@@pedroribeiro9372 I don't use that feature, but I believe you can set it up for a beep alert and/or a vibration. I have used the vibration mode for weather alerts and it will wake you up out of a dead sleep. The vibration is impressive.

I own the Fenix 3 HR but over the years it has slowed down quite of bit. and I was in the market for a new watch, one that's more responsive quicker and lighter. for the summer hiking and fishing trips. As I've been reviewing more of your videos I can see this watch can be use for more than just fishing and hiking and working out. It also fits perfect in the workplace with all the information it provides. And also the lightweight plays a big factor I will be receiving mine tomorrow really looking forward to it. @@Felkins Sadly I had to sell my Instinct to get the Fenix 6, but I'm sure they still have it on there. I recommend calling Garmin, maybe they can help.
The number one thing I want from a smart watch/fitness tracker is that I don't want to worry about water damage, temperature and durability. The watches condition should be an afterthought for me. This garmin looks like it can do that
From what I reviewed on UA-cam, you need a smartphone with Internet for more features to work. I only have a WiFi only Android, meaning no data plan. Will the phone still work, let's say: hiking and GPS? I'm not doing any mountaineering or scuba diving. Thanks
I know this has been up for a while but the inreach is a satellite messenger and the xero is a archery sight and it marks where you were when you shot and where you were shooting to

Thanks for your great tutorial, without it I would be totally lost. However 2 questions, I set the alarm for 11:30 pm. (1): How do I snooze? (2): Can I mute the alarm, it comes on for about 10 minutes, stop for about 10 minutes, then comes back on for another 10 minutes. During which the closed lock appears in the upper right corner. Did I do something wrong or press too many keys? Thanks in advance for your answers. John
How does the sunrise and sunset work on these watches, is the location automatically picked up or you provide that information? What about weather/temperature? it picks up from internet or sensor detects the ambient temperature?

Dear Gauging Gadgets, I have some questions. Is it not possible to run this without connectin to my cellphone? I will use this for running a trip, WITHOUT my phone for once. One feature I'm curious if this watch has is call notifications? I understand this watch is a fitness tracker first, but one feature I really like having is being able to see who is calling on my watch while my phone is in my pocket (silent). Can anyone fill me in?
Yes, this watch has this feature. When you receive a call it will show you who is calling and you will even have the option to answer or decline the call from the watch. Answering the call will answer it on your phone, which can be useful if you have Bluetooth headphones connected to your phone. If you have an Android phone you will also be able to respond to the caller with a text. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you for this review! Someone might have mentioned it, Dog Track works with other Garmin devices, in my case the Astro 430 GPS and T5 collars for your dogs. It allows you to get your dogs information without having to take out your Astro 430, you can see how far your dogs are away, in which directions, and hopefully whether or not the dogs are on point or moving. It's why I ordered the watch, and I'm here to see what else it can do, thanks again.
Yes and when he says "Things like that" and "Really cool" he also likes to be in the shower. Seriously though it was great for him to take the time to tell us. Hello! I believe this is possible. I'll make another comment once I do some research. I totally understand not wanting the auto goal. Have you ever tried it? After a little bit you get use to it and it's cool because it will help you improve. It also lowers if you miss your goal so it helps you progress back up if it's been a while. I like the rugged look but I don't really use GPS nor run and hike. Would you consider this watch overkills and a waste of money if I only get this watch for tracking daily activity and HR during exercise? If you do, can you recommend something that has similar rugged look and great battery life?
For first time users, it would be useful to say which of the 5 buttons you press to do whatever you are doing. I can watch your fingers, but that is not always exact. I needed to re-run several times to catch your finger changing color to find the button you are pressing.

Broadcast means to broadcast over ANT+ to something like a Garmin edge device.

It depends on the charger used but I would say 60 to 90 minutes.

According to Amazon's Q&A for this product (and, I believe, the Garmin website), it can connect to chest strap using ANT+

how many track can we save into this watch?
I like the rugged look but I don't really use GPS nor run and hike. Would you consider this watch overkills and a waste of money if I only get this watch for tracking daily activity and HR during exercise? If you do, can you recommend something that has similar rugged look and great battery life?

For first time users, it would be useful to say which of the 5 buttons you press to do whatever you are doing. I can watch your fingers, but that is not always exact. I needed to re-run several times to catch your finger changing color to find the button you are pressing.
Would you say the Garmin instinct is too thick? I'm thinking about buying the watch
