      offering only traceback and straight line is completely stupid. How about shortest route. That would be the opition one would want, when you dont want to go back the same route, possibly because you just want to get home fast.

      @@maxmeier532 The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Good job.

    Thank you for your great videos.
    If you are already in trackback mode, is there any way to stop using the trackback function without cancelling the current activity?

    When I return to start I go to middle button on left side of watch and scroll down to navigate. This way the watch does not pause.

    Lets say Im on a longer day hike route. After a while (but still far from the end point of my day hike) I realize I have gone off trail. So I use the Tracback function until I hit the original route again. Is it then possible to stop the tracback function and continue the original route without losing all my data? Because I assume if you use the discard function after finish Tracback all the data that was collected up until my deviation will be lost, correct?

    • @JUMBLE2015
      @JUMBLE2015  5 місяців тому

      Once you get back to your original route you could either Save the Activity (so you have it), and then start a new activity from that point (and later make a course using both activities together). Or you could just choose resume late for the first activity. . . . then resume it whenever you want, so that it is all saved under that one activity. As you said you would not want to discard or else you will lose everything. I hope that all makes sense.

    Great video, thanks. Lets say I start from point A, reach final point B. Stop and save the activity to take a break for an hour at point B. Now I want to go back to point A from where I started. Can I lookup past activities and go back to point A? Or any other alternative to mark starting point A and and at a later time, track back the activity from destination B to A?

    • @JUMBLE2015
      @JUMBLE2015  Рік тому +3

      You can navigate back to a saved activity. I have never tried that, but I think it will basically navigate you back to the starting point of a prior saved activity. The other option would be you could stop the activity at point B. . . and choose "Resume Later". Then when you are ready, resume the activity and navigate back to the start (which would essentially be taking you from where you currently are to the start of the activity (Point A). I hope that makes sense and helps.

    Is there anyway to see how much memory is consumed on the watch or set a warning when memory is getting full, meaning you need to sync it or risk losing it

    Is it true that you have to have the garmin app open and running to use the watch?

    • @JUMBLE2015
      @JUMBLE2015  2 роки тому +3

      Not true at all. I hardly ever open Garmin Connect (APP). I basically open it when I want to sync all the information from my watch to my Garmin account (i.e. steps, activities, etc.). Now if you want to get updated weather, cell phone alerts, etc.. . . then you need to keep your watch connected to the phone (but not the Gamin Connect app). Garmin Connect you just connect to sync, see the map of your activity, etc. I hope that helps and makes sense.

      I used a Apple series 2. It was ok. Battery couldn’t reach the end of the day. 😂 the. I migrated to my wife’s old forerunner 45. I loved it. So I decided to buy my own watch, noticing i didn’t need all the crap colorful no battery gimmicks of Apple Watches… I studied for some weeks and bought the instinct 2x too! It is amazing. I’ve been using it for a week, heavy use- gps, customization, flashlight… the battery already dropped from 70% to 50% in a week! It seems like next month I’ll have to charge it.. 😂😂😂

    Please show us one function at a time. So please do not explain any thing else, such as: to trackback:
    1. Press GPS button #2.
    2. Hit Up or Menu to see Tracback (middle left button #3)
    3. Hit Yes or GPS to select button #2.

      I thought it was confusing at first, but after spending a few minutes playing with it, it’s really quite simple. I think what throws people off is no touch screen, and reverting back to buttons.
