For the 'voice over vs music' debate... Your channel, your choice. But.... Mixing in a voice over to explain what's going on in specific situations is cool. I liked the explanation about the oil pump 'pre lube'. But again, do what you have time for, we'll be here for you.

Yes, put on the lite parts and as for the Timelapse the music is good and even better when you add some narrative at key points in the video. A mix of both is a great way to go in my book 😁🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️

Do a blend of music and voice over. I like the voice over because you explain things while they are going on.
Voiceovers during the Timelapse sequences are a huge improvement for me because without commentary the time lapses are a waste of time. I am here for the details. 😊

voice overs nice especially if it's helping explain something you're specifically looking at/doing but definitely don't have to do it with every time lapse if it helps cut down editing time for ya.

Little bit of a hiccup on the reassembly, but thankfully not a major issue! Always an incredibly professional execution. One of my favorite racecars. Can't wait to see it shred!

The step between the old intake ports and the heads would have been the killer - the pressure loss from sharp cross-section changes is usually much much worse for fluid flow than a slightly smaller section is, just because of all the turbulence.
I love the voice overs explaining what`s going on. I`ve learned so much here. Oh, BTW, SoccerMom is my favorite car, and Clay pilots my favorite Top Fuel dragster. Thanks for taking us along on everything Kevin. At a NHRA event, nothing beats the drum roll you feel in your chest when Clay stomps on that loud pedal. Clay has a good team, and so do you and Will. Best part is @27:02, SOCCERMOM LIVES!!! Can`t wait to see her fly down the track again!! Let`s not forget The Cutlass and the great video series that is. Outstanding work KSR TEAM.

Your voice overs are great when you're doing multiple things (Like assembling an engine).
Love your music over's too, as it doesn't distract from the work and competence your showing like on your chassis welding.

The voice over is great when you're doing something technical. And the music is great when it's busy work!

I appreciate the voice over. But I also appreciate the videos often!
Priming the oil pump.
There are a couple of ways that don't involve pulling the distributor and will work with a crank driven oil pump.
Wet sump. Disconnect the oil pressure sender and run a hose to a can. Pull the spark plugs, seal off breathers , pump 5 PSI air into the crankcase then crank the engine. This will get oil to the pump. Don't use too much pressure at there is a chance you can push out a crank seal. Steve Brule at Westech just pumps air into the crankcase however, this relies on the volume of air contained in the oil filter to be the expansion point past the oil pump. If the filter is full, this procedure won't work.
Dry sump. Pull the spark plugs. Make sure a crank case breather is open to atmosphere, pump 5 to 10 PSI air into the dry sump tank vent , crank the engine.

I like the voice over videos, i don't really care for hearing the same music all the time. So AWESOME Soccer Mom's back, i can't wait to see whats next! Love the Olds videos too, i had a '79 tripple pea green! Lol, ugly as hell, but my Dad's always had 70's Olds' around, so a bunch went into mine! A totaled 70 442 my Dad bought donated the 455, and i drove it everywhere! I should've kept it, the kid that bought it, wrapped it around a tree! We did manage to get the 455 back, the ONLY thing we could save from it!
I like to voiceovers you almost always are explaining something I had no clue as to why your doing them but if the voiceover means less video content because of time and energy it takes to produce then Timelapse is the way to go. I Love the content and have much respect for the work you do and the life you lead in business and family.

You know some Vaseline in pickup tube will make it pick oil up way faster to help prime the engine. Put it in oil tube right before pump.
Do all the fiberglass for sure. Love the voice over during the time lapse but if it takes alot more time for you it cant make it simple. But I'm a car person and understand most of what your doing. I get that the people that don't understand would want the explanation. Either way keep up the great work kevin 👍

We used to have pinup girl pictures in the locker room where I worked. We then got a female supervisor who immediately instituted sensitivity training and all of that had to come down. What a beach.

Since you asked, here's honest feedback from someone that has watched all your content. I enjoy the time lapse with voice over, music is fine. The thing that makes me abort is when your monologuing to the camera, especially making excuses for whatever (not posting, etc.). You have no obligation to make videos, I have no obligation to watch them. That's the relationship.

I think the voice over is great. I don't know exactly how much of a pain it is, but I'd imagine it's probably worth it for how much better it makes the time lapse.

Great video Kevin! I like your voice-over, but you do whatever is easiest for you, because the timelapse music is fine as well. Glad the valve escaped any damage and glad that Eddie convinced you to use the compression gauge. He saved you a bunch of unnecessary time and heartache!

I love this car! It always reminds me of my mom’s 1978 with T tops and a 305. She drove that when I was a soccer kid in the early 90s. So she was a soccer mom with a Camaro! I would love to know if there is a story to the name of the car.
Also when you do the time lapse with the music and voice over my cat loves it too!
