Though this was recorded a long time ago, this is the first time I have heard self esteem acknowledged as a serious issue that it is. For those of us outside many gay people often seem highly disturbed and perhaps in need of treatment if they can't reconcile themselves with how they are. Many years ago on the issue of gay marriage a series of articles in our state's largest newspaper changed my thinking on what I had been led to believe about gay people. Perhaps you are no longer recording content, but you should keep it up or have a successor carry on your themes.
I think there is a lot of related issues to self-esteem such as depression, anxiety and so on. The best two bits of advice I ever heard was 1) treat yourself as you would treat your most valued friend and 2) don't worry about what others might think because they probably have other things on their mind such as worrying about themselves and what's happening in their world.
I watched this video and felt emotional because I think i'm just wasting my life trying to get to the point where I believe Im attractive. I took some photos of myself today and looked at them and immediately deleted them because I just look horrific. Im actually a really nice kind and caring guy and people seem to like me but I hate my appearance. Im 50 and have only one photo of myself...
Hey Marc thank you for making this video. We all suffer at one time or another with self esteem issues, but hopefully everyone out there decides to not let that hold you back and to keep your head held up high and not stress about the little things. Happy Holidays everyone!! :-)
Love you videos Marc, you show so much love through these videos and lots of good advice. I myself have severe problems witjlh my self-esteem and my appearance. My first time coming out to other gay men was not good,any of them called me ugly to my face and told me I did not belong. They all say that I would pretty much have to haVe your kind of body if I am ever going to find love and self acceptance. It is hard because in coming out I lost all my friends too so my life is not in an area where I want to be. In my mind I was already a pretty bad critic of me but after all I have experienced, I personally feel that if the gay community were a family I would be the retarded secret that they keep in the basement. That is how I feel, I am still young being 21 but it seems like I am not what guys are looking for.

I was about to say. Don't even think of saying you ever look in the mirror and feel you look bad. Way too hot. I've personally just given up on trying have some good self-esteem. I'm confidant in how amazing other people are. But I can't think the same of myself. But I don't let it waste my time. Does that mean I do have good self-esteem?
