Been cooking fried chicien since middle school lol always get hyped making fried chicken, always preferred mustard compared to egg/buttermilk bc it clump too much. Thanks for the recipe guy!
This was the last meal I had with my grandpa may he rest in peace we were at his friends house with my dad we showed up and out of a sudden we fired up the grill and cooked up mustard chicken that was the first time I've tried them 😋 definitely going to try my hand at this some time
My eyes were captivated by your Chanel post ‼ It was well worth watching, and in the end, it gave me a sense of preparedness and compelled me to try it.❗ We wish you all the best from a thousand miles away.
Good afternoon 6:35 PM September 10, 2022 I’m just looking at your video with your fried chicken first thing I want to say a very good I’ll give you a big big thumbs up for washing your chicken with lemon on the way you washed it a lot of people don’t wash the chicken because they don’t think they need to but I’m looking at your video and I have to say a big 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 And thank you for sharing
Do you think smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, seasoning salt with creole mustard would taste good together? Also, how long should I cook thighs (I don’t remember if the have bone in or not- I got them from Walmart)? Should I pop them in the oven after frying (if so, for how long and what temp?)? Sorry for all the questions!😁 Thank you so much for the help! 🥰🙏God bless and keep you.
Hi, I think that sounds good as far as seasonings! If you have bone-in thighs, I would probably fry for 15-20 min on medium high heat so you don’t burn the outside before the inside is finished cooking. If they’re boneless thighs, you can reduce the cooking time by 5 or so minutes. And yes, whenever you’re not sure whether your chicken is cooked through, definitely pop it in a preheated oven on 350-375 for 10-15 min or until the internal temp is at least 165 F! No problem on the questions! Hope this helps you out!
@@HOMECOOKHERO That definitely helps, thank you so much! Really looking forward to making these now. I’ll come back and let you know how they turned out later this week. 🥰
Hey there, welcome! Nope you don’t taste the mustard at all! It really only helps to bind the flour and adds a bit of flavor but otherwise you don’t taste it much.
I'am going to just have to break down AND DO IT! 1 day. Sacrifice some mustard i use for chili dogs YUM > Please do a test taste > IT REALLY HELPS OUT THE FANS ! on what your biting into and flavors Plus the texture on the food
🤣 I STILL HAVEN'T tried mustard on my chicken. I know its good.. I like my hot wing style fried chicken> I can't get away from it! As close as i can get to POPEYES Cajun Chicken YUM
How do u get it to stick, Ive tried everything and it comes Off unless I double dip the flour. Most dont hold like some of ur pieces. But urs look so yummy going to try a few like urs and mine Thank You
Hey there, my main tricks are to ensure the chicken is completely dry before seasoning and to use mustard or some other binder (like buttermilk) to get the flour to stick to it. Hope this helps!
I know right! I was still learning my audio levels back when I recorded this video. I’ve definitely honed my skills in my recent videos if you’re interested! Thanks for the comment and for watching! 💪🏾
I wish y'all would stop showing these videos with mustard, every time you add mustard it burns the oil, which burns the chicken. I have been attempting to add mustard many a times to my wings for a kick, but the oil burns every time. This is crazy that y'all make these videos; I have been cooking chicken forever, but since I left Cleve 14 plus years ago, no oil I purchase will allow me to fry wings with a wet seasoning to it, at all... you guys must be using magic oil!
You caught me: it was 3 weeks out of date and I left it in the sun overnight 😂😂! Just kidding! Chicken is definitely sometimes sort of slimy and water alone won’t do the trick… For me! But to each their own! Thanks for watching and commenting! 💪🏾💪🏾
What’s up, everybody?!! Thanks so much for watching! What other recipes do you wanna see me make?

This recipe also works well for frying fish but, add some Louisiana hot sauce! I think I’ll do some fried chicken today, thanks for the video.
I love Louisiana hot sauce too! And I agree on using this preparation for fish.

You can’t cook if u burning the grease !
After rubbing your chicken with the wet seasoning dunk it in the dry seasoning then let the chicken sit so the flour can absorb the wet
Are you using too much mustard? I don’t cook a lot but even I don’t burn the oil.
You must be doing something wrong because my grease doesn’t burn chicken taste amazing every time
You guys???? 😂😂😂 you gotta let it sit brotha
Chicken doesn't have to be washed, what country do do you live in? US and Canada, never wash chicke, it is totally clean and air dried at the factory.
