@@hattchetman_2128 they were getting attacked so even if they tried building the fire they would have kept getting hit in the back so they panicked it happens when someone is scared they will panic and not think about what needs to be done they just run that’s how it is sometimes
Yeah Kyle kept saying he needed flowers because his sanity was 8 and toonz had like 30 but didn’t care and kept taking them I feel like they ignore Kyle when he tries his best to do everything when they ask him but when he needs something they wait until it’s too late

Awesome video as always toonz. Little heads-up, when the night time had turned everything blue, it was a full-moon, you can keep track of the moon cycle next to the clock in the top-right corner. The full-moon fills the world with light, allowing you to go out at night 🤘 the game has a little bit of a learning curve to it, but it really is fun, especially when you start getting all of the advanced crafting stuff down. Really hoping you guys play more of this one, maybe even get more people to join ya
Don't starve is definitely not an easy game. But it can be very enjoyable after learning the basics of survival.

Cooking green mushrooms and sleeping in tents give you lots of sanity back. And there is a character named Walter, (I think), that tells campfire stories at the campfire at night only, that give everyone sanity. Plz don't stop playing, it's a great game
Yeah, cause he chose to eat that mushroom before cooking it. He lost all sanity becuas green are -50 sanity when not cooked and +15 when it is
I love this game, it's the collab I didn't think I'd ever see. 😭 It's an uncompromising survival game so it IS difficult for new players, but once you've learned the basics it genuinely gets easier. This isn't a one and done game.

In all seriousness, I would love to see you guys play again. This is one of those games that the more you play, the more you fail, and the more you die, the more you learn. You just have to be willing to stick with it a little.
So how wortox works,
Con: he gets less saturation from food
Pro: can collect souls: can consume or drop to heal
Con: Consuming souls makes your sanity go down
Con: is a monster character (some mobs are automatically hostile to you)
Toonz proving he's a Slytherin by taking all the flowers at the end. When he already refilled his sanity to half. Listening to the other yell as they are being attacked cause they have no sanity at all.
really really hope yall keep playing, the content potential for this is INSANE. love this game and love seeing Toonz play it!
I love how Kyle kept saying his sanity was 8 and only found one flower and cartoonz just causally take all the flowers when Kyle said he needed them he literally said no one will say if there is any near.
I think you would find the game more enjoyable learning some of the controls. Use wasd to move in combat so you can kite out attacks, F to attack hostile ctrl F to attack anything this makes combat enjoyable and not just a slug fest vs your armor hp.
I had a similar experience playing this, it feels fun to start but then you just get to a point where you don't know what to do and then sanity is always a problem. Gotta make sure you always have a torch on you at all times tho lol. I'd love to see more content on this though, someone in the group of friends has had to have played this before and would be a better guide right?

The touchstone revives a person if you are dead just click on it and go over to resurrect yourself. There are a few scattered around the map. Plus a Telltale heart can be crafted to do the same however you need to sacrifice a lot of health to use it though. And the person using the Telltale Heart needs to be alive as well or it’s useless.

I do absolutely love this game and i want them to play it again as a severe lack of people do and its an amazing game.
The bickering when they’re all together is so funny, I could watch this for hours.
Barely scratched the surface and they gave up😩... didnt even get to winter. when my friends and i started winter was impossble to over come. took us atleast a week of restarting and learining how to setting up for winter. then we got to spring and..... the RAIN, sanity was impossible to keep up.
Goal for beginers should be to survive atleast a year and how to deal with the seasons and thier bosses. then move to dealing with all the other bosses.

Cartoonz....you are one of my favorite UA-camrs! I watch your vids religiously! I've never made a request before, but if you see this, it would be DOPE if you would try the survival game Valheim with Squirrel, Kyle, and Jihi. It's a super fun survival game and I think you'll like it quite a bit. If y'all like it, I know a chill community server to play on.
I sincerely hope yall play this game again. Its the kinda game that takes patient and experience to beat, being a survival roguelike that throws a lot at new players from the start. For example, I always use the wiki to look up crockpot recipes-its an extremely useful item for staving off hunger and using up harmful or spoiled foods, but without knowing how to make things, you're likely to get wet gloop. Also, that special head outfit you got, Cartoonz? Goes to a soulless automaton; WX-78 has some clear disadvantages that including having the absolute worst starting stats in the game, but you can quickly start to mod it to have some of the best...or you can replace a bit of stat upgrading with sanity regen, or night vision, an extremely fast walk speed, or other powers.
Oh also, what settings did you guys use for the world? The default settings generate a lot of things we didn't see in this video, especially juicy berry bushes-which drop like 4x the number of berries, but go stale (reduced stat restoration for all but one character) much faster.

It just so happens that Wortox actually absorbed the DST's version of the Grinch, Krampus.
Beefalo falls asleep, Squirrel "Prank'em."
Wortox ability to eat and use soul is handy but killing too much will get your naughty meter high and will spawn Krampus which steals your stuff

He dared too say it was not hard far to early and far too confidently. (granted bigger issue it seemed they just forgot too get a fire available at all times).
Its been a long time since ive played but i believe if you hold something like ctrl or alt and click to attack you can swing your weapon without needing to select a target which makes combat easer. At least im pretty sure thats a thing

You have to wear the flower crown for it to help, and it might not be enough to keep your sanity from falling at least a little at night.
I think these guys need one of the resurrection mods to help learn the game. I think there's one that lets you revive at a campfire with no debuffs. It's a difficult game but it's still fun to watch the whacky "campaigns." Especially with these people... O-o

I love this game but I've never got new characters and oh my God toonz character is OP. Teleport away from hits and you can heal a good chunk with the souls too.. that's insane.
You also gotta eat the souls new update dropped you can also tp via map
The other newer characters are niche in playstyles, being Wurt, Wurly, and Wormwood.
Wanda and Wortox aren't as niche being that their downsides dont drastically change the way they play compared to others.
Wortox is debated on if hes good or not because of his downsides. If you can manage his sanity hes pretty good.
Please play this again, I’ve never played but it looks fun . Just reading through the comments will help you guys survive a little more , if you got more of your friends together to play this I think it would be super entertaining

I LOVE THIS GAME, but it is not new player friendly as its not very descriptive on how it works, lets just say it's an iceburg, there's tons of stuff to find out in the game
If you ever want to give it another go (there's lots of cool bosses to fight and plenty of weird jokes) I suggest either heavily investing in some UA-cam guides or finding a friend who knows what's up

You can plant butterfly's wings and it should grow flowers, and if you find a statue of a big fly creature go to it on a full moon and pick the flower it grows, it gives you a companion that has a sanity gain arua

If you want to survive, starting a garden is definitely the way to go.
And when you fight bosses, you could use frogs to your advantage (for starters)
