Love my MX keys, I just wish they'd create a non-Mac version of it. You can either buy Mac version, or Windows+Mac version where a lot of keys have two sets of symbols printed on them. No idea why they chose to do this, I would have thought a non-Mac version would be a far bigger market
I have added to my mx keys a simple metal (Baseus Laptop Stand Silver) you can seek similar ones, glue it with bluetack to have it higher, and adding 2 feet in front (like the typical feet from microsoft keyboads). This improves the typing experience A LOT. Stock its too low and not very comportable for the hands. 100$ is fair price for logitech and wireless keyboard with lighting.
I purchased one for my kid, the Mac version. I liked it so much, I got one for me. Granted it is not as satisfying to type on as my DAS mechanical keyboard it certainly bests the Apple offerings. Plus it has some great features I have not seen anywhere else!
I just bought the Mac version and got the MX Vertical Mouse to go with it due to my large hands. I love them both. The key action on the keyboard reminds me of the old PC keyboards. A pleasure to type.
I can't think of any poweruser that would like to have keypad removed. then again they've already fucked up with function keys which alone renders this useless for powerusers. Very flawed product.
This Keyboard does not have a PrintScreen Button. That Button does not fire PrtScn, it fires Win + Shift + S. Although its possible to rebind this Key, but you need to install Logitech Options on every Machine you plan to use the Keyboard and configure it, otherwise it won't work.
Is there a way to replace retailer clip of the keys? So, I tried removing the clip from a key I never use, but I don't think it's possible to remove it without breaking it.
If they made one with a longer key travel and a more adjustable angle, I'd be interested. I'm a dev so having a comfortable KB \ Mouse combo is a must. I've got the Mx 2 mouse and love it.
I was wondering does the keyboard go to sleep? My current keyboard is Bluetooth and goes to sleep after 10 min, it takes 3 seconds to wake, so I am constantly having to go back and correct the first couple of words that got missed.
It would be best if it had the usual grouped function keys. Like on a standard full-size keyboard. Programmers use the function keys every time and I personally find them impossible to work with because they are not grouped. Because I use 4 different compilers with different function key values.
I dont mind the function keys not being grouped personally, but the ESC key is so wide that F1 ends up above the 2 key, and F2 above 3 etc. It drives drives me crazy :/
Why does your enter key look different from the on screen enter key? they \ key goes over the enter key on the on screen view (mine has this layout), where as your keyboard has a long vertical enter key that moves the \ to the home key row.
IMO the keys are too close to each other, it's not practical. Maybe because I was used to the Logitech K800 which is much bigger (and much lighter!!). I like the key sound though, just like a laptop and the fact that I can use this with my phone and tablet by just tapping 1 button.
Does this have lag for games? With other words, what is the latency ms for this keyboard.. at the moment i have "surface keyboard" which uses bluetooth and i can feel som delay some times when playing games. Do you think "mx keys" is faster since it have a receiver?
I bought it 2 months ago, and i can confirm that this keyboard has no lag whatsoever playing games. I really love this keyboard more than mechanical keyboards.
It works fantastic in games, way better than most of my other gaming keyboards, better than the Asus I have. Feels better than mechanical keyboards I have tried.
Where, I don't see it anywhere? Since it doesn't come with its own power brick, It can hardly have a quick charge option as it's limited to a regular amount of current from a USB port on your PC / laptop (unless it's a high-powered one, but I don't know if this keyboard can take advantage of it)
Thanks for the review! Official MX Keys page says (www.logitech.com/en-us/product/mx-keys-wireless-keyboard) "Caps Lock and Battery indicator lights" ,where is the Caps Lock indicator?
I'm curios about how Logitech choose the keyboard layouts and why they don't do a Portuguese layout (there are 228 milion people in the world that have Portuguese as native language). For comparison they are selling the MX keys with those layouts: Russian 150 milion; German - 90 million ; Italian - 90 milion; French - 76.8 million; Danish/Norwegian/Swedish 24 milion.
I didn’t know Logitech made a version of this keyboard with an ISO layout (tall flipped L shaped enter key), where can I get one? I dislike ANSI layout on keyboards most keyboards sold these days.
The most annoying this about this keyboard is that they got rid of the Pause/Break key! As a coder, this is annoying! Otherwise it's an awesome keyboard!
Whats more annoying to me, is that they got rid of PrtScn as well. Pause/Break should work with Fn + B, but for PrtScn i have no solution... (no i cannot install Logi Options)
@@rjprmr yes, that would work, but i cannot map, because i cannot install Logi Options. So it stays the same, there is no PrtSrn Button anymore, at least on windows.
I'm noticing the your mx keys and the one I bought about a week ago have one difference. Your enter key is way bigger than the enter key on mine. I wonder why?
Logitech needs to be like Apple and make products out of metal no buy. There is so much that can be added and done better with this keyboard. They should add quick charge and a pop out wireless charge pad for the mouse, easily programmable macro keys. Just because people can’t afford nice things doesn’t mean others like me should be screwed out of something that could be really awesome.

Keyboard sucks, keep dimming back. So if you are coding at night you can't type right way, you need to hover you hand to activate backlighting. Also it doesn't remember the level of brightness you set up. Really bad and annoying, 14 months later and still no fix!!!
I was banging away on the Space key just so you can hear it how it sounds because it always resonates differently than other keys (and Enter too for example). I actually did a test of my typing speed, someone asked me in the comments of this video, it was 78 WPM (321 CPM and 96% accuracy), and I'm pretty OK with that as of now! 😊
The DJ dial is goneeeeeeeee!! So is the 100$ off the price tag 😁
I got one this week and have been using it for gaming as well as coding and I have to say I prefer this soo much compared to a mechanical keyboard.
I also find it very soothing for typing
Love my MX keys, I just wish they'd create a non-Mac version of it.

Loving this keyboard. Had it a few months now but noticed the space bar now squeaks when pressed from either side. In the centre it's fine.
Try spraying a bit of silicone grease into the key. works great for noisy/grinding fan bearings too.

Why not get a mechanical keyboard instead
Now they just need to remove the number pad and I will buy it. Something similar to the size of a Magic keyboard would be great.
Nooooo..... if you do any financial coding or excel work it will be useless without the number pad.

I can only save up for the keyboard as there's no ambidextrous or left-handed version of the mouse.
What is the language or layout version to get the big ENTER key?

I don't think so, but maybe with the cable it's always on?
@@MattsPaddock you are correct, the cable keeps it on. I always have it plugged in.

Just wanted to ask if it’s worth it to buy the craft keyboard if your intention is to use the knob for the time line in editing
No, I don't think so, you can get a mouse with a side scrolling feature, like the MX Master 2 or 3 and do it like that
