Great job on this Zephyr Martin, the fender skirts make the car look eloquent, sheek looking, very nice paint on it👍. My friend you take care, see ya on your next one.👋😎🚗🚙🚒
A real gem Martin. Glad you painted the wheels the same color as the car. A different shade of green might have taken away the beauty of this classic. Absolutely love this great Dinky.
What a delightfully simple, elegant model that Lincoln is: a proper joy to have owned, I bet. Sweet result, as ever, Martin and a sensitive colour. I look forward to what you plan for the custom one! You might still be waiting to get your eyes done, but the detailing is a masterclass!
Thanks fraser yes looking for a good set of custom wheels for the other one and then I can move on it dropping it down and a nice colour shift paint job with the air brush . All the best Martin 👍
@@martindaredare I guess it is going to need something ridiculously low profile on the tyres and mad on the wheels, plus a reversal of the baseplate: I'd be looking in toyshops for cheap stuff that can be robbed of its wheels - I scored an almost full rack of rally spares from a cheap set of Chinese tinplates the other day... at a tenth of the price of actuals from an established supplier! And Cadbury's purple metallic!
What a gorgeous model, the colour so suits it and you are right, what beautiful lines this one has, with your top class restoration, this is one that all of us would be proud to have in the display cabinet! Super job Martin, I love it👌👍😊All the best, Nick🐸🐸
Hi mate nice job. It's amazing how much the over painted muck covers up the detail and how much they come to life when you work your magic. You could say you put your magic on the magic.🤣😂 Very sleek a bit like an old Jag with the swoop back rear. The colour really suits it looks period to the day. This car reminds me of that old film...Genevieve when the old Derek breaks down and a bloke in a very streamlined Jag turns up and says....What's the matter need a new flint.😂🤣😁 Catch you on the next one mate.👍🏻
Cheers Geoff, yes it's always a great feeling when the thick over paint is removed to reveal the details, it's certainly a smooth looking car that's for shore all the best my friend
What a lovely green mate ,I like the green that girls has on them LV adds on her car ,yes chinooks they come over here in Hammersmith what a racket 😊,superb job my friend Mark 😊😊
That was the car that started me off . I'm a Gardener and I dug it up along with 4 others it was badly pitted and was twisted but 5 days filling and sanding . I did mine Gray with cream roof . Nice refurb as always 👍
@@austingreenough6396 Thank you Austin the customer a elderly man kept one and give me the others they was his & his brothers as kids his name was scratched into the base of the one he kept . Sadly both of them have died now but he loved seeing the ones I had restored . Brought back alot of memories for him . I love the hobby learned alot from Martin.
That's great news ,I bet it looks nice now ,some one gave me the damailer ambulance that thay had found whilst metal detecting and that was really rough so I know we're you coming from a lot of cleaning up that's for shore. All the best Martin 👍
@@martindaredare It definitely wasn't a bright idea to start your 1st restoration on something as bad as what this was but I thought alot of him so I'm glad iv got a few of his childhood cars in my cabinet to remember him by . it was only watching you & finding them that started me . Ohh the wife says thanks alot Martin 😂🤣
Thanks very much ,I was lucky with that colour I was actually looking to gets some red paint and I spotted the green and thought yep I have that and Iam glad it looks okay now I will get some more for stock. All the best Martin 👍
The Licoln Zephyr is a good one.. I saw one for sale some years ago in metallic purple. So if your'e into customising, I have a Dinky Humber Hawk that needs to be all black, jacked up at the back, with the closest you can get to Wolffrace wheels and yellow headlights. Just as I remember her from the Chelsea Cruise in the late 70's.
Thanks miss K ,you know what I seem to remember a car like that years ago at the crystal Palace custom car show that thay used to put on . All the best Martin
Hi Martin, I love the design of this car,in my opinion it was well advanced for its day. I have a number of these Dinky without glass and interior. I have one of these in original. condition.. Once again Martin well done Austin from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Great work MrDare! What a wonderful style this Lincoln is, they sure knew how to design a striking body. Not like today where you have to really look at the badge to see which make is what. A top job on the colour looks like it's straight from the factory. All the best to you my friend. Looking forward to seeing the next master class. Cheers Chris 👍🏻🍻🎯🇦🇺🇦🇺🏁
Wow Martin, the colour is perfect, it looks great. Did you use a primer before the green? The reason I ask is because I bought a can of Ford Highland green from Halfords and I tried it over grey primer and it was awful. The green was so thin and wishy-washy, it was the same with white primer and no primer. I ended up throwing it in the bin, I think it was a faulty can. Yours looks fantastic, just as it should be. The finished model looks brilliant on the old magic roundabout, well done. Looking forward to next weeks video. All the best. Peter.
Hi Peter, sorry to hear you had a problem with your can of paint did you warm up the can first sometimes if you don't this can happen, but if you did it's probably a dodgy can .I used gray primer on mine . All the best Martin 👍
HI Martin a nice simple resto ,turned out very elegant ,shows what can be done ,have a good weekend ,bfn

There's a link word between these. Lincoln has been owned by Ford for years. So Britain took the name Zephyr for one of their ranges
Cheers Ian ,I did wonder if there was a connection, now I know Cheers 🍻

Espantoso. La peor elección de color que vi en la enorme cantidad de videos de restauración. Lo prefería como estaba al inicio, al menos tenía clase.
