ty for the video Matt. I'm putting one of these on my 62 Ford F100. You just confirm what I had expected, but it's always good for me to see first. Ty and keep up the good, informative videos
great job love that idea i always wanted a pull but didnt know where to start reminds of when i was driving a semi years ago lol loving your videos keep it up.
What's uo man, nice truck. Is any way for u to show me how u attached the pull switch to the pillar? Did u bolt in an angle bracket to screw in the switch?
those switches are at Napa auto parts i cant remember the part number off the top of my head but they are in the store just make sure you call before you get there so they can get their hands on the part
Cole Hersee has discontinued their 9109 momentary pull switch, but Littelfuse still makes them. Same part number even. I was able to buy them from Mouser Electrinocs for about $13 each.
@@DieselLegiance do you happen to have a up close pic of the pull switch mounted? I know you mentioned its up close to headliner. My switch came today so I'm guessing the lead wire and ground are interchangeable?
@@DieselLegiance question Matt? I looked at your wiring video and took a snapshot of your diagram. Now that my kit is here I can better visualize. Pressure switch has 4 wires, black for ground, blue for 12v key power on ( in your diagram this blue wire 18g is going to the compressor switch in the cab that’s corrected to a 12v acc source correct? Red 12V power source wire goes to pin 86 on the relay yes? Or is that the white compressor wire that gives there? Sorry got a little confused and needed clarification. So the compressor red wire goes to pin 86? Your diagram shows two wires from the pressure switch but there’s actually 4 wires. red, white, blue and black. Thanks for your help
So I go with a vixen set up that comes with a horn button and wanted to go with a pull string, one end of the wire would go to the pull switch and the other would go to the solenoid?
Dude, you destroyed your headliner. You could have done this so much cleaner. If anyone is looking to install a set of horns then his instructions are well laid out, just for the love of God please use wire loom and run your wires nice and clean, not like his. Everything single thing I install, doesn't matter what it is ends up looking factory clean.
I actually did go back in afterwards and cleaned everything up. I just left that part out as it’s not very fun to watch and I didn’t want a longer video. Yes, I have a small hole in my headliner but that’s what I was willing to do to create a chain pull. I’m happy with the outcome.
Me being a railroader this is now on my list of things for my truck. This is awesome.
Thanks man that’s awesome. It’s a cool fun mod.
Exactly what I’ve been wanting to do! Great setup and explanation
In depth with great detail + good footage = my like

I plan on throwing a similar configuration into a Subaru Outback. Very nice video.
Love the pull chain! at the 550 mark got to hear it :) looks good nicely done

Fantastic job.

Great video, thank you for walking through this mod!!
I might go a fire engine route with my future truck and mount a floor switch :)
That be cool 👊🏼🚒

Great video
Will this process also work for a 12v train/boat air horn when putting on a truck?
I would think so?
nice, descriptive video. good job

Nice 👍🏼
Great video bro.
awesome job bro, got me thinking about doing this. What did you tap into for your accessory wire that controls the compressor?
I honestly can’t remember lol but I did post a video on how I wired it all up…

Sounds about right. As long as you have the correct momentary pull switch it should work.
@@DieselLegiance good deal, the send a small momentary button to go with the kit,I was hoping to replace it with a pull switch you're describing
Nice 👍🏼 it’s not that hard to do. You got this 👊🏼
I don’t really like this on trucks, but on a semi, this would be epic. I got the shocker 2mc on my 2010 Toyota Tacoma. Anyways, this is awesome!
HONK THAT HORN
Lol...thats awesome!
