l’ve been a Protestant my entire life and was baptized as a Lutheran. I’ve gone on mission trips and have been apart of my non denominational church evangelism group for a long time. With that being said last Christmas I was invited to a Christmas Eve Mass by a good friend of mine. I slowly found that everything I was taught about Catholicism was just a false narrative driven by Protestant beliefs. Since then, l’ve been attending Mass almost every Sunday and enjoy the traditions and rituals of the church. I’ve been watching your videos, Bishop Barron and Fr.
Mike on UA-cam. I’m currently reading Rome Sweet Home. I hope to join a Catholic Bible study at the church and will start OCIA this fall.

Isn't it amazing just how Protestants are lied to about Catholics, and they just don't know any better. The narrative for so long has been misinformation and slander and it's really sad that people who claim to follow a God of truth can't do better in their research and in their intellectual honesty. I'm so glad you were able to see it for yourself though versus what people said about it. And I'm so glad that you got to experience the beauty of a Christmas Eve mass. • @MrJoebrooklyn1969
      @MrJoebrooklyn1969 2 місяці тому

@_KJC_ it's a long story but it started with my dissolutionment with Christian infighting and division. Then, I started watching a Pastor called Steven Anderson. He was very controversial but his preaching was very firey and I loved it. He also preached about how we Christian were now the chosen people and he had versus to back it up. When I told my Pastor about him he called him poison. Again, Christians attacking other Christians, I was so tired of it. Then, one day I saw a trailer for a movie about Padre Pio. I loved it but by watching it the UA-cam algorithm began to feed me Catholic apologetics like this channel. For the first time in my life I heard the Catholic position by Catholics. Catholics who actually knew the Bible and knew their faith. Catholic apologetics made so much more sense in light of the Scriptures and when buttressed with the early Church Fathers the evidence became overwhelming. The more I resisted the more I fell in love with the Catholic Church. I began to pray the Rosary everyday. My wife, who is still a Protestant told me to keep praying and not make a decision yet. I kept praying but I couldn't fake it anymore. I wanted to come back. I began to take RCIA with my local Parish and came back to the Catholic Church. I have never been happier. 6 months later my wife and I married in the Catholic Church.

Baptism takes away sins and saves us. Jesus was baptized yet He was sinless. Why so? Because He came into this world to teach us the way to our salvation. He wants us to follow Him and His way or example for us to be saved. If we follow His way/example, we will find the truth. If we find the truth and remain in it until the end, we will find life or eternal life/salvation. That's why Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life."

It doesn’t seem like the kind of text that overrides any other text talking about man’s free will and choice of obedience, like Romans 10. We need to keep in mind the thing Paul wants to argue against the kind of view of free will where a man saves himself by his self-righteousness (in following the mosaic law), when in fact righteousness comes from a gift on God’s part; there remains a free choice to receive his grace through obedience. And God can have a plan for the world that takes into account our free choices

    • @CatholicTruthOfficial
      @CatholicTruthOfficial  Місяць тому

Exactly, true faith, a saving faith, is a working faith that lives itself out in charity and an obedience to God's commandments. Protestants, lutherans and Catholics agree about that. If we are talking about a working faith, faith and works, then we can say that faith alone saves, as opposed to a faith that has no works and doesn't do anything. Sometimes we are saying the same thing but in different ways.

Pope McArthur has to denounce Catholicism
As soon as he admits the manna of the OT and Jesus’s insistence that the Eucharist is his body and blood, it’s game over for Protestantism.
Eucharist by consecrated priests, descendant from the apostles and church founded by Christ. Pope McArthur doesn’t acknowledge the manna Christ left us and told us multiple times in his own words.
    It’s all about the Eucharist.
48- I am the bread of life [John 6:48] 49 Your fathers did eat manna in the desert, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven; that if any man eat of it, he may not die.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. 52 If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give, is my flesh, for the life of the world. 53 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying: How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 54 Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. 55 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day.

      1 Corinthians 11:27-34
"So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.
Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment. Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world."

Let’s put it this way: when you’ve been taught to understand certain things in a certain way, you just don’t see these issues.
You need to understand that there’s a very thick and heavy theology in Calvinism, that intertwining many concepts together, explains away simple things in complex ways.
With me, there were a few things that did it:
      1) Tradition: Protestants don’t accept it as authority, but accept the canon as an authoritative tradition… that was always strange to me. And that dawned on me when Trent Horn pointed that out during a debate with James White. And I saw White had no honest compelling answer to that. That was a “duh” moment for me.
      2) The Pope: Protestants don’t see Peter as the first Pope. But Jesus’ words were always troubling to me: “you are Peter and upon this rock I’ll build my church.” Oh boy, the twisting of scripture I had to go through to explain that away… when the honest reading of the text told me something different.
      3) Our Lady, Queen of heaven: Obviously I was never able to teach Revelation 12 properly. And that bothered me greatly.
      4) Faith and works: as you said, the only way “faith alone” appears in the Bible is in the negative sense. That was annoying to me. Till I decided to be honest.
But I arrived at the Catholic Church FOLLOWING the strictest sense of Sola Scriptura. The Bible alone pointed me to the Church.
But I was willing to question everything I believed just to dig deeper into the truth. Most Protestants choose to think they must not have understood certain things properly yet, and will continue to go back to MacArthur, White and Speoul to understand those things better, rather than looking in the obvious direction the Bible is pointing at.
I started in the Bible alone, and found the Tradition. I started in Faith Alone and saw the biblical richness of the liturgy and the sacraments. I started in the Security of the Believer and ended up “working up my salvation with trembling and fear.” I started with many doubts, and I found Christ in all his fullness at the altar of the Church.
I started as an enemy of the Church, and now that’s the only place I wanna be at.

I’ve posted before. I was raised a Protestant (Baptist) for much of my childhood. I began in the Methodist church but most of my family is Baptist. God has led me to the Catholic Church through several incidences in my life. Protestantism is a fraud, I can honestly say the one thing that convinced me is this. I could not cognitively assign logic to the ways of the Protestant teachings. I began to be agnostic in ways because what I had learned from Christianity made little logical sense to me. What I didn’t realize is it wasn’t God that
wasn’t making sense to me, it was how I was taught about God. Once I looked at the Catholic Church much of my confusion instantly made sense. Without knowing what I was doing, I prayed the way Catholics say to pray, and I ended up ordering a few books that were guesses. They ended up being the great adventure bible and the 14 rules of discernment. During this time I was studying to be a clinical therapist and my school books were about learning to deal with my own childhood trauma. It’s hard to explain but God led me to the Catholic Church while helping me navigate my own pain.
The big giveaway to me that Catholicism is true, is the word grace. Protestants always claimed that Gods Grace was about our wretchedness, that his grace was allowing us a way to heaven. To me this always seemed problematic. I didn’t choose to be here, I have no way around sin, I’m just a human doing my best. But when I learned about purgatory, that you can fail on earth and still have grace, I was instantly blown away and became emotional. God suddenly didn’t look like a Tirant which was the vision j always had of him from the Baptist church, he looked like a loving father that has done everything he can to save us from this world. I hope anyone that is lost in Protestantism looks into these issues more. The Catholic Church is logical. Protestantism is not.

So, I never believed faith alone, even as a Protestant: if sin can send you to hell and knowing to do good and not doing it is sin, then it's obvious that at some point good works of some sort are required for entry into Heaven. However, I do have to say that I had read the Bible completely through dozens of times, and after I began my conversation process, I came across all the verses talking about baptismal regeneration and sacramental reconciliation, and I was so surprised because I had no memory of having read most of those verses before.

I was surprised to learn that a lot of so-called Protestants don't even really believe in the doctrines of classical Protestantism like eternal security and forensic justification. So can you really even call them Protestants at that point? A basic reading of scripture will lead you to conclude that grave sin impacts our relationship and standing before God, so our status and relationship with Him is not a fixed and permanent thing but is dynamic and evolving. Sounds like you realised that from your reading of scripture without looking at it through a Protestant lense.

I am a Protestant and I listen to John Macarthur a lot.
Protestants by and large believe that salvation consists of faith alone, but faith is ALWAYS followed by repentance - a turning away from sin, a hatred for the things that God hates and a love for the things that God loves. Protestants also believe that saving faith includes turning away from the world. All of these things occur because we are new creatures, and we naturally want to be more holy like Christ. Protestants tend to see baptism as something you should do, but is not required for salvation.
I love Catholic brothers and sisters. Most Protestants would too if only they would try and understand what Catholics teach.

@@healhands5760 Jesus also speaks about doing good works.
Good works in sanctifying Grace are necessary for salvation.
      (Nehemiah 13:14) (Psalm 11:7, 28:4) (Isaiah 3:10, 59:18) (Jeremiah 25:14, 50:29) (Ezekiel 9:10, 11:21, 36:19) (Hosea 4:9, 9:15, 12:2) (Sirach 16:12, 14) - we are judged on our deeds.
(Sirach 35:19) (Luke 23:41) (John 3:19-21) (Rom. 8:13) (2 Tim 4:14) (Titus 3:8, 14) (Rev. 22:12) these verses also teach us that we all will be judged by God according to our deeds. There is no distinction between the “saved” and the “unsaved.”
“Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” (1 Cor. 3:15 KJV)
If works are unnecessary for salvation then are our works tested by fire upon judgement? In verse 15 how is a man saved (not just rewarded) through fire by a judgment of his works? He cannot be describing hell, because people are being saved there. He is not describing heaven, because there is imperfection being “burned up”.
“Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?” (Matt. 7:1-3 KJV)
We are not judged just by faith, but actually how we judge others, and we get what we have given. Hence, we are judged according to how we responded to God’s grace during our lives.
“And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.” (Matt. 10:22 KJV)
“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” (Matt. 24:13 KJV)
“And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” (Mark 13:13 KJV)
Jesus taught that we must endure to the very end to be saved. If this is true, then how can anyone believe in the erroneous teaching of “Once saved, always saved?”
If salvation occurred at a specific point in time when we accepted Jesus as personal Lord and Savior, there would be no need to endure to the end. We would already be saved.
“For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.” (Matt. 16:27 KJV)
Jesus says He will repay every man for what he has done (works).
      (Matt. 25:31-46 KJV)
Jesus’ teaching on the separation of the sheep from the goats is based on the works that were done during their lives, not just on their acceptance of Christ as Savior. In fact, this teaching even demonstrates that those who are ultimately saved do not necessarily have to know Christ. Also, we don’t accept Christ; He accepts us. God first makes the decision to accept us before we could ever accept Him.
Matt. 25:40,45 - Jesus says “Whatever you did to the least of my brothers, you did it to Me.” We are judged and our eternal destiny is determined in accordance with our works.
Luke 12:43-48 - these verses teach us that we must act according to the Lord’s will. We are judged based upon what we know and then do, not just upon what we know.
Luke 14:14 - Jesus says we are repaid for the works we have done at the resurrection of the just. Our works lead to salvation.
Rom. 2:6-10, 13 - God will judge every man according to his works. Our salvation depends on how we cooperate with God’s grace.
2 Cor. 5:10 - at the judgment Seat of Christ, we are judged according to what we have done in the body, not how much faith we had.
2 Cor. 9:6 - Paul says that he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully, in connection with God’s judgment.
2 Cor. 11:15 - our end will correspond to our deeds. Our works are necessary to both our justification and salvation.
Gal. 6:7-9 - whatever a man sows, he will reap. Paul warns the Galatians not to grow weary in doing good works, for in due season they will reap (the rewards of eternal life).
Eph. 6:8 - whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same again from the Lord.
Col. 3:24-25 - we will receive due payment according to what we have done. Even so, Catholics recognize that such payment is a free unmerited gift from God borne from His boundless mercy.
1 Tim. 6:18-19 - the rich are to be rich in good deeds so that they may take hold of the life which is life indeed, that is, eternal life.
2 Tim. 4:14 - Alexander the coppersmith did Paul great harm, and Paul says the Lord will requite him for his deeds.
Heb. 6:10 - God is not so unjust as to overlook your work and the love which you showed for His sake. God rewards our works on earth and in heaven.
Heb. 12:14 - without holiness, no one will see the Lord. Holiness requires works of self-denial and charity, and does not come about simply by a profession of faith.
1 Peter 1:17 - God judges us impartially according to our deeds. We participate in applying the grace Jesus won for us at Calvary in our daily lives.
Rev. 2:5 - Jesus tells the Ephesians they have fallen from love they used to have, and orders them to do good works. He is not satisfied with their faith alone. They need to do more than accept Him as personal Lord and Savior.
Rev. 2:10 - Jesus tells the church in Smyrna to be faithful unto death, and He will give them the crown of life. This is the faith of obedience to His commandments.
Rev. 2:19 - Jesus judges the works of the Thyatirans, and despises their tolerance of Jezebel, calling them to repentance.
Rev. 2:23 - Jesus tells us He will give to each of us as our works deserve. He crowns His own gifts by rewarding our good works.
Rev. 2:26 - Jesus says he who conquers and keeps my works until the end will be rewarded in heaven. Jesus thus instructs us to keep his works to the very end. This is not necessary if we are “once saved, always saved.”
Rev. 3:2-5,8,15 - Jesus is judging our works from heaven, and these works bear upon our eternal salvation. If we conquer sin through faith and works, He will not blot our names out of the book of life. This means that works bear upon our salvation. Our “works” do not just deal with level of reward we will receive, but whether we will in fact be saved.
Rev. 3:15 - Jesus says, “I know your works, you are neither cold nor hot. Because you are lukewarm, I will spew you out of my mouth.” Jesus is condemning indifferentism, which is often based on our works.
Rev. 14:13 - we are judged by the Lord by our works - “for their deeds follow them!” Our faith during our life is completed and judged by our works.
Rev. 20:12 - “the dead are judged by what was written in the books, by what they had done.”
Rev. 22:12 - Jesus says, “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense, to repay everyone for what he has done.”
Sirach 16:12,14 - we are judged according to our deeds, and will receive in accordance with our deeds.

If you haven’t before, I suggest you read this, for if you are going to confession then you are truly winning with Christ!
      Quote:
“What distresses souls of good will who are seriously trying to live a spiritual life, is to find themselves falling so many times, despite their continual and sincere resolutions. When they begin a program of asceticism, they are usually very brave and have no doubts concerning their success; but being still inexperienced, and not having yet faced the demands of more advanced virtue, they know nothing of the struggles await them on this way. And herein lies the danger: meeting with new difficulties, they fall; they rise and fall again; again they rise, and shortly after, find themselves prostrate once more until they are, at a certain point, attacked by that most dangerous temptation: to give up the undertaking which henceforth seems impossible. How many souls have fervently begun the ascent of the mount of perfection, but discouraged by their continual falls, have stopped halfway up or even turned back, because they lacked the courage to begin anew every day and every moment.
Humility is needed for the exercise of courage; we must be convinced that in spite of our lofty aspirations, we are fallible men like all the rest. Sacred Scripture affirms that the “just man shall fall seven times and shall rise again” (Prov 24:16); how then, can we, who are not just, pretend never to fall?
The real evil is not so much in falling as in failing to rise. The distinguishing mark of fervent souls, and even of saints is less their lack of faults, than their promptness in rising after each fall. The annoyance felt by so many souls when they see themselves continually falling, is not the fruit of humility but of pride. They are not yet convinced of their own misery and are astonished to experience it so constantly. They rely too much on themselves; and God, who wishes to lead them to the full realization of their nothingness, permits them to fall again and again. In the plan of divine Providence these falls are for the definite purpose of convincing us that we are miserable creatures. If we wish to adhere to the divine plan, we have but one thing to do: to humble ourselves. But if, one the contrary, we become discouraged, and give up what we have begun, we shall be going farther away from our goal, to our very great loss.
But to have the courage to persevere in the struggle, especially when we fall repeatedly-either as a result of our imperfection and frailty, or because God permits it in order to humble us more-we must join to humility an immense confidence in the divine help. Having experienced our own misery we know that we cannot rise relying on our own strength, but there still remains to us a much more powerful resource: trust in the help of God. We shall find the strength to keep beginning again, precisely in trust. God alone can give us this strength, and He will give it in the measure of our confidence: the more trust we have in Him, the stronger we shall be. The more convinced we are that God is calling us to sanctity, and that our personal resources are insufficent for attaining it, so much the more should we be convinced that God will furnish us with the help needed to answer His call. There is nothing illogical in God: if He asks something from us, He cannot refuse us the help needed to give it to Him. Not finding this strength in ourselves, we shall surely find it in Him, in His omnipotent help.
“He that shall persevere unto the end, he shall be saved” (Mt 10:22), said Jesus. He who will persevere unto the end is not he who will never fall, but he who after every fall will humble himself and rise again, relying on the infinite strength of God.”

JM does understand that Paul is talking about the “works of the law of Moses.” JM is not ignorant; he is dishonest. JM is pushing his theology into the texts of Scripture in order to profit from teaching the popular error of “once saved always saved.” He cannot have OSAS without “faith alone.” It is the same with all Reformed teachers. They interpret Scripture through the lens of their “theology.” This is how they are trained in seminary. JM has been financially successful over the years at “marketing” his heretical views for money 💰. I know this sounds unkind. However, if you look at all the facts I believe this conclusion is true. This is why the intellectual dishonesty and the incessant need to have others believe his way is the right way.

Calvinists believe that we don't have free will for this exact reason. It is so messed up. If we are saved by faith alone, then *we* decide whether we are saved or not and Jesus has *no choice* to save us or not - so there comes the predestination doctrine....Jesus *chooses* who will have faith and who won't. So what is faith then?? Nothing, I guess!

As a former Protestant I just believed whatever my pastor preached and didn’t usually bother to research it and just repeated it to others, such as living a “100% sin free” life. Sad how easy it is to mislead others even if you don’t mean to. I got to the point I was done being spoon-fed whatever was served and took it upon myself to crack open books/ listen to what the Bible / Christianity really is about and listen to these YT videos from Brian/Steve Ray/Scott Hahn and was led to the CC. There are numerous vs throughout scripture that debunk Faith alone salvation, OSAS and double Predestination:
John 2:24, : "So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father
1 Peter 4:18, : "And, 'IF it is difficult for the righteous person to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?
    Hebrews 10:26
“For IF we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins” )
1 Cor 15:2 By this gospel you are saved, IF you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
John 15:6 IF you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.
    Rom 2 6
God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.
Matt 24:13 "but the one who stands firm to the end WILL BE saved"
Romans 8 :1 "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus". (There is no condemnation provided you remain in Christ Jesus cf. John 15)

I both admire and resent John MacArthur. I admire him for standing up against the ravages of woke atheism, in stark contrast to our pathetic bunch of alleged bishops who are too gutless to stand up for their faith in the face of persecution. I resent him for what he says about Catholicism, not because he happens to have a different view of Christianity but because, like most preachers of his ilk, he doesn’t bother to check what the Catholic Church officially teaches about Christianity but instead debunks a caricature of Catholicism. Having said all that, he’s evidently a man of faith and of good will and I have no doubt he’ll be judged righteous by his God.

There are 2 kinds of faith.
    1) dead faith or faith alone which does not produce hope, love, obedience and good works
    2) living faith which produces hope, love, obedience and good works, therefore, a living faith is not faith alone.
I realized it's not only protestants who have faith alone or practice faith alone but other catholics also because there are catholics who have only faith in God but don't obey God's commands. These catholics have only dead faith or faith alone. Other protestants don't believe in faith alone and osas. They believe you need to obey God's commandments out of love for Him in order to be saved. These protestants are correct in this area because it is also the doctrine of the Catholic Church and of course, the teaching of the Bible.

    • @CatholicTruthOfficial
      @CatholicTruthOfficial  Місяць тому

Thank you for the comment. In Ephesians 2:8-9, faith alone is _not_ being taught, and good works are _not_ veing condemned. You will notice that Paul makes a distinction between "works" in Ephesians 2:8-9 and "good works" in verse 10. Clearly, works and good works are two different things. Nowhere are good works condemned or are said to be not needed. So you are misusing this passage. There are two different types of works. Paul talks about that are not good works. 1. Works done by our own power that don't mean anything or do anything. 2. Jewish Works of the law. These are the Old Testament rituals, cleansing, and things like circumcision. This is the majority of what Paul condemns when he uses the word works.
Eph. 2:8-9 is talking about works done by our own power. We can't save ourselves. It's all the work and grace of God.
And you will note that he condemns those "works," which are different than the good works which he mentions and we are called to walk in, in verse 10.
The entire New Testament says we need to live out our faith, follow the commandments, be obedient to Christ, bear good fruit, and stay faithful until to the end or we won't be saved (Jn. 14:15, 21-24; Jn. 15:5-7, 10, 14; Mt. 19:15-23, James 2:24; Rom. 17-22; 1 Cor. 6:9-10; Gal. 5:17-22; Jn. 3:5; Heb. 10:26-29; Rev. 2:4-7, 10, 19-26, Mt. 25:31-46).

Faith is paramount to God, because it is from which all else stems. One's obedience and fruit (works) are derived from one's faith alone. I like to separate the works we aren’t justified by ( mosaic law) and works ( charity/love) Matthew 25 talks about how we treated the outcast.

Of great importance is the word grace, which refers to God’s blessings on the undeserving. The very idea of grace negates all attempts to earn salvation. Paul makes that argument when teaching on God’s choosing of the remnant of Israel: “Since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is-free and undeserved” (Romans 11:6, NLT).
Other passages that clearly teach salvation through faith alone include Acts 16:31; Romans 3:28; 4:5; 5:1; Galatians 2:16; 3:24; Ephesians 1:13; and Philippians 3:9.

If we’re going to say that we are saved by works, we must qualify whose works. We are not saved by our own works, however meritorious they are in our own eyes. We are saved solely by the work of Christ on our behalf. His death and His resurrection are the works that save us. We receive our Savior by faith (John 1:12).

We are saved by Faith but if we have real Faith, then we believe that 'The Charity of God has been poured forth into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us' - Romans 5:5.
Catholics believe that Charity is a Gift of God, not something you 'muster up' on your own: actually, this Gift of God is God Himself who dwells in our souls and works through us if we renounce evil and seek only to do His will, which is to do Good.

@@HAL9000-su1mz The toddler analogy is excellent and I use it all the time: that's exactly what it is.
Protestants believe they will go to Heaven just because they were born as Christians through Baptism but that's not how it works.
You actually have to live out your life as a responsible adult!
The good news is that it is GOD who does all the work: all we have to do is give our consent and allow HIm to work through us.
It's not much but it is something and it's all that's required of us...
Thank God, because if we had to 'Move (the) mountains' (of sin), no one would make it to Heaven!

We need to conform always our interpretation of scriptures to the Catholic Church's interpretation so that we will not be led astray and deceived by our enemies (devils and false teachers). The official teaching of the Church/Pope is the correct interpretation of the Word of God. There's no error in the catholic teachings as written in scriptures. (Matthew 16:18, 28:20)
