Happy Flying!
I think it is so thoughtful of you that you whisper when you're in your hotel room and the hotel hallways so that you don't bother the other guests.
Love your videos! I wonder if the post regarding a laser was at the 0808-0813 mark? I was curious about that as well. Congrats on 10K! Look forward to many more!!!
Excellent vid, thanks for sharing with us!! Also, your town hall meeting last week… 😂😂
Thanks! Hahha, was NOT me!
Handsome pilot....we need more :)
Yes, I agree! 💯 very handsome. But I'm im from Oakland if you go there again please be careful and watch your surroundings it's worse by the day.
Pilot Pete, I love the videos. You help out my leukemia and you keep me smiling❤❤❤
I'm so glad! 🙏🏻
Thank you for sharing your trip. Looking good with a nice Captain who gave you a 9.2!! Awesome!! Wow, the last time I flew to Oakland, California was when the last TV show of the series of the "Six Feet Under" ending.😊 Great memories for me.😊
Very cool!
Best part of my Sunday!!
Ayyyy appreciate that!
This is one of my favorite channels. And look you’re almost at 11 K subs. Channel is going to take off like wildfire!❤✈️
Hey that’s so kind, appreciate you being here early!
Great video Pete! Indianapolis is 2.5 hours from me.
Excellent video that is some great flying and a 9.2 landing just awesome 👌 👏 😊
Thanks so much!
When the FAA started random testing, I worked with people who would be tested maybe once yearly, some once every three or four months. I was tested on ONE TIME and it was 26 years after the program again. The company did pay pilots and flight attendants an extra 30 minutes of pay each time. I retired, having only been tested that one time. Of course, there was proper cause testing, that is when two members of management believed a crewmember may be on drugs or alcohol. We were not notified until we arrived at an airport, and someone was there to inform the person getting tested. These people would be at the airport at 0430 when you were arriving from GRU (Rio De Janeiro)
great info, thanks for sharing!
Awesome video Pete! Love the content and such an inspiration. Made my move down to couple weeks ago, now down in Sacramento will be starting my ppl journey next week just waiting for TSA clearance to follow thru and should be ready to fly!
Let’s go! See you on the skies soon!
Glad they give you all protein shakes in the catering 😊
It's also interesting that they test you all for alcohol but if you're coming off a long layover makes sense.
Very informational - great look into the journey! Your perspective is honestly what keeps me tuning back in!
Stay safe out there!
Thanks so much, and will do!
Yes, I worked in Oakland...........it's a crap hole.
Man i cant wait for this life style. Im starting school next week and im super excited.
Let’s go!
Greetings from your biggest fan in Switzerland
🇨🇭
Another good video. Congratulations on 10k
Hey! Thank you very much!
as the below commenter: so respectful in the hotel - great job. This is my first visit to your channel... great job. May I please make a suggestion, your background music apparently consists of two "measures" of music that repeat. Please consider changing this.. about the 200th time you hear it, you're ready to "grab a flyswatter" :) Great channel though... I subbed.
Appreciate the feedback, and thanks for the sub!
Hello Pete, big fan of your vlogs.
Can you make a video showing us more about how is a typical month in your pilot life? Like for example, how many work days you have, how many deadhead, etc.
Cheers
Yeah I can do my best!
20yrs of trucking, had 5 randoms. Within the first 6mo at latest company, I had 4 “randoms”, including day 2 of training with my mentor, safety guy sees us and says “oh, you 2 come with me, hold on a moment while I set this up” so randoms are mostly random.
Pete, you work out a ton while on the road! Good stuff! Non-Negotiable! What do you do with all the post workout gear? Seems like you might have to bring 3-4 sets of gear plus the clothes to be in several different climates. I guess on FedEx you can bring a giant suitcase!?
You know it 💪🏻. I rewear the shorts a lot of the time. The shirts I just put in a laundry bag
@@pilotpetefly Nice. Can't have the luggage getting stinky on a 4 day! Thanks Pete.
Hi Pete, can you talk in one of your videos about the top best (and worst) airports from your experience? It’s interesting from pilot POV.
I care about things most “passengers” don’t. I care about how long it takes me to go from gate to parking lot, not about how nice the lounges or food options are haha, as just one example
Can you vlog about a turbulent flight and how you experience that up front? I can tell you, riding in the back , it’s easy to feel like you’re going to die any minute. It would be reassuring to see that up front it’s no big deal. In my imagination it’s all hands on deck frantically trying to keep us in the air . lol
I’ll do my best!
You are amazing guy Pete I like win you explain everything that you do with your jobs
Thanks for watching!
Your Videos never Get Boring! 😄
Glad you like them!
Good video man! I’m in a suburb of Indy, and Indy being a FedEx busy airport, i’m just curious. Do they let you stay at the J.W. Marriott or do they make you stay close to the airport? It seemed like you stayed downtown
Depends on the layover length. But usually I’m downtown!
Best wishes for NYC marathon training. Do you ever go and play a sport instead of running and lifting? Pick up soccer or basketball?
Yep! Basketball and pickleball. And golf!
Fly and stay safe. Have an amazing week.
Thank you! You too!
@@pilotpetefly 👍✈️
I hope you had a great trip and enjoy your week
Thank you!
i really enjoy your blogs keep up the good work.
Thank you! Will do!
Nice video as always Pete. Do you get to fly the 757 also, or is that a different certification??
I do not, only 767
Congratulations for hitting 10k subscribers
Thank you so much!
Congrats Mr. 10K! Do you know if there has been any pilots fired after the drug test?
Thank you! Personally no, but yes, it has happened at the airlines before sadly
Question What Does The Direct Deposit Says When Your Paycheck is Deposited in your account!? Does it say the company's name? Inquiring minds wanna know?
Good that is was only a three Leg trip, unfortunate the end was 3000 miles from your Apartment.
Hahah yep. Not perfect, but paid to sit in the back, not going to complain too much!
Don’t see many bottom altitudes like that (4500) terrain I’m guessing without looking it up.
Yeah that’s the bottom of the arrival. But you’re right, usually “whole” numbers
How hard is it to get the overseas trips like to Europe etc and how do those schedules look?
They go pretty senior. I got more when we were busy. Hopefully more soon!
@@pilotpetefly would love to see one of those trips.
Do you also fly international trips?
Yep, just been awhile since I got one
What shoe were you working out in?
I rotate, but I think this video was the @BrooksRunning shoe
Don’t you guys deadhead first class on flights over 4 hours??
Confirmed
❤️❤️❤️
Nice video
Thanks!
So pilots can’t smoke weed or take edibles on their off days?
Haha no. That would stay in your system, and you’d fail a drug test. And then get fired. So I guess you can, as long as you’re okay with the possibility of getting fired!
one would think that they would do the alcohol test before the flight, not after.
This is what I’ve been saying for years!
Was that a laser?
Huh? No didn’t have any laser incidents
@@pilotpeteflyI think they meant that reflective thing you passed over on the flight
Have you flown out of American. I hope you run into me one day
I sure have!
@@pilotpetefly ok
Do they test for weed?
Yes
What's your lowest landing rating?
Hahah not sure, I don’t ask for a rating when it’s a bad one 😂😉
Hopefully nobody is still using The Whizzinator.
First.
I knew you would pass. I did have it in Afghanistan in our military, and I was always cleared. You are the essence of morality coming out of Catholicism. Nothing will ever destroy you.
🙌🏻🙏🏻
Business attire much??
Always!
