Something I'll never forget & I'm in my 60's now and still as big a fan as I was growing up in the 60's. Only one Elvis, often imitated but never equalled & never will be...
Yes that was a big mistake! But we also have to remember that the Grammy award first was introduced in 1958 after some of his most creative years. He still got 3 Grammys; 1 for the 67 album How great thou art, 1 for the 71 album He Touched Me and 1 for the live performance in 74 of the song How great thou art. But in 70 he also got a liftime achivement Grammy award at the young age at 36 , that was amazing in itself.
