- The story of Faridah Simiyu is one of bravery and strength. She witnessed something bizarre at a party and she did the noble thing to report the matter to the police. Not knowing what would follow, she went on with her life until she received a call from an unknown number and the threats started. To add salt to injury, four men showed up in her house in the wee hours of the night and for 3 hours, they took turns to sexually assault her. Faridah recounts that the worst part of her experience was not the assault, but rather how the police handled her case.
