Too close for comfort man lol. I’m glad that you made. I did that coming from Harley 120th Anniversary. I was in the middle of no where and saw a small gas station. I was so happy. I was in the red zone. Great video
I usually take my 2014 road King down to about 50 miles range or so, but often a lot less. A couple times I've brought it down to "low range" (which happens around 10 miles range on my bike). I always zero my trip odometer when that happens, and one time I rode it another 20 miles past "low range". My bike has a 6 gallon tank and on that fill up I stuffed in 5.6 gallons, so even when it was 10 miles past "zero range", I still had some gas in the tank. I don't want to make a habit of that, but it's nice to know there's some "reserve" left after the bike says it's empty.
@@Speedie1010 I would have easily made it to Pierre if I had just topped off the tank before leaving Sturgis. I assumed one of those gas stations would be open. Won’t make that mistake next year!
I love your videos. Your camera work is next level. But you are not in Pierre at that holiday station. You are somewhere else saying it is Pierre. I am a local so this is how I know this. Ride safe!!!
@@chilichad Sometimes you forget to film things and have to do some “re-shoots” to wrap up the story. Unfortunately I don’t have the budget of a Hollywood film to fly to Pierre or rent a green screen 🤣🤣🤣
Never made it to SD. Only rally I have been to was 2005 Daytona rally rode I grandfather's 2000 SC road glide I inherited after he passed. He got it to go there so I had to take it there. 2nd night it was stolen.. police said it was 1 of 11 taken over night. No one talks about that side of the rally. I was told that I would probably never see it again and they were right. 2 days home on a greyhound. Not gone to Florida again not even for vacation . Still not been able to get a HD. Git close a time or 2 but hopefully one day I can start over
Too funny that it seem to me that almost a lot of HD Riders like to leave on the edge!!!🤣😂Everytime I ride with my sister and my brother in law who have HD they always seem to want to stop when we so not have any gas stations close by!! ! Thanks for the video!
Totally been there with Papa Bonez coming back from the 120th luckily it was only his bike that ran out my Low Rider ST apparently got better gas mileage then his ultra 😬
Sturgis 2024 finale, Banff is next!!

I thought would for sure be hitch hiking 🤣🤣. Riding at 50mph for an hour was painful…
Great Vlog my friend. Excellent vest choice. Always top off brother.
@@MattLaidlaw It’s a great vest, very comfortable!

Awesome video, i'll be in Sturgis next year for the 1st time.

Been there, done that with my 150 mile range 03 Road King. Will tell you my Howe's Corner story sometime over a beer.

Thanks for the ride along and video 👍👍
Thanks for watching!
How much fuel did you put in the tank when you got to the station? How many miles?
Good question, I should have taken a photo of the pump to remember.

@@twoup_inthe_wind Sturgis is more fun than Daytona anyway, way better riding.

Really like your riding videos, but why don't you use your helmet mic for audio when you're riding?
@@mark2graves-MC I do sometimes. It doesn’t always work. Still trying to sort out the audio.
