Awesome video as always toonz. Little heads-up, when the night time had turned everything blue, it was a full-moon, you can keep track of the moon cycle next to the clock in the top-right corner. The full-moon fills the world with light, allowing you to go out at night 🤘 the game has a little bit of a learning curve to it, but it really is fun, especially when you start getting all of the advanced crafting stuff down. Really hoping you guys play more of this one, maybe even get more people to join ya

Cooking green mushrooms and sleeping in tents give you lots of sanity back. And there is a character named Walter, (I think), that tells campfire stories at the campfire at night only, that give everyone sanity. Plz don't stop playing, it's a great game

I love this game, it's the collab I didn't think I'd ever see. 😭 It's an uncompromising survival game so it IS difficult for new players, but once you've learned the basics it genuinely gets easier. This isn't a one and done game.
I think you would find the game more enjoyable learning some of the controls. Use wasd to move in combat so you can kite out attacks, F to attack hostile ctrl F to attack anything this makes combat enjoyable and not just a slug fest vs your armor hp.

The touchstone revives a person if you are dead just click on it and go over to resurrect yourself. There are a few scattered around the map. Plus a Telltale heart can be crafted to do the same however you need to sacrifice a lot of health to use it though. And the person using the Telltale Heart needs to be alive as well or it’s useless.
I had a similar experience playing this, it feels fun to start but then you just get to a point where you don't know what to do and then sanity is always a problem. Gotta make sure you always have a torch on you at all times tho lol. I'd love to see more content on this though, someone in the group of friends has had to have played this before and would be a better guide right?

Barely scratched the surface and they gave up😩... didnt even get to winter. when my friends and i started winter was impossble to over come. took us atleast a week of restarting and learining how to setting up for winter. then we got to spring and..... the RAIN, sanity was impossible to keep up. Goal for beginers should be to survive atleast a year and how to deal with the seasons and thier bosses. then move to dealing with all the other bosses.

I sincerely hope yall play this game again. Its the kinda game that takes patient and experience to beat, being a survival roguelike that throws a lot at new players from the start. For example, I always use the wiki to look up crockpot recipes-its an extremely useful item for staving off hunger and using up harmful or spoiled foods, but without knowing how to make things, you're likely to get wet gloop. Also, that special head outfit you got, Cartoonz? Goes to a soulless automaton; WX-78 has some clear disadvantages that including having the absolute worst starting stats in the game, but you can quickly start to mod it to have some of the best...or you can replace a bit of stat upgrading with sanity regen, or night vision, an extremely fast walk speed, or other powers. Oh also, what settings did you guys use for the world? The default settings generate a lot of things we didn't see in this video, especially juicy berry bushes-which drop like 4x the number of berries, but go stale (reduced stat restoration for all but one character) much faster.
Its been a long time since ive played but i believe if you hold something like ctrl or alt and click to attack you can swing your weapon without needing to select a target which makes combat easer. At least im pretty sure thats a thing
I LOVE THIS GAME, but it is not new player friendly as its not very descriptive on how it works, lets just say it's an iceburg, there's tons of stuff to find out in the game If you ever want to give it another go (there's lots of cool bosses to fight and plenty of weird jokes) I suggest either heavily investing in some UA-cam guides or finding a friend who knows what's up
Please play this again, I’ve never played but it looks fun . Just reading through the comments will help you guys survive a little more , if you got more of your friends together to play this I think it would be super entertaining
I love this game but I've never got new characters and oh my God toonz character is OP. Teleport away from hits and you can heal a good chunk with the souls too.. that's insane.
The other newer characters are niche in playstyles, being Wurt, Wurly, and Wormwood. Wanda and Wortox aren't as niche being that their downsides dont drastically change the way they play compared to others. Wortox is debated on if hes good or not because of his downsides. If you can manage his sanity hes pretty good.

Don't starve is definitely not an easy game. But it can be very enjoyable after learning the basics of survival.

Yeah, cause he chose to eat that mushroom before cooking it. He lost all sanity becuas green are -50 sanity when not cooked and +15 when it is

You face off against bosses in this game marble armor is great, you can plant marble by turning it into a seed
