Had to come back and say that if it wasn't for me watching this video, I wouldn't have even thought to go to a cave and try to catch a shiny pokemon. I feel so lucky!
best thing about this method is that starters spawn on post-game here so its also a way to shiny hunt them(yeah, all the available starters can appear, from all gens, you just need your base to have statues of their types to boost spawn rate)
I just found out yesterday that even the sinnoh starters do indeed appear post game and that makes the new underground even better than it already was.

Catch chance seems to be affected by level. I couldn't catch anything when I was one or two levels below the underground pokemon, but as soon as I matched their level I could catch just as easily as anywhere else. I've heard the same from others as well
Seems plausible, I was having a very easy time catching when my Pokemon were early 20s and Underground were 16s. As soon as I beat Eterna my Pokemon were average 26 and the underground were 28, the catch rate drastically lowered.
I'm sorry I gotta ask, how is it you and other people finish the game so quick lol! I mean it just came out last week, it's barely new, I'm just taking my time and enjoy, no rush ya know lol

Well now there are nature mints so it really doesn't matter. The only thing you have to breed anymore is egg moves.
Thanks ! I was looking for a tutorial like this since the release of the game :)
I can confirm you actually can see shinys in the underground before starting a battle, HOWEVER, that’s only on 2 conditions;
1. if you never updated your game
2.don’t connect your switch to the internet while playing
since u save it when u enter the room csnt you just restart game once you've verified no shinies are in that room and just reenter the room without using any timer up
When I get bdsp I'm definitely using this method thx for the link code
Can't wait to start hunting in the underground! Still got a lot of hunts i wanna do in these games
Thank you for the explanation and help! 😁 much appreciated
Shiny hunting is fun, but I like it better if I run into a shiny by accident, it just makes finding that shiny more enjoyable.
Adrive are you planning to bring back surprise egg Saturday with BDSP? I think the adrive army miss that event
prolly as soon as the gws is active.
Great content and easy instructions as always @adrive good call on the saves lol I one shotted a shiny torchic.
I didn't expect the link code to work considering the fact I don't have an account set up to my switch and this vid is 9 months late xd
I saved soo many hours of Cal tracking to get ice fang, quick attack on a shinx, and only needed to breed to get a shinx I was happy with and planning to do that more when I get diamond as well
I actually got the shiny krickatot without Diglett hour (I know it's light stone but I call it Diglett hour) I got tried of just going in and out of the room just to reset the Digletts. So I decided to check krickatots In the room even without the boost, and low and behold. The first little bug I walk up to was my sunset yellow bettle.
Her name is Mezzo-piano if you wanna know
Nice name coming from a musician
@@xEeeveee thanks, I caught a male in legends in he's name is mezzo-forte
I'm still working on catching a alpha shiny krickatot and calling it Forte-fortissimo
@@hunting_fiver haha I should name my breath of the wild shiny kricketot something like that
I appreciate the tip I picked up a shiny Elekid because of this.
Thanks for the guide!
Well catch rates go down as the pokemon lvl go up. I don't think your own pokemon level affects it though.
I'm sorry I gotta ask, how is it you and other people finish the game so quick lol! I mean it just came out last week, it's barely new, I'm just taking my time and enjoy, no rush ya know lol
I needed this bc I want to start shiny hunting
I ended up getting shiny elekid without the diglett boost at 2am the other night haha. I was kind of shocked
So if you save right away, can't you just turn off your game and restart and keep doing that and the boost will stay active?
the diglett boost will go away no matter what after 5 mins until turned on again. so, no is the answer to ur question :/
Btw shiny odds is always 2:4096 in the grand underground anordning to Austin john plays.
Then hes wrong
@@unwanted-sb datamining showed that statues affected. I think someone needs to check the game code again
Sorry i just saw the comments on that video, he misread the datamine, its aleays 1/4096 except with diglet bonus.
@@royallunala976 then what is even the point of the Green statues
Love your videos adrive 🔥💪🏽🔥💪🏽
I'm gonna give this a try! I randomly caught a shiny Glameow which was pretty neat
If you play underground alone, can you save right next to the 40th diglet to get the 5 minutes over again?
Hmm good spot, I'll try that
I’m about to hop on and start this! Hoping there’s other people there too 😬
After lightstone (or how is it called)is it 3:4096 not 2:4096, underground is boosted
Yes, I have read that somewhere
Thank you adrive for answering that
You don’t need runaway ghost type has a passive ability of always running away
Are you going to make a video on shinny breeding??
SHINY IS NOT SPELLED WITH 2 N'S!
I have a cute charm glitch diamond so shiny hunting in the remakes seems soo slow xD
