It’s really fun to experiment with different types of pokemon you’ve never used before, and some people just have the most plain and predictable teams for each playthrough.
I CAN NOT agree with Innialape. He gets a ton of love because he is arguably the most deserving of it. I have love Mankey since Gen 1. It is actually my only favorite pokemon of type that has never changed. I will admit, it was a tiny bit lacking but Innialape has fulfilled my dream of it being incredible and it has put in the most work and most carries on my team. It is not overrated. It is deserving of its glory.
This seems to be the video form of the "old man yelling at clouds" meme. It would have been nice to hear more about who you feel should be considered as replacements for these on teams.

I honestly think Farigiraf is very underrated. I can't recall ever facing one on ladder or showdown, but it has been on almost every one of my own teams and absolutely carried. The prio-immunity for both it and it's teammate makes it great at setting trick room or enabling your tailwind user, and makes it an amazing switch in for things like e-speed dragonite or technician bullet punch scizor. For the ruin legendaries I only thing Chien-Pao and Chi-Yu ar overrated. They are on almost every team in the formats that allow them, but I almost never see Wo-Chien or Ting-Lu which is crazy to me considering their abilities have a much lower chance to backfire than the other two. I won't dwell on Toedscruel too much since my last comment about it was featured in the video so it's pretty clear where I stand, but after seeing Wolfey and JaidenAnimations run eviolite Toedscool with protect, spore, rage powder, morror coat, I'm convinced it's a good pokémon. But I guess Toedscool being good kinda strengthens your point about Toedscruel being overrated. Also toedscool's walking animation is one of the best things I've ever seen.
When your Baxcaliber has 300 attack and 220 speed, glaive rush instantly sweeps, even if the Pokémon against it is a higher level. It is my MVP. It is fantastic and nothing can change my mind lol
So one pokemon is overrated based on one move and 2 mons (new evo's) are overrated because?? And what makes cyclizard exactly overrated? Based on, again, a move/ability?
The people who mainly wanted a pepper grass/fire type seem to be unaware that there is a tree that drops exploding seed pods. Too bad seed bomb already exists.
I think shiny Pokémon should’ve made this list since they made it a little too easy to get shiny Pokémon I already have 5 shiny Pokémon and I don’t even have the shiny charm yet
Gardevoir will stay as a favorite of mine since my first play through of the original generation 3 games, had it on my team every chance i got when a game had the Pokemon as an option, now as for the GodZilla looking Pokemon i have it on my team mainly cause i like its design, i did have DunDunsparse on my team at some point but changed it to a more suitable Pokemon do to it just being disappointing, i wanted to see it get an evolution, but this was a sort of let down, as for the other Pokemon i didnt pay all to much attention to them after i captured them
Yes gardevoir is an amazing pokemon when ever i need a reliable psychic type i typicaly chose gardevoir. In legends Arcues Gardevoir, Lucario, and Zoroark were amazing and very useful in the game
Gardevoir is really good. Swampert is the only Gen 3 I like over it. It's like Alakazam but a little weaker, and one you don't need to trade to evolve.
I adore Mankey also, but found it lost a lot of its charm when it evolved & never felt finished to me. Thankfully that has changed & I can see myself using it a lot in future games. It looks badass & is actually good.
@@-Puppet- She's a small sassy thing with a big hammer that bonks metal birds. People find that cute. It will probably be the Pokémon in the anime that follows the group because one of them has a Coviknight, probably ending up with Team Rocket. Calling it now. Lore is a stretch, but that could be said a lot with how Pokémon adds to its characters.
That's a solid strat. I think, though, that it works best if as long as either you go last or you set up and then knock the other 'Mon out first. That said, people could also go with Feint, Phantom Force, or even an Urshifu with Unseen Fist (assuming that they bring that one back).
Just protect after glaive rush and you’ll literally eliminated any downside. Also tera ice ice shard has been priority ohkoing garchomo for me so that’s pretty nice
This is a great list if you simply remove “overrated” from the entire conversation and title. Just top 10 fan favorite Pokémon is SV. Except gardevoir is entirely out of place either way
I have mixed emotions about kingambit and baxcailbur. Baxcailbur is cool but that move glavier rush is so OP when you keep on using it and takes the damage.
Skeledirge is my most overrated Pokémon, it has no coverage moves outside of Earth Power, & while Unaware is good when paired with Torch Song, it can’t use that combo because it’s Speed stat is abysmal While the Meowscarada & Quaquavel have seemingly endless coverage moves & have the Protean & Moxie abilities respectively as their hidden abilities
Honestly, at least from what I've seen, I feel like half of these pokemon aren't even popular (dudunsparce scolvillian etc.) And the ones that are highly rated I feel are properly rated because they either are or can be great pokemon. 3 examples Ceruledge and armorouge are generally good pokemon with good move pools and good stats. With baxcalibur glaive rush can be easily compensated for with protect. And Tinkaton has 1 of the best typings in the whole game. I don't understand how these pokemon are overrated. Just because a pokemon is highly rated doesn't mean it is overrated.
Honestly when I first heard that they actually made a chili-based Grass/Fire Pokemon my mind instantly went to Xenoverse´s Scovile, which looked awesome and was a powerhouse. ...And we get Scovillain, which looks kinda lame apart from its two heads. I hoped for more from the very first official mon of this duo-type.
Gotta disagree with Annihilape. That thing carried me through my play through. You’re probably talking about overrated for competitive battling though.
#10 I'm sorry but seriously!? there's people out there who like Dunsparce's lazy evo? #9 HOW??? Baxcaliber's practically overshadowed by all the other Pseudo-legend Pokemon they crammed in S&V! #7 that's arguable... But just wait till you meet Iron Valiant! #5 Says the guy named after a dark type Pokemon, and the hype is Very warranted since this is the first generation to have No. PSYCHIC! Legendaries. #4 Honestly Mycelium Might is pointless when the Ability, Mold Breaker, can also by pass Goldengo's ability so I have to agree. #3 Design wise, yes it coulda been a lot better, but just wait till this thing becomes a Harsh Sunlight weather nightmare!!! #1 We all lived through Gen 8, and Zacian is to blame for how amazing Fairy/Steel Pokemon can be! On top of that it's a well balanced Pokemon with a powerful signature move to make up it's middling attack stat and it can actually take hits to survive. I've seen players use Clodsire through their whole game and it has 70 bts less then Tinkaton!
Mystic: I love Gardevoir, I love putting it on every BEST TEAM. Audience: yeah.. We know. Also Mystic: Gardevoir is overrated. Audience:😱😱🤣 Also also Mystic: Well.. It is a great option, so how can you pass it up Audience:🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
I'd say I'm surprised some of the paradox pokemon aren't on here but people tend to bash them and say gamefreak just "recycled ideas". I do hope the paradox mons will get more love in the future though. My personal favorite is iron treads which helps me out a LOT with fairy tera raids and I like that it smiles at you when you give it a bath, despite being seen as a cruel pokemon
Highly disagree on your opinion about Glaive Rush because Protect exists so that guaranteed can't miss/crit on the following turn is not that big of a deal, plus Baxcalibur can run Dragon Dance so it's not guaranteed at all that your opponent will move before you the next turn.
I wouldn't say Tinkaton is overrated more that it under performs in the comp scene. It's popularity I'd say is because of it's cool design and gimmick not so much how she performs in comp.
I know what drew me to Baxcaliber is that I think this is the first game you can pretty reliably obtain the games pseudo legendary early in a playthrough. I had mine by gym 2 in my party, even if he didnt listen yet. Which is awesome, I basically had the team I wanted for the playthrough for like 98% of the game and that just doesnt really happen outside of you trading in mons from other games.
Same but with Cetitan, I went out of my way to catch doubles of all the Pokémon I wanted on my team so I could get eggs and start at lvl 1 for each, not even through my first gym and already have a Sco villain and cetitan
I ain’t watching the rest of the video, but from #10 is he really calling them overrated because people simply like the Pokémon themselves in general? How you said two of them aren’t “rocking the meta” but have them in an overrated list 💀 your literally telling ppl they are wrong because they like them 😭
2:24 EXCUSE ME?? The downsides can be so easily mitigated with Protect lol, and when you do that, it's an insanely powerful Dragon move with pretty much no drawbacks.
I think this is just his genuine opinion and he probably realized putting out there would stir up some conversation, should have made it clearer he wasn't trying to present this as a 'factual video' tho
Scovillain in doubles can spicy extract a clear body or clear amulet teammate and just give them an SD boost, and it also gets rage powder so it could have some merit in doubles.
Disagree on all of them except for Gardevoir. The first four are awesome, with Glaive Rush you can use protection or simply replace it with Dragon Claw, Scovillain has access to the ability Chlorophyll who makes it practically unstoppable after using Sunny Day.
Tinkaton looks cool but I'm not a big fan because its stats are lackluster. If I need to rely on swords dance for it to be good I cant really see my self using it a lot.
You don't need to rely on Swords Dance to be good, you only need to Rely on Swords Dance if you are using tinkaton as an Attacker, its stats are better suited to being a SpDef tank with its good SpDEF and Decent speed, makes for an excellent Hazard setter
@@GravityIsFalling It's bad with Dragon Claw? First I heard of it. I was mostly talking about singles and even then, I play for fun, not for the glory of points. So some stuff may not always be absolutely accurate to the current competitive scene. The more I know...And it still has nice coverage moves too, so there's that.
He mentioned it in a previous video. Gholdengo is only bad due to how hard he is to obtain, but one you have it, it's a solid mon. The other 3 aren't that good
@@manporo5865 But how does bad = overrated. Gholdengo is played so often but cetitan, scovillian, and dudunsparce aren’t played rarely or ever. Something can’t be overrated while barely anyone is playing it.
@@past2908 Cetitan was hype (one of the first released Pokémon) and played a lot in playthroughs if you go through some comment sections, Dundunsparce was memes mainly, and Scovillain was on a ton of teams (mine included) as seen in comment sections. Gholdengo was never any of these, it was just not worth for the main story due to the difficulty of evolving it which a lot of people have come to accept.
I’d say cyclizar is so good at shed tail not because it can keep shed tail up but because it can safely bring in its teammates. Even if the substitute breaks, you safely brought in a threatening Pokémon and it’s easier to safely do because of its speed stat
Alot of these simply just arent overrated though... like at all.. the stats are a fact and the designs speak for themselves. Baxcalibur, Annihilape, Kingambit. Tinkaton I kinda understand but even then no cuz the attack stat is bae 70 which is really low for a physical attacking threat but its signature move Gigaton Hammer hits at base 160 power, Giving Tinkaton more of an attack stat would insanely broken like even on a legendary scale
charizard and ceruledge is now tied for my favorite pokemon. i kinda like the fact that the only difference on its shiny form is its eyes. its color scheme is just perfect
Strong disagree on the premise. "I don't think it will live up to the hype" is a very different type of evaluation than going back to other generations retrospectively and looking at which Pokemon were hyped up then that didn't pan out.
I will forever stand by Gardevoir. It's been a staple since Gen 3 for me, since it literally won me Battle Frontier in Emerald. And now it's even gotten stronger with the Fairy typing and all that. Any game I can get a Ralts in, I try to get it as early as possible. I don't think it's overrated at all. It's correctly rated. Perhaps overused, but it's overused for a reason. Scovillain's design is awful. I was so looking forward to a pepper pokemon but it just looks so bland. They should've based it off some of the hottest peppers' names (Carolina *Reaper*, Trinidad *Scorpion*, Naga *Viper*). Baxcalibur's design would be neat if it had more back fins and not just the one.
I love Scovillain but it feels like a middle stage evolution to me, it really would have benefited from another stage, even if the stats didn't change much

You leave the dragon types alone!!!
Meanie! Or someone will make a worst moments of mysticumbreon
When your Baxcaliber has 300 attack and 220 speed, glaive rush instantly sweeps, even if the Pokémon against it is a higher level. It is my MVP. It is fantastic and nothing can change my mind lol
Gardevoir is solid but honestly it would be better if we just had the new pokemon instead of the old pokemon
People dont care about things taking up the meta
So one pokemon is overrated based on one move and 2 mons (new evo's) are overrated because?? And what makes cyclizard exactly overrated? Based on, again, a move/ability?
The people who mainly wanted a pepper grass/fire type seem to be unaware that there is a tree that drops exploding seed pods. Too bad seed bomb already exists.
I think shiny Pokémon should’ve made this list since they made it a little too easy to get shiny Pokémon I already have 5 shiny Pokémon and I don’t even have the shiny charm yet
I honestly couldn’t agree more I got 7 before I had the shiny charm (I now have 13 with the shiny charm)
As someone who’s favourite Pokémon as a kid was Mankey, I’m just happy my angry boi got some love. It being a decent Pokémon was just a bonus.
Oh he's not just decent he's broken
I adore Mankey also, but found it lost a lot of its charm when it evolved & never felt finished to me.
Thankfully that has changed & I can see myself using it a lot in future games. It looks badass & is actually good.
Mystic: Tinkaton is overrated
Tinkaton: So, you've chosen violence.
The only way to make glaive rush GOOD is by using protect or dragon dance before so you can hit faster
People love tinkaton for her design and lore, not because of stats.
What lore? 🤔
@@FaolanHart i can tell for sure ash or one of his friends will have one.
Baxcalibur is good because glaive rush you can just protect
That Base 145 attack, decent bulk, unique ability and access to DD makes Baxcalibur a good sweeper.
Garchomo 😂

Personally I think Skeledirge is overrated
Non competitive players making videos without vision.
I'm still not a huge fan of Kingambit from a design aspect as of right now, since I find the design is a bit too busy
@@bulborb8756 the fans had the same thoughts about bisharp before seeing it in the anime
We used too judge a pokemon just by its game spirit
Seems like your list is just "pokemon people like from scarlet and violet." Kind of dumb to call all of these new popular pokemon "overhype."
Skeledirge is my most overrated Pokémon, it has no coverage moves outside of Earth Power, & while Unaware is good when paired with Torch Song, it can’t use that combo because it’s Speed stat is abysmal
While the Meowscarada & Quaquavel have seemingly endless coverage moves & have the Protean & Moxie abilities respectively as their hidden abilities
Scovillian is my favorite Gen 9 pokemon. I've been waiting forever for a chili pepper grass/fire Pokemon.
I’ve just been waiting for Grass/Fire, period. It’s about time!
Surprised Meowscarada and Skeledirge aren't here. Notice how I'm only talking about those two. There's one missing.
Honestly when I first heard that they actually made a chili-based Grass/Fire Pokemon my mind instantly went to Xenoverse´s Scovile, which looked awesome and was a powerhouse.
...And we get Scovillain, which looks kinda lame apart from its two heads. I hoped for more from the very first official mon of this duo-type.
annihilape and kingambit very much live up to the reputations
My team is Tinkaton, Ceruledge, Gholdengo, Clodsire, Meowscarada, and Umbreon lol
Gotta disagree with Annihilape. That thing carried me through my play through. You’re probably talking about overrated for competitive battling though.
He means in general, but he kept it in a general category and mentioned that Annihalape is probably not as overhyped
Undeserving of hype?
None other than mysticumbreon for being mean! Where’s my pitchfork…
Mystic: I love Gardevoir, I love putting it on every BEST TEAM.
Audience: yeah.. We know.
Also Mystic: Gardevoir is overrated.
Audience:😱😱🤣
Also also Mystic: Well.. It is a great option, so how can you pass it up
Audience:🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
I'd say I'm surprised some of the paradox pokemon aren't on here but people tend to bash them and say gamefreak just "recycled ideas". I do hope the paradox mons will get more love in the future though. My personal favorite is iron treads which helps me out a LOT with fairy tera raids and I like that it smiles at you when you give it a bath, despite being seen as a cruel pokemon
They deserve more love because mons like Roaring Moon and iron valiant look badass
This is the biggest L of a list ever
Dude used baxcalibur for my playthrough guy was an absolute unit
I know you’re right about Tinkaton but I still put it in my top 3 Pokémon of all time 😭
Highly disagree on your opinion about Glaive Rush because Protect exists so that guaranteed can't miss/crit on the following turn is not that big of a deal, plus Baxcalibur can run Dragon Dance so it's not guaranteed at all that your opponent will move before you the next turn.
Bax is OP ? Just use protect. It's literally one of the if not best pseudo legendary with his ability and GR.
This^
You’re wild for number 10 😂I can hear the pitch forks and torches prepping
Kingambit is awesome
I’m surprised hariyama and azumarill didn’t make it on this list 😂😂
The usefulness in raids makes them stand on their own, but they would probably be #11
@@manporo5865 I definitely agree just surprised they ain’t make the list like some of the other ones just like hit the box legendarys got exempted too
I ain’t watching the rest of the video, but from #10 is he really calling them overrated because people simply like the Pokémon themselves in general? How you said two of them aren’t “rocking the meta” but have them in an overrated list 💀 your literally telling ppl they are wrong because they like them 😭
I’ve never seen anyone talk about scovillian outside out of the 1st day of release. So def not overrated
2:24 EXCUSE ME?? The downsides can be so easily mitigated with Protect lol, and when you do that, it's an insanely powerful Dragon move with pretty much no drawbacks.
did you make this list just to be wrong and make people mad?
I think this is just his genuine opinion and he probably realized putting out there would stir up some conversation, should have made it clearer he wasn't trying to present this as a 'factual video' tho
@@ThePrimeDirective_ probably the worst opinion piece I've seen regarding this game tbh.
I will say Dudunsparce is the most overrated pokemon, its too perfect so Its both underrated and overrated.
*sigh* yeah, Tinkaton is a bit overrated, isn't it
I mean I love Baxcaliber because it's just pokémon Godzilla even down to its signature move being influenced by Godzilla. I love it
Scovillain in doubles can spicy extract a clear body or clear amulet teammate and just give them an SD boost, and it also gets rage powder so it could have some merit in doubles.
What if Charcadet gets more evolutions? I mean it does evolve using armors which are made from Pokemon material.
How dare you show Charizard at the beginning. The GOAT himself.
Disagree on all of them except for Gardevoir. The first four are awesome, with Glaive Rush you can use protection or simply replace it with Dragon Claw, Scovillain has access to the ability Chlorophyll who makes it practically unstoppable after using Sunny Day.
I respect your opinions
PS: I don’t like tinkaton because it attacks corviknight, cetitan scovillian, ting-lu and wo-chen
Dudunsparce and Girifarig being overrated is supposed to be point. That's the entire point of the joke behind them.
Nah, tinkaton is GOAT because I found two full odds shinies lol.
my boy is milking these top 10 videos, next ones gonna be best pokémon to use on a tuesday
@@HallowedKeeper_ true but I dont play competitive
You know you can just protect after using glaive rush right?
Or just use any other Dragon type move because this Pokémon is still really great without that move specifically, it's OU fot Christ's sake.
@@GoinGreninja
This Pokémon is dog shit without this move
Dragon claw is ass and outrage is unreliable
@@GravityIsFalling It's bad with Dragon Claw? First I heard of it. I was mostly talking about singles and even then, I play for fun, not for the glory of points. So some stuff may not always be absolutely accurate to the current competitive scene. The more I know...And it still has nice coverage moves too, so there's that.
@@GoinGreninja
Dragon claw is 80 BP
G rush is 120 BP
You never run dragon claw with this dude
@@GravityIsFalling I see...Well, I guess I'll need to update my team some if need be. My Baxcalibur uses Dragon Claw for the sake of an Assault Vest.
I think the psuodo legendary Pokemon need more variety.
Because we’ve already got enough Dragons? Preach it! Tyranitar and Metagross proved there can be a non-Dragon!
Coming into this game I thought Annihilape would be my favourite.. but tinkaton was havin none of that
another MU List with Gardi on it xP (Just poking fun, I promise! I love Gardi too)
Tinkaton should of had huge power as it's hidden ability instead of pickpocket
I’m pretty sure Gigaton Hammer is the reason why it DOESN’T have Huge Power. That’s too much power even for Thor.
How is Cetitan, Scovillian, and Dudunsparce in the video while Gholdengo isn’t?
"Tinkaton is overrated"
Tinkaton: that's it! Getting me mallet!!
Am I the only one who finds wo chien cute? I just want to hug one

charizard and ceruledge is now tied for my favorite pokemon. i kinda like the fact that the only difference on its shiny form is its eyes. its color scheme is just perfect
Shoutout to Jif peanut butter, the best not overrated peanut butter in the world!!!😃👍
Ya all watch gamefreak give tinkaton a mega evolution just to prove mystic wrong 🤣🤣🤣12:54
I partially agree that Tinkaton is overrated. Good Pokémon, but kinda overrated
Not really a good Pokémon, if not about the move gigaton hammer, it probably just as weak as normal mawile
She pretty much this generation Mimikyu.
