That actually used to be a thing in the 90s with Ugandan airlines. I remember traveling back to Uganda as a kid and using Ugandan airlines and people clapping. Mind you, it was the only airline I traveled with where people clapped, so me and my sibling used about say that people were afraid of drawing in lake Victoria that's why they always clapped.
It's really a miracle to go up in the skies and land safely even if one has flown a million times. I stand with that man 😂😂😂😂
