@@ONEMoneyONE One Time i was on a profile cause i jacked up my shoulder. And I couldnt run and the Top said Zonk and everyone except me and they tried to make me run and i laughed and and was like, im good. Cant run. Cant do anything beyond walking.
Agreed, that was a PSG that zonked the company (With approval). I spent 8 years with the Infantry... Let's just say, when someone zonked us, there were injuries...lol.
Rules for zonk: 1) there are no rules 2) don't go directly to your room or car that's where they will be looking for detail 3) wait an hour or so in the woods and cautiously return to you room and stay only long enough to change clothes and grab whatever you need for the day 4) stay off-post until the end of the duty day 5) don't do stupid shit with your day off, have fun but don't screw it up for everyone
We did a brigade zonk once at Fort Polk in like 2012 I believe. It was absolute mayhem. We were supposed to do a 4 mile "tower to tower" run before the 4-day weekend. The brigade commander spoke for about 10 minutes to where us in the back couldn't hear. He said, "zonk," and all hell broke loose. The main part of the roads were blocked off for PT. We jumped in our cars. I was the first one due to being in the back of formation. This MP was parked at the stop sign. We did not care. We hit the roads. The MP couldn't give all 1500 of us a ticket. No one stopped for him.
mr paseo Roger that, you don't mess with top, even if he is a leg, LOL (don't take my leg comment to heart, we are all brothers in arms, I am honored to have had the opportunity to serve this great nation and with everyone and every branch of the service, OUT FUCKING STANDING!)
I remember it was me and one of our new guys, keep in mind he never had a zonk before. When it happened I grabbed him by the shoulders and said "Run! Run to your truck and don't look back!"
I expected better smh feel like he shoulda took that zonk back seems like they weren’t too excited about it well I’m sure sergeant could come up with something exciting 😂
Shit, if we reacted that slowly to a zonk, the damn zonk would be cancelled.
That group looks like it needs some PT. Too many fatties. lol
For real I see walkers haha, they should be called out and made to do push-ups to get these soldiers moving faster to their cars nextime.

That was a moneymaker right there
Had my first zonk today, shit was funny as hell.
That one guy at the back was waiting for that word for his whole army career
That wide body in the front row towards the right, walking slowly away was enough to cancel the zonk and instead gear them up for a ruck.
Ah zonk, where all soldiers no matter time in grade or experience knows. RUN LIKE HELL AND DON'T LOOK BACK
Very weak zonk, the reaction time was pathetic.
That was not the 1SG up there, the Commander and 1SG were on the side and the Soldiers were unsure if it was legit...lol.
That's because they're legs!
lol, that's because it was not the 1SG that called it.

No offense taken... and by the way, I was the 1SG and yes, a leg at that...lol

In a 21yr Army career...I've been a part of a FEW zonks...i've seen PVTs knock over officers trying to get up outta there😅😅😅
It would have been hilarious if they had someone slip over to the door and close everybody in there before yelling zonk to watch everybody scramble.
Weak zonk... they all would have been doing pt at an infantry unit... lol.
When first sgt yells zonk in 1-27.. its mayhem.. lol.
mbrishke
3-2 heaven right here buddy
Iraq 08-09

Lucky day for those guys
Idiots were lazy I would had them all come back do sprints to make sure they knew how to and then zonk them again
