Hi Everybody, Thank you for checking out the video! What do you think of the Actioncade and do you think this is the ala carte solution John D was referencing at Comic Con?
For the love of all that is holy, what is WRONG with the decision-makers at Arcade1Up?!? All we've said for FOUR YEARS STRAIGHT is that we want arcade-accurate cabinets for use at home at a price we can afford. That's literally *all we want.* That's it! Why do they keep pursuing these distractions and pissing off their fans?
I could see one buying this and mounting it into your own cabinet. Either diy cab or some other cab with the insides pulled out, and then using your own controls/screen and making your own custom cabinet. If the emulation were spot on, those modders could end up making their own multicade. Or a 3rd party making a cabinet for this unit.
Arcade1up Flashback coming? Will be interesting to see this and how much it will cost if they actually produce it. Honestly this is what iiRcade should have down a smaller offering, like Gamer Pro and Gamer Mini style connecting to a puck.
Whatever the Actioncade is, I hope it's at least capable of holding a 12" ipad/Android device, with the ability to rotate the devices to get the maximum size content presentation on these screens. I do like the notion of being able to purchase games from A1up, via the online ios/Android stores. For those who own ipads, and Android tablets, this would be a great way to dip their toes into the home arcade scene. That said, you are right. This has been done by others, though they only provided a controller cabinet. We still had to buy games from other sources. Thanks for sharing this. :)
I would be willing to bet it will be some kind of console, or like said a mini arcade cabinet with no lower bottom so it does not infringe with there 3/4 cabinet sales.
“Actioncade…..yes, you too might finally get some!” Lol As always, I’d like to see what it actually will be but based off this so far, it’s not for me.
You could be right about all of this, but I think what you may be missing is the fact that Arcade1Up cabinets are already "Android devices", so the scope of what this could be is perhaps bigger than just a controller for a phone or tablet. Technically, their current cabinets are already just controllers for an Android device. The wording does indeed make it seem as if the most likely implementation is for a mobile device controller that interacts with a gaming app where games can be purchased, but it COULD also include an a-la-carte app for a cabinet that has an SBC running Android OS.
This is probably just another basic change they are going to make to an existing cabinet to try to squeeze more sales from gullible people. This company really pissed me off when they reissued Centipede with Akka Arrh replacing Quantum. Why couldn't both games be there? These files are tiny and these machines are using a basic version of MAME. The only release they had I though was interesting was the Pong bar table which is nice, but needed to include a piece of plexiglass since the fake wood they used on this one is not waterproof. The other one that looked nice but sold out and will probably never be remade is the Burgertime cabinet. The rest have been very shoddy design. The other joke are prices of some of these. I bought a real arcade machine Mortal Kombat for $450 and can get Street Fighter for around $600.
My guess would be an XL size cabinet with "Arcade1Up" logo graphics. May be several cabs based on license (Capcom, Nameco, etc ) if current licensing allow sharing. Not so sure I like this idea.

“Actioncade” is what I nicknamed my mattress
"I hope you are not getting paid a lot of money" I'm dead LOL

What we have all been asking for...???
The amount of risks they take with all these cades that go nowhere instead of focusing on their bread and butter 3/4, deluxe and Xl amazes me.
Remember when Sega was trying to simultaneously support eleven platforms at once? Then they abandoned the most successful one. That worked out well.
Probably a follow-up to the stupendous Projector Cade! Winning 😂
Argh... I was hoping Arcade1up would be making a big splash with the BidetCade. Bummer!
It will be another unnecessary refresh of arcade game cabs they've already released(PacMan, MK, Golden Axe, TMNT, etc)
Yes but now available through android and ios lol

I finally bought an AT Games Legends Ultimate. My Arcade is complete now.

At least the iPad/Tablet chipset would be powerful to run every game online like MvC2
A smart move would be to see which games are the most popular on this platform and then release their physical arcade versions.
My official position would be, let's wait and see what it is. Then I'll pass judgement. I am a little excited about this idea though.
Why do I feel it’s another TV plug-in… Just what we need another way to play games on a cell phone 😂 we shall see
lol its actually a plus your tv in is my guess

I know exactly what it is a bad idea🎉
They need to stay in their Lane
Pacman 4 life😂
Maybe its something similar to the INTEC Control deck that will have a device to download games.
Poor girl became a meme.
This sounds interesting.
You do know that Keith and Constorm are the same entity right?
