I like the song but I don't think it should have been on Nevermind imo. In terms of Album pacing I think Something in the Way being a quiet and eerie end to the loud sound of Nevermind, made it one of their best songs.

I have an unhealthy obsession with this band, so be prepared for an essay ^^ 10.) Scentless Apprentice => Most people say it's shit, but I love how aggressive it sounds and the drum/guitar riff is awesome! 9.) Pennyroyal Tea => Uses normal minor and major chords in the verses, which makes it different from most of their other songs. 8.) Sappy => Awesome melody, awesome solo and I LOVE the way it suddenly gets quiet in the last verse! 7.) Dumb => I love the lyrics, so sarcastic (At least the way I understand them) 6.) Lithium => Every time the chorus kicks in, it makes me jump :D 5.) Smells Like Teen Spirit => Overrated, but still a very good composition! 4.) You Know You're Right => So emotional! You can hear the pain in Kurt's voice :,( 3.) All Apologies (Not the unplugged version ) => The ending with the heavy distortion and feedback while still remaining calm, I love it! 2.) Come as You Are => That "Memoria" Part...I dunno why, but it makes me so nostalgic for the 90s... 1.) Heart-Shaped Box => Sounds so dark and depressing in the verses, and the chorus is so intense! The best part is when it goes quiet after the solo. I would also include Do Re Mi...but sadly, it never got recorded. But judging from its beautiful chord progression and melody, it would probably be my number 3 or 4. The same goes for Old Age :(

9.) Pennyroyal Tea => Uses normal minor and major chords in the verses, which makes it different from most of their other songs.
8.) Sappy => Awesome melody, awesome solo and I LOVE the way it suddenly gets quiet in the last verse!

At ten years old, that was the first song I ever heard from Nirvana, and so it will always hold a special place in my heart. It DOESN'T mean I'm under-educated or a sheep, it's just my opinion. And for all the people saying 'Kurt hated it so I hate it' - get some originality. HE didn't base his opinions on what others thought and neither should you, it's irresponsible.
