Thank you Tory, this is brilliant! How would one go about to transition from under one over one to double strand under two over two. Im not sure how to bring in the second strand?
It sounds like you're referring to a shift from single diamonds to double diamonds; which is a transition I actually do for the Eco Indy whips. The second strand was a killer for me as well, and what I found I really like is making the "last two" end in u1o1 just like "last one". I had to try a few different sequences before I landed on that, try it and see if that guides the rest of your transitional steps
Swordguy Builds nope, I actually commented a week or two ago so the video came right on time. I just finished up the final belly of my whip and tied the strands on for my overlay. Would you mind if I emailed you a picture of the finished whip just to get your opinion? Areas that look like they could be improved upon and stuff like that.
Dude! Your videos are awesome. Any advice on keeping the plaiting straight? I've tried every technique I can find tutorials on and always end up fighting this gradual spiral. Thanx again!!
Thank you very much my friend, I'm glad you get something outta the channel! I would say first to work as quickly as possible, that'll minimize displacement of your weave from your hands shifting around. Also be super aware of the directionality of your pulling. I find that my left hand always wants to pull more toward my body and my right hand always pulls more to the right, and that sorta stuff will sabotage your seams. Although if you wax, you have that one last opportunity to fine-tune your lines and glue them into alignment
I love you. Im coming back to this video again soon.
This is a really great video, thank you for explaining it! I’d love to see more videos on fancy plaiting.
best explanation I've seen so far thanks!
Thank you for the advice. I'm starting the overly on an 8' bullwhip tomorrow. It will be my first attempt at a striped pattern, wish me luck!
Thank you
