I'm curious why you come out on top and then back in with the hook? I presume that helps lock it in place better?
Yes. Mr. Mune calls it stitching the hook. It helps the bait from sliding even if little fish tug on the tail. Glad you noticed I forgot to mention it in the video.
Been talking about this bait for almost ten years !!! Fish arrow has been hover strolling for 13 years now ! I also have some great videos on it this bait catching fish! I pair it with a Picasso lures 1/14 oz scrounger head and great action you guys should check the video!!!!

Have you ever tried hover strolling the split tail, the j shad and the flash j huddle? I’m especially curious with how the huddle tail action is like.
Split Tail and J Shad yes. We choose the pin tail because it has more roll and action.

.9 gram nail weight in the chin of the bait. Either a screw on or a press in.
Might do better with an actual $20 bill rigged on a drop shot
