of the future. We know MJ is the GOAT because we're still having the debate. With all the advantages Lebron has, he should have blown away everything MJ without having to play 20+ years to come close. What sepearted Lebron in the East was the East being weak and always trying to build super teams

Lebron is a product of his time. Put him in Jordan’s era and he’d have retired by this age. Why because the big men back then either did t exist in lebrons form or they didn’t know how to best take care of their bodies for peak performance or longevity. Also you’d be taking away probably the biggest influence on a young James in Jordan. Put Jordan in today’s game and he’d be better than lebron in every regard and it wouldn’t be a question anymore.
