Thank God that Ron was not hurt! The truck can be replaced. Now to deal with a hurricane on top of the loss of your truck - my heart really goes out to you. It's wonderful that you can hunker down in the office with some of your neighbors and have a cookout and maybe play some games. You will all be in my prayers. This has been a crazy storm season and even though my area has not been affected I will be glad to see this hurricane season finally end!

Well, that sure stinks, but Ron is okay. 🙏🏼 Hurricanes are always unpredictable and stressful. This is my 31st year in Jacksonville. Have never evacuated. Can't imagine being in that traffic, with no gas available. Glad you have a building to go to with friends. Faith over Fear.

That’s awful that you lost all your food. I suppose you’ll have to go buy all new food now! Ugh. We don’t have a generator here, but thankfully, I made some food ahead of time that will have for now. Don’t have any meat or anything in the freezer, so it should be OK for now. How are you guys doing up there at this point? ❤️
A few years back, a woman texting on her phone blew through a red light and t-boned my husband badly totaling his truck. Thank God no one was hurt. When he called to tell me what had happened he said "I got t-boned" , I thought he meant that he had gotten steak t-bones for dinner! We can now laugh about that part of it anyway. He loved his truck, too, but insurance replaced it and he loves his new truck just as much.
Oh, how awful your husband had to go through that! It’s just awful the way people aren’t paying attention to the road these days. It’s really bad down here in Florida! I’m glad he wasn’t hurt either. We know exactly how you both must’ve felt. That is actually really funny about the “T-boned!🤣 Good you can laugh about it now. And, you're right, there does seem to be a higher percentage of careless driving in Florida for some reason. Our son was stopped at a light and got rear ended by a texting driver a few years back.

Our son was under 21 at the time and luckily the car title was under my name and my husband's name. Had it been under our son's name he would have not been old enough to qualify for a rental car. Our son ended up driving my car and I had to drive the rental car while the damaged car was being repaired. A bit convoluted but it all worked out. I hope Ron finds a truck that he likes just as much.
