- A "how to" on rigging for plunking for Northwest Salmon and Steelhead. All you need is a good stout rod, some Spin-n-Glos, lead weight, leader material, hooks, and everything else seen right here in this video.

Answer for attaching yarn fishing Spin Glos. The leader is tied on the hook creating an egg loop. Put the yarn around this loop and pull tight. Also add egg to the loop.
Moved from Portland OR two years ago and miss plunking for steelies dearly... Im gonna try this this morning for browns here in Tennessee...
I forgot to mention... I have used the 3 ways and the spreaders they tangle the same amount. Learn to adapt your casting abilities. You gotta have a little finesse. Try casting with a sidearm flip motion make sure you have a smooth arc and toward the end of your cast thumb it so your weight stops. That should swing your glos in line and they should fall straight down to the water. Practice is all there is to it.
This is a very informative video. I might suggest the use of the top spreader. You can run the two glos on bottom and take the top glo off. And use that spreader as your Kwik fish stop. The leader lengths are pretty spot on I run pretty much the exact setup shown. Good job!
@idahochas go to the river and tell that to the HUNDREDS that line the banks fishing exactly the same way.
