Wow considering the injury and illness, you held it together very well and a 28 minute PB is killing it. Congrats I love the Goggins quotes, and I will remember your grit when I’m out going for my 1st marathon in just over a fortnight Thanks your inspiring
Respect Ryan great effort ... I have a half marathon on Sunday had a sore throat the last few days was thinking of pulling out , but after seeing this I have to do it now .......
Another great job Ryan! I can't get my mind around the injury and food poisoning and doing this; absolutely amazing. You continue to inspire and put a smile on my face. Look forward to your next adventure!
Like the Mark Lewis duck pond podium imitation. Starting back on the bike this week - snapped Achilles is now 1 piece rather than 2 so the weight loss journey can start again. Loving these videos, seeing your progress is great to watch and I hope to emulate in some way
Thanks Andy. Always got to strike a strong man pose. Good luck back on the bike. I need to start my IRL bike training for the London 2 Brighton I've signed up to.
@@RyanCondon you'll be fine Ryan, if you can run a marathon off the back of 2 weeks with no training, an injury and food poisoning, L2B will be child's play. Just don't try and do it on a 14kg mountain bike, it won't be as much fun.
Fantastic video, Ryan! A lot of fun to see. Your dedication, tenacity & excitement are evident in your GoPro footage , er, oops, I mean evidence. Congratulations on your PB🎉 Yo Tracie!
Congrats on the PB! I used to be a vegetarian and would periodically deal with food poisoning like symptoms. Unfortunately it’s just a part of the diet. I can’t wait to see you go sub 5!
Thanks for the compliment but I would argue it's absolutely not part of the diet. Been Vegan for 5 years now and this is the first time it's happened. I do agree it can happen though.
I'm very impressed you could do the race with that food poisoning just days before, and still manage to do a PB! Congrats! And thank you for the video, it's very inspirational for a former jogger wanting to get back into it
You've been through the ringer a bit recently, and you still managed to do a marathon? With basically no training? That's amazing, Ryan. And, I don't know if it's quite normal for you, but to have recovered so quickly after it is testament to what a good foundation of fitness you have now. Fantastic result, knocking so much off your previous time. If you'd had training before, you'd have absolutely blitzed it. Well done, mate. You continue to be seriously impressive. 👍💪👌
Makes me annoyed I didn't train in my twenties instead of starting at 38. Thanks for the comment Lee. The injury was painful, overstretched the ligaments and still not 100% now but I figured, what the hell. I spent nearly 20 years not exercising, I'm not going to let a injury stop me. Getting the sh1ts wasn't part of the plan though.
Loving watching your videos Ryan, first discovered them a couple weeks ago when I got my Zwift set up and looking for tips...now finding myself binging through the rest of the vids..to the point where I've just signed up for a 100k ultra! Great inspiration, keep it up mate! 🙂
So impressed, well done on your PB Ryan. Your vids are highly entertaining, keep up the good work.
Thank you Edd1016. I appreciate that. Pleased you like them.

Good for you. Hope you feel better.
Great effort mate, and nice to meet you last weekend (I was the guy in the red shirt). Keep doing these videos, really good content!
I remember. Great to meet you too. Hope you're first marathon experience was great and you've planned your next one already. 💪
And congrats on the PB! Just imagine what you could have done without the handicaps1

Means alot.
Tracie says Hi!
Got the evidence! Cracking run, overcoming injury and illness. 🎉🎉🎉
Brilliant well done! 💪💪 Especially considering what you've went through in the build up to the race.
Cheers Scott! 💪
My friend finished 2nd female and she said it ws crazy. People everywhere. Great effort. Well done 👌
It was properly busy. Great atmosphere though. Fair play on your friend coming in 2nd!! Thanks for the comment.

Congrats man! You had enough reasons to not even start, but you finished it, hat off to you!
Thank you! Appreciate that. 🙏👍🙌

@@RyanCondon Yeah, I feel the same about starting exercise/cycling so late in life. Montezuma's Revenge is absolutely no joke at any time, though.
Terrific effort! Congrats on the PB 💪💪🏃♂️

Thank you James. You're very kind. I cant believe you have signed up for a 100k Ultra. 😱
@@RyanCondon Nor can my wife! I hit 40 coupe weeks ago, so feel like I need to do something, luckily I've got a year to train for it!😎
@@jamesrobinson2200 good for you! I hope you smash it. 💪
Brilliant stuff. Rule #1: Always throw the knife hands sprint in the last 100m - even in an ultra. "Stay Hard!"
ABSOLUTELY! thanks Hedders!
