Lilburn, Georgia. Located in the southwestern corner of Gwinnett County saw its heyday as a
community back in the 1980’s and 1990’s when neighborhood after neighborhood was built and
families flocked here for the great schools and convenient access to jobs in downtown Atlanta.
In the first decades of the 2000’s, Lilburn remained largely stagnant while nearby communities
like Norcross and Duluth were busy developing their downtown areas, attracting restaurants and
shops, and becoming places their residents love to live.
Now, over the past few years and continuing to the present day, Lilburn is undergoing its own
revitalization and there are lots of exciting things happening and people are not only moving

A few problems I see Lilburn is their development strategy. They haven't been making the wisest decisions, and they are desperate for business, so all throughout the small city, you only see the same Mexican restaurants serving the same food in a very short radius.
It's like having 20 Mexican McDonalds all on the same block. There are a few good eats, but having 12 of the same is a waste of space when space is very limited.
The landscape and demographics is changing, so I'm not sure the newer residents will appeal to all of the same eats.
The schools are pretty good though.
A very good thing is that Lilburn is wedged in between Snellville, Tucker, Lawrenceville, and Norcross all of which are building towards Lilburn.

It's like a third world country in most of the smaller shopping centers. I grew up in Snellville/Lilburn during the 80's and 90's, graduated from Brookwood HS and it's amazing how it's changed for the worse.
