Note: Some places will ask to hold your passport when renting a bike. They usually require 1 passport per bike. Always have a photo copy of your passport and try to offer that instead (if you can). The passport is used as collateral should something happen to the bike. Some rental agencies will accept a large amount of money instead of the passport (amount determined at location). We’ve left one of our passports many times and never had it lost/stolen. Always go with your gut instinct and leave it at your own risk.
Dear All, I had to close this shop because of Covid, reopened now in a new location (much smaller, have to start from zero) near the South Gate directly opposite of the Airniversary Cafe. Hope to see you one day, Nung M25
Hi, thanks for informing where you moved - will be visiting you shortly. A question - do you know if it is allowed to drive 3 people (me, my wife and our 2 year old daughter) on a scooter or motorcycle?
Hi Nung , I wish to hire a bike to travel for 30 days around Thailand . Can I take this bike over border into Laos ?
@@Buzzhumma Hi there! In short, not with a hired bike, but you can buy one and get the paperwork. Must say I haven’t done it before, and don’t know anyone who did, only heard about the general possibility, like an urban myth type. May be an adventure worth doing, or not 😅 . In any case, good luck!
Y'all have extraordinarily interesting, informative and substantive vlogs! Superbly done always!
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Great tip on the international license, thanks guys! PS totally forgot about elephant graveyard and now looked that up, animated Lion King will always be #1.
😂 Thanks for checking us out!
We’re in Da Nang atm and we’re looking to rent a bike for the first time but we’re a bit worried because we had no clue about anything and you literally post this the same day !! ☺️☺️
Nice! Glad we could help 😃
All helmets have expiry dates as the internal stuff dissolves after expiry date so please make sure that the production date is not later than 5 years and make sure that it is not broken or has a crack as it can kill you, instead of saving your life.
You guys make great videos. Like, wow. I'm exceptionally particular (occupational hazard). Leaving in seven days for a 32 day trip and now I know without a current motorcycle cert I probably shouldn't get a bike even though I have an IDP. Extremely helpful!
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Good video... we were literally asking ourselves today "I wonder if there's a 'Thailand motorbike rental' video."
From what I've seen in SE Asia, price-points usually go Automatic, Semi Automatic, And Manual, Some countries the semi would be cheaper, others have the automatic for cheaper. All in all just be safe out there folks I've seen wayyy to many people get hurt on bikes in SE Asia!
Good tips dude. Well explained.
perfect thank you so much! you guys are just perfect in every way
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Lmaoo loved the video very informative
And it’s “THE FORGOTTEN TIMES VALLEY” in Lion King bro not Death Valley lmaoo
Also, he didn't walk through Death Valley. Death Valley is in California bro...They go to the Elephant Graveyard.
Excellent video. And very helpful.
Good point about helmets! That chin protector is critical
😉
im renting $5 a day in bankok... don't get ripped off, too many stupid people spoiling the locals and they learn to price 3x higher than should be
Great informative information! Jen go watch lion king hahaha
🙏🏼🙏🏼😆
Look, for those who had accidents, did you even have a motorbike licence in the first instance. It's not like riding a bicycle...
Hey! Great video. Any suggestions for a rental bike place in Phuket that will let us drive it to Bangkok and leave it there?
Thanks so much!
Thanks for this 😍😍😍
Hope it helps!
i rent a morotorbike at this place and it the best one !!
What about the insurance? How do I get a full peace of mind?
Just take extra precautions! 😎 Have fun love birds❤️😎😍
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Have you guys ridden your bike from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai ?? Thanks for this also! Very helpful information
Yea, at this point we've ridden all over Northern Thailand 😃Definitely has a special place in our hearts!
*me renting a bike in thailand*
- hello, here's 150bat, thank you, see you later
*me after*
- damn, I rented a bike without breaks again
😂
Very well thought out, and thorough review. Good job!
🙏🏼🙏🏼Glad we could help!
Laws aside, its worth getting a motorbike licence before trying overseas for one simple reason. There's a real sense of achievement knowing that you can ride...
Thanks bro
Sir! Do you know where I can rent a Legend Classic motorcycle ? Thank you
What if you dont have the motorcycle endorsement but you do have an international license?
Since when U need a license in Thailand
Perfect!
🙏🏼🙏🏼
We rented a bike in Vietnam that didnt work properly. We had an accident with several broken bones. Would not recommend.
Do you remember where/what the place was called? I was planning on renting a bike to go from Hanoi to Ninh Binh but now I’m a little scared
what will happend if you dont have driving license for bike can you still rent or ?
All an Int Drivers Permit is, is your licence info translated into ten different languages so law enforcement can read it. It is valid in 150 countries. But it is just a translation, not permission to drive. It is only valid for 12 months or when your home licence expires- whichever comes first. It is not valid in your home country. It will not be issued for any category of vehicle which is not at present covered by your driving licence. If you don't have a moto licence in your home province state/jurisdiction, you do not have one in Thailand or anywhere else that requires one. Apply for your IDP at a government agency or authorised auto club RAC/gov,uk/CAA/AAA only. Watch for the scams out there offering an IDP with other bundled services that you don't need but they want $200. or more. Here in Canada an IDP is $25.00 USA is I think $20.
To get idp for motorbike or scooter rental, my license has to be class m1 or class m2 correct? Just class c license wouldn’t work?
Do I need to leave my passport?
YOU GUYS ARE FUNNY.
😃
Estamos indo fazer um intercâmbio na irlanda, aí vou entender seu vídeo inteiro... rsrs... abraço... sucesso...😃
😂 vai firme 💪🏼
Can you extend your international driving permit online ?
No. You'll need to get a new one
Int Affair thanks. One year go by fast. Would hate to go back to AAA just for the permit
Don’t do it in Thailand , I’ve seen many accidents and a death.
Wildebeest Valley?
Elephant graveyard?
@@IntAffair :)
It is better to rent a small car, it is safer.
Wish we could answer but we've never rented a car in SE Asia
HA!
😉
Never seen a decent helmet in Thailand rentals. At least in touristy places. And they are useless. Almost the same as wearing cap and nothing more. But you need because of police. 🤷🏻♂️
Pretty much the same as a styrofoam cooler on your head 😆
