I’ll tell you John, you do a fantastic job of keeping people like me informed about sales, prices & whom! Really like the breakdown of the 1950’s, 60’s & 70’s PSA cards. Thank you, Patrick
Pretty fascinating lists. I’m going for a 56 Mantle as my big card for the year but will be well shy of any top ten list item lol. The Post cards & the Heidemann card are ridiculous & made me audibly say Wow. Great stuff as always John. Have a great week my friend.
Thanks Doug. Yeah, those Post cereal cards are crazy. Someone must be working on a high-end graded set. But that's a lot of money to spend on two common cards.
The Heidemann sale price is hard to wrap my head around. That is some serious behind the scene collector there! Loved that 1975 Willie Stargell. Awesome card. Thanks for sharing John!
Thanks. Same here! So many vintage hall of fame cards I could buy with that money. Not only was I a little surprised at the price for that Stargell, but I was shocked that the all-time sales price for a 10 was over $50,000!
Thanks for sharing, John. Nice variety of cards. The definite surprises were the Jim Landis, Roy Sievers and Mickey Mantle checklist card from the 1960’s and the Jack Heidemann card from the 1970’s. As you said due to the rarity of PSA 10’s.
enjoy these videos as usual since I will never be able to afford most if not all of these cards absent a lotto win. Was happy to see a few higher grade Hank Aarons on here but I’m enjoying collecting my lower grade for the player Ron, as i just picked up a 56 and 58 in RAW/super low grade.
Thanks James. I don't think that even if I had the money that I would want/need those cards in those high grades. Some of them just don't look right in near perfect condition given how old they are. To me, cards that old (especially ones from the 50s) should have some wear to them. Not look like they were just opened from a pack yesterday.
Probably a rare case where the sales in the 1970's were actually higher than 1960's. Very interesting. Lot of people willing to pay that 10 tax it looked like.
Yes, you don't see it that often. Those people definitely play in a much larger playground than I do! I have no interest in PSA 10 vintage cards even if I had the money. I don't need a "perfect" card in my collection.
71T Heideman not even a high # which is mind blowing. My man Reggie got on the scoreboard! John, good thing you got your 69T Yaz! Lol...Crazy on the jello boxes. I do have the Sievers though, ungraded. Take care.
nice Ernie Banks,1954 Mantle 1953 and 1956 Clemente !!!! nice 1969 Yaz , surprised that 1968 Mantle was in first place, as much as music was better in 1967, 1968 and on ward the 1967 Mantle is a newer card for him I think the 63 Clemente is a better card nice 1963 Rose , Ryan and Koosman so when it comes to cards we don't see often which card do you like better the 1953 Topps Mays? 1963 Clemente? 1971 Jack Heidemann/ 1977 Mr. October? first the grade as it is in 1953 Mays in a 6? 1963 Clemente in a 8.5? 1971 Jack Heidmann in a 10 , 1977 Mr. October in a 10? as always ties are very permited ? now which card do you like better that we don't see often in player grades 1953 Mays in a 5? 1963 Clemente in a 6? 1971/ Heidmann in a 7 and Mr. October in a 7? it's hard to pick yes ties are permited? when it comes to sheer beauty which cards do you like better? the 1954 Ernie Banks? the 1956 Clemente 1962 Maris , 1963 Clemente? 1975 Brett , the 1970 Clemente? certainly looking at the colors the 2 pictures of them like the 56 Clemente the classic ball parks with Shea like the 70 Clemente stick out what cards do you find the most beautiful of these as always ties are very permited?
Mickey Mantle cards, regardless of the year, sell for more than Clemente cards because more collectors want Mantle cards over Clemente cards. 1. Of the 4 you listed hands down I like the 53 Topps Mantle the best. 2. Of the 4 you listed, I would take the 53 Topps Mays regardless of the grade. 3. Again, of the 4 you listed, I would take the 53 Topps Mays. 4. Of the 6 you listed, that's a little harder. I like the 54 Topps Banks and 56 Clemente the best. Between those two I'd probably choose the 54 Topps Banks.
@@WadeBoggsFan 1. in the grade you have for the video because there 10's and there 70's not 90's I would take Mr. October and Jack Heidlman over Mays and Clemente. , although a 6 for a 1953 is nice just not the nicest looking card and an 8.5 for a 1963 isn't bad but 10's are perfect that's why I go with the 70's but very tough. 2. between a 6 for Clemente and a 7 for the other 2 very hard to say I guess maybe the Clemente in the player grades. 3. I think we have a tie for sheer beauty I like the 2 cards from the 50's and the 2 from the 70's.

Thanks Patrick! I really appreciate it!
Hi John. Certainly those 2 post cards were surprises. Thanks for sharing my friend.
Thanks Stephen. I was surprised as well when I saw them on the eBay list. I almost missed them as I didn't pick up what they were initially.
John, I appreciate the time and attention you give to these. It's a real service to the vintage card community.
Thank you! I'm glad people find it helpful and interesting. They are fun to do.

Probably! 😃

Thanks Kevin. Yeah, it always amazes me how much some collectors will pay for PSA 10 vintage cards, and in many cases, of common players.
Enjoyed your video , well done. Curious , Where did you get the comps that were not in the VCP database ? 16:22
Thank you. I still quote the average price from VCP. I note if that particular sale was not part of the card prices used to calculate the average.
Great stuff as always John! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Dave!
Awesome video buddy 👍 Glad l was there 😂😂😂
Thanks!
Awesome list, thanks for sharing

Yeah, like I said, there were a few head scratchers on this month's lists. I'm quite happy with my 69 Yaz in a PSA 7. 😃

nice 1963 Rose , Ryan and Koosman
so when it comes to cards we don't see often which card do you like better
the 1953 Topps Mays?
1963 Clemente?
1971 Jack Heidemann/ 1977 Mr. October?
first the grade as it is in

1971 Jack Heidmann in a 10 , 1977 Mr. October in a 10?
as always ties are very permited ?
now which card do you like better that we don't see often in player grades
1953 Mays in a 5?
1963 Clemente in a 6?
1971/ Heidmann in a 7 and Mr. October in a 7?
it's hard to pick yes ties are permited?
when it comes to sheer beauty which cards do you like better?
