Without a doubt the most unique AC/DC song to me. The slow, bluesy feel to it with Bon’s lyrics and vocals make me think he’s talking about himself. Rip Bon, ride on.
Bon Scott was such an incredible songwriter, and I love how he portrays the emotion with the poetic songwriting here, a very beautiful masterpiece from the band. Long live Bon Scott, Malcolm, Angus, Phil, and Cliff (And Mark!)
RIP, Bon Scott. I fell in love with AC/DC back when I was 14 and screaming "I GOT BIG BALLS!" around the house, and Mom went crazy. It was this album that did it for me. EVERY song on "Dirty Deeds" was a hit to me. It solidified AC/DC. It put them on top and they've never looked back. Ride on. And just keep riding.
@@lexluthor6497 There are a few other albums I turn to like "Fly on the Wall", "Blow Up Your Video", "Back in Black" and "Highway to Hell", but yah, "Dirty Deeds" was my intro to them, and just like when we get a kiss, we never forget the first. :D
Ha! I was in 4th grade when that song came out and I would play the tape over n over. My dad was a songwriter, and heard what I didn’t ….amd decades later he would always say that of all the band I liked this was one the one he hated. With age, I’ve realized it freaked him out to have his 9yo daughter rock out to a song about big balls…🤣🤣🤣🤣🫣

"Squealer" (She said she'd never been balled before / and i don't think she'll ever ball no more) especially was a little risque, so I hid it from my mom and sang, "Never had BOWLED before" so it was more of a bowling date. 😂🤣😂🤣 AC/DC is the kind of rock band you listen to and want to cringe to the lyrics, but the music is so damned GOOD. :D

This is the greatest AC/DC song of all time hands down. Pure bliss & Blues from start to finish from Angus & Bon. A true collective triumph from the whole band. Nothing beats these guys!! ❤
Angus is one of the finest blues guitarists ever and he's rarely acknowledged as a blues guitarist. Sure, everyone knows AC/DC is a blues-based rock n roll band, but damn Angus has a talent for putting soul into his solos. They always compliment the song and they're not just an exercise in self-indulgence like a Van Halen solo. I bet Stevie Ray Vaughan himself would've appreciated this song.
Angus is brilliant. He said they made the same album.. however many times. Do what you are best at and make it better. You never hear AC/DC and say .. who is that? What kind of music is it? AC/DC .. What genre? AC/DC .. Simple and precise .. Still miss Bon but Brian filled in well. They all knew each other and the band has been in good hands even while Axl Rose joined in for a bit .. Amazing how life goes along .. "Ride On" ...

Bike shaking under me. Catching another up shift. All my brothers and sisters gone on before me. Ride with me now. Wind in my face. Music in my ears. Bon and Malcolm. Ride on.
This is my favorite AC/DC song. I got a Dear John letter when I was in the Army stationed at Schofield Barracks 25th Infantry Division (Light) 65th Eng.Bn. I got drunk and passed out in my room with this on repeat blasting. I still love this song and I have no clue what ever happened to her. I don't even remember her whole name lol.
Highway To Hell talked about the life of a legendary rockstar on the road touring whereas ride on poetically and beautifully talks about how being on the road touring has effected the legendary rockstar's that's singing life. Ride on is a prime example of why Bon Scott is my idol because when he's singing I feel every word he's singing and I fell his pain and it makes me cry a little. No other singer has made me feel their emotions through their music other than Bon Scott and that's why he's my favorite frontman of all-time and the greatest frontman in rock history.

Try to get back to the start
And it's another red light nightmare

And I ain't too old to hurry
Cause I ain't too old to die

Wow! What a song? As blue as it gets...healing blues!!!
Angus has such awesome vibrato when he plays his solos. My favorite player as far as influence along with Paul Kossoff.
Such a peaceful rock song!!!
Not many people know this song....when I play it.. people don't notice it's acdc...n they get their minds blown when I tell em..
If AC/DC's discography is a long wild party, this song is the cold, misty morning after.

Bon Scott was a Rock we love him! Regards from Vienna, Austria
I agree - somebody that comes close is Dan mccafferty!
