Ive always felt that great players cant understand why things arent working so i agree with Mark. The only superstar players that i can think of that succeed in coaching, front office or ownership were Larry Bird as coach and president. He was successful with Pacers. Jason Kidd isnt perfect but he is a successful coach. Mike Ditka was an HOF player and succeeded as coach. Alonzo Mourning if you wanna count him as a star player has succeeded in front office. Chris Mullin in Warriors front office. Who else yall got in soccer, baseball, etx??

Jerry West did great as a general manager but considering how many times he failed to win against the Celtics in the finals I think he knows how it feels for things to not work out. There is truth in what you say, great players have special things that made them different and probably had coaches trying to make them play a more standard playstyle and just ignored them and played their way. And their way its great because it fits their greatness. But most players arent them, other players arent as obsessed or as gifted with the sport as them and as owners they have to accept that, they have to accept that if a player cant win against an opponent in a 1v1 it isn't like he is lazy or weak, he simply isn't good enough. But I think that Lebron will be capable to making the transition because he also knows what it is to fail even with your best efforts even when you are elite. He is also a facilitator so he is more used to assessing the strengths and weaknesses of players.
