Gonna have to attempt this soon as Colorado summer is coming and my pump has been out but all winter. Not looking forward at all to getting it out and especially pulling the hoses off bc mine looked stuck corroded on. Any tips before I dive in?
That's good. Get ahead of it before the summer. The car will thank you for it. It's pretty straightforward removal and install. The hardest part for me was the factory hose clamps. I would suggest you put on some worm clamps in case you ever need to remove the hoses. And be prepared for the DEX-COOL spilling out. It gets everywhere. Good luck with the project. Thank you for watching!
#quadstatecameras Good vid. What you think about thread locker on those bolts. Do you think they would help to prevent vibrations from loosening them? I would say the medium strength one for that job.
great video -- you just had wrong tool for those type of clamps -- thank god i had the correct tool when i did a Stealth Heat Exchanger and zzp hose kit
There are no videos on the stock heat exchanger hose routeing It would be very helpfull if you could do a video of where all the hoses go and maybe draw it out -- Thanks
It was $100.00 on eBay. You can get a better quality one off of ZZP for the same price. I decided on this one just to keep the Cobalt OEM. Hope this helped. Thank you for watching and consider subscribing!!
Thank You.

Great video. Keep up the good work
Thank you🙏
Would you know of another solution to keep the connector from coming of my pin fell off
I'm not too sure. I'd say go to a local junkyard and see if you can get one off another cobalt. If not try a zip tie.
zzp sells a new connector, buy the connector and just take the metal pin off it. works fine
Great video
Thank you for watching!
Color looks very good. For fun Duplicolor number if you have.
Do you have to bleed after this replacement?
I did. I let it run for a little while. And every so often, I'd check the levels and fill if needed. Thank you for watching!.
@@PonysGarage Just picked up an 06 Cobalt so I'll be around haha, thanks for the response🤟
@@KyngRonin Congratulations on the Cobalt!🔥🔥🔥
Good work.

I haven't had an issue yet with those bolts loosening up. But threadlocker would be a good peace of mind.

Good idea. I'll see if I can draw something up for a future video. Thanks for watching!

What coolant do you use?
Dexcool from Auto Zone. Good stuff.
