I mean yeah thats fair enough, but lets be honest the only kind of conflict we see the vampires and lycans engage in are the physical ones, the lycans don't seem to have much stock market savvy, so what your saying maybe correct, but theres no scene in the film to give us that explanation
I chalk it less up to money and more to do with organization. The vampires pretty much seem to know they can't win in a phyiscal battle against the Lycans, thus they make up for it more with being more organized and advanced. Think about it, the Vampires are basically a well organized gang or military like faction with squads of vampires trained to hunt Lycans, while the Lycans are a more disorganized street gang. They have brute strength on their side but as we see just by the fact they live in a sewer and fight each other, they aren't the well oiled machine the vampires are, which I believe is the main reason they are winning.
The vampires were winning outright because of a combination of organization and intelligence combined with being the side conveniently with a type of ammunition that is lethal to the otherside. Where as the werewolves were a disparate and broken race over the previous few hundred years with little organization and having to rely purely on their physical superiority in a general capacity against the vampires up until about the starting point of the first movie where they are being organized and leveling the weaponized playing field for the first time since Lucian's supposed death.
@@Quandry1 Yeah, the one advantage the Lycans have is their strength when transformed. Other than that the vampires seem to hold all the cards. The vampires favour elites, while the lycans favour numbers (which isn't much of an advantage if they can not properly support each other) and brute force. The vampires are well-organized and high-tech, the lycans are neither. The reason why they come across as so inferior during the first fight is because of the vampire that gives chase to a lycan without back-up or proper weaponry. I guess he did that so the movie could show that the lycans have more raw strength, but it does make him seem like a bit of an idiot.
@@rebornstillborn By the way things are set up and the lore of the movie. The Lycan's didn't even have numbers to rely upon for a long time. They are supposedly long on the losing end and hunting them for quite a while has been more a process of discovery and extermination with enough werewolves getting away that they have continued and they show evolutionary changes to help them hide such as not needing the moon to transform. It just so happens that such an evolutionary change also gives them a combat advantage as well. It's shown to us that it's the vampires hunting it packs, making organized efforts to search for lycan's though that organization may be dwindling becuse of the air of archaic belief about doing such by some of the vampires, and weapon superiority, against pockets of small numbers. Remember that Seline actually tells us that a large gathering of werewolves has been unheard of for a very long time when she finds one. And the first fight scene is riddled with plot armor issues. Mostly on the part of Seline.
I also think that so much of the power differences between the vampires and werewolves is also supposed to be based on lore and their ages. Victor is the second eldest vampire in the world, with Micheal his maker. This makes Victor utterly unmatched due to his age, martial skill as a medieval warlord, and tactical prowess (supposedly). Also in lore, Vampires are much more supernatural than physically powerful. Maybe they think more quickly and are slightly faster with better reflexes than humans. Werewolves in most roleplaying games are physical powerhouses, extremely strong, fast and durable. The main thing that the vampires always had over them was their reaction time and use of superior technology. The new bullets are supposed to show that the werewolves have closed the gap (probably due to Lucian specifically trying to turn specialists and scientists over the course of the centuries for their expertise), potentially shifting the balance of power (minus the elders, with Amelia being physically weaker than Lucian again due to how much longer Lucian has been alive or since Lucian is the first of the new Lycans per the prequel).
I thought that the Vampires only thought they were winning the war, since Kraven lies and tells Selene that the Lycans were previously hunted almost to extinction and she just seemed to accept it, and that the vast majority of the Lycans were just in hiding. I also thought that this was what Kravens part of the deal was - telling Lucian about things like when Amelia was coming, etc. Maybe I'm wrong :) Either way, first review of yours I've seen. Good job :)
the do mention this in film, but I would need to watch the film the tell you WHERE they bring it up. But still, thanks for these reviews, I need a little refresher before Blood Wars comes out.
If blood wars is gonna be anything close to awakening (which from the looks of it, it is) I would save the money and give to people who actually give a shit about the movie they're making and not watch a cinematic train wreck that collided with the fresh kills garbage dump
10:35 I haven't seen this movie before and he was literally on screen for half a seconds, but I immediately paused and went back (before it cut back to him) and YEP that's Wentworth Miller.
I just finished Binging your Ginger Snaps & Underworld recaps- I love, love, loved it whether I agreed with everything or not. You, sir are a entertaining witty fellow!! THANKS!!!
Not certain how true this is, but I once read that Clint Eastwood and Yul Brynner were two actors who never flinched/blinked while firing a gun on screen. Just wanted to mention that in relation to your point about the reason the actors wore sunglasses in The Matrix.
Fun fact, that movie was at the center of an IP court case with White Wolf claiming it took a lot from Vampire the Masquerade and Warewolf The Apocalypse games lines from the World of Darkness games line. and can see why
Fun Fact: the Design of the Hybrid in this film had to be resigned in a week. The concept drawings would have him look very furry with little small hairs that stood straight up. The SFX director said in order to pull off that look they would have to basically shove electrodes up the actors ass.
31:35 Victor blindly denies the legend because of racism...he treats with contempt the abhorrent idea that vampires and lycan are literal and figurative brothers.
Fun fact: More recent home video re-releases of this movie have replaced the original flashbacks of Sonya and Lucen with footage from Underworld 3. No joke.
It might've been a good idea for him to use that at least once more time in the film to get that understood really, cause it may have been a while since watching the film but I'm pretty sure vampires are never referred to as "bloods" ever, by anyone.
Deusdaecon Reviews they aren't and i wish they were honestly, cuz lycans vs bloods sounds ok, though kind of like the lycans are picking a fight with a gang
Concerning the accent slip, we aren’t told much of Kravens past as a human, maybe he was Irish by birth and after he was turned the accent went away as time passed and he wasn’t around it and around more British and America ones? I don’t know, just a thought I had.
I remember when I first saw this movie and I had a couple of on feelings about it. I thought it was very strange that that a man is brought into a vampire headquarters with a huge bite on his shoulder and nobody knows about it until they see it. I would imagine even on a regular person could smell the blood. Also I thought it was interesting and that the fight at the end where the vampire looks into large hole or cave in a wall and he can't see in the dark
In my head cannon, Erika left after freeing Seline, and opened a nice cafe in Transylvania, marrying another vampire and making a small coven there, because i actually really liked that character and was pissed they just poofed her character out of existence
Fair enough, only reason I prefer underworld is because at a young age it got my attention and I'm obligated to see it through the franchise to see if I like them or not. I really only seen the first one and half of Rise of the Lycens, and to be honest, this franchise is just part of the 2000s action movie catalogue. Some are bad, some are good, it all depends who you ask. I'm been a fan of internet critics like you for along time and have learned a thing or two on trivia and bad films, and I support you all in what ever way I can. I look forward when you review blood wars and who knows, the movie could suck but lets be honest, any film franchise outside of Marvel has a long uphill battle ahead of them. It is our jobs to find the diamonds in the rough.
I agree any film franchise has good and bad and if you want to continue watching underworld films more power to ya, I'm not hear to stop you, I would say though that awakening is not just bad its everything wrong with the modern film industry today, If you watch my review of it you'll see what i mean, because the film doesn't care about the franchise and it certainly doesn't care about the people who watch it, outside of their money anyway.
I always thought that the Lycans were pretending to lose the war. After Lucian had been supposedly "killed" is when the Lycans began to disperse and seemed to be in full route for the next several centuries. Appearing as being much less organized and disciplined without Lucian to lead them. However, this was Lucian's plan. He wanted the vampires to not be so focused on hunting him and so less likely to discover what he was doing(trying to create a hybrid, though freeing William would have accomplished the same goal of killing Viktor). So his horde had to pretend to be losing, perhaps taking part in fewer battles and gathering in smaller numbers, thus giving the impression that the Lycans were being driven into extinction. In the film Selene mentions how the horde she saw gathered around Lucian's hideout was the largest she'd seen in centuries, and hints at the Lycans playing possum. I mean the world is pretty huge and the Lycans started this plan long before modern surveillance technology, there could be thousands dispersed across the globe in smaller cells awaiting Lucian's official return and the vampires would not really have any way of being aware of this until it was too late. The irony of their Chaotic Evil appearance of the Lycans is that to pull this off would require immense discipline, loyalty and organization. In fact considerably more so than we even see from the supposedly more civilized and aristocratic vampires. This is why I prefer the original three films and lore over the shitty new films which removes any nuance at all from the Lycans. Seeming to have forgotten who enslaved whom and who started the war... the vampires. It has reached Resident Evil levels of dumb and for equally dumb reasons....
I appreciate the time it must have taken to write out your comment; adding paragraphs would make it much easier on the average reader or someone with a visual impairment. Thanks for sharing.
Actually, freeing William would have been a bad idea. The second movie shows how William was uncontrollable and he would have done more harm than anything else.
I know this is an older video, but some of the issues come from the writer basically writing from Vampire: The Masquerade. There was a law suite that he barely managed to avoid losing.
While I think there was a small'ish settlement of some amount -it was also ruled much of TM info was used in countless previous works and they were overreaching. Which is to say they were not all "perfectly Original" The guy Raze/Kevin said he also took from his experience in interracial dating...
Your Reviews are excellent -- very informative and introspective -- especially as I love horror films! UNDERWORLD is awesome, and Kate Beckinsale was perfect as 'Selene'... She was incredibly beautiful in this film and still is, 16 years later -- truly aging like fine wine 😍
In the subway scene the word Raze shouts when he sees that they are being followed by vampires is, "Bloods!" I actually quite like that he does, I think it adds to the world.
You see that as a flaw in a lot of movies, I get that it helps establish and cement it's part in their world, I feel with movies they're trying to make scenes unique and are careful of repitition because of critism
The funny thing is the silver nitrate guns could have worked AND been a huge upgrade if they'd been like tranq guns, it would have been much quieter and server the function of spreading it throughout their system.
This movie takes a lot of inspiration from the World of Darkness setting of role playing games, which include Vampire: The Masquerade/Requiem. In that setting, vampires are also significantly less powerful than a werewolf, often requiring kill-teams of four or more to take a single one down. Though you have a point if you say it's inconsistent, as Selene should not be able to take as many down as she does if the difference in power is so great.
@@deusdeaconReviews Yeah, I couldn't remember if there were court proceedings involved or if it was another case like StarCraft/40k where it's unclear who came up with what first.
I have two primary reasons for liking this movie. The first being the wicked variety of customized firearms they use of which is comprised primarily of weapons platforms owned and created by Heckler & Koch (my favorite arms manufacturer by the way). The second is the absolutely PERFECT soundtrack accompanying it that totally creates this kind of futuristic, dark, sexy, and occasionally pseudo-erotic atmosphere.
I agree that the whips are a stupid weapon for Craven to use, but I'd give them a movie pass on the symbolism. It is a pretty insulting way to fight a creature that was once enslaved to your coven. I also would give that kiss fake out a pass. When i saw that, my brain immediately reacted with "aw, fuck this movie," then she cuffs him--as if to say "Don't worry, audience, we don't think you're that stupid. We Sure got you for a minute though." I'm a bit shocked that this film has 16% on rotten tomatoes (that's worse than the bye-bye man). It's a dumb blockbuster, but it feels like an '80s dumb blockbuster. The writer is saying "i'm making silly escapist entertainment, but I'm going to make it with care and attention to detail. You can shut your brain off and watch, or you can keep it on if you're willing to put up with some hollywood schmaltz." I think the director (not the writer) dropped the ball here. That subway scene was ruined by terrible editing and camera work that I doubt was in the initial script.
Lets see..... Dual whips made of solid silver complete with hooks, like a cat o nine tails. would literally shred the lycan, cause immense pain, Inhibit healing as hooks broke off in the wounds, as well as the slavery reminder. As a referance somewhere in the film tis mentioned silver stops the regeneration ability. I think..... it's been a while since I saw it, Cheers
I have a theory about the bullets penetrating the floor I think they are custom made armor piercing rounds since this is a secret society of vampires they can make anything even those kind of bullets
35:50 ish, they call me a monster for making a monster but what is a monster anyway someone frightening the mob, someone playing god or someone to scared to understand and so they stand in loves way.
Deus, in the subway scene at the beginning of the movie Underworld... Raze the Lycan yells BLOODS as a signal to the other lycan that they are about to fight Vamps. Since he has a deep and I mean a really deep voice, it's really hard to tell exactly what he said in that moment. I own a Blue-Ray copy of this movie and I had to listen to that yell over 15 times (I gave up and had to switch on CC to read the word). Bald, Fold, Ball, Bold, Volt, etc...
I’m aware that it is indeed “bloods” being shouted, but I guess the criticism is less about “its hard to understand what was said” and more about “the film didn’t convey a scene correctly” cause you have to admit that if raze or any other character at any point in the film had referred to a vampire as a “blood” then that would have clarified it perfectly, but they didn’t so this confusion is entirely the films making.
a hive mind and prefering to be in a pack are not the same thing, your basically saying the lycans all share the same consciousness thoughts and ideas thats rediculous, they're werewolves not the Borg
Here is my logic on Michael. He said Marcus would be useless because he is already a vampire as in he was born one I thin. I say think because unsure of the tree on top-level lol. I think Marcus is directly below Alexander but if thats the case in the prequel shouldn't he be leader over Victor? Anywho I feel like with Michael he has the potential for both laying dormant and all the bites did was activate it. Kinda how you can activate certain gen in chickens to make them into their dino counterpart. Course find out later it doesn't matter if you were already one. Which still makes sense because both vampires and werewolves descend from Alexander. Which means both had potential the be either. The only question is for those bitten not born like Selene. Could argue either way. Could say no because she isn't a descendant or could say yes because she has the Corvinus blood in her veins from being turned. Though brings on the question of how does she know no one survives being bitten by both? I think that's something that was assumed because they are so different which is why that guy said Marcus was useless. Victor I think realized it was possible when his daughter got pregnant. That the 2 races can be mixed.
Actually, Marcus wasn't born a vampire, he was born with the pure strain of the virus in its active form but turned by a bat bite into the first vampire. That's why he couldn't be used for the hybridization, his strain was already mutated. My theory on why the two strains can't merge without the unaltered strain in the mix is because the two mutated versions have DNA from different species of animals which makes them incompatible with each other. The pure form of the virus is unaltered and capable of absorbing both strains at the same time, forming the necessary catalyst for the hybrid. As for how Sonja could get pregnant with a hybrid child, I have no idea how that's possible. Michael hadn't finished transforming into a lycan, that's the best explanation I can come up with for why he was still eligible for hybridization. Lucian did say Michael wouldn't transform for two more days after being bitten.
im not disagreeing with you I’m just rejecting the use of unnecessary and overly fancy terminology to get across a simple idea, just as i like to think my video do the same thing, no talking down to people
Water can kill vampires. It's an old myth about dying under water trapping your soul (or consciousness) in that spot for eternity. Something about it being the universal solvent or something.
two problems with that theory, 1. these vampires are not myth based, but science virus based, so I don't see how that still apply, and 2. according to blood wars these vampires are mystical beings and when selene drowns herself (okay its specific water but still) she gets more powerful, so you damned if you do and damned if you don't on this one unfortunately.
Deusdaecon Reviews you have mentioned several times that there are elements of the supernatural. It isn't too much of a stretch; especially since the only thought that was put into scientifically explaining werewolves and vampires was a "virus".
Oh i know I understand where your coming from, The point I was making was that it really doesnt matter anymore this series is way too far gone for any kind of logical explanations.
Deusdaecon Reviews you have a point, but also is there logic in the subject matter? Still would've been nice to have consistency: scientific, mythologic or otherwise.
I have to wonder. The first vampire vs werewolf 1v1 in the beginning... Why did the vampire give the werewolf the time to transform? I'd take the opportunity to get in a cheap shot and throw him off.
I absolutely love your UA-cam channel insightful funny great taste in movies and a kick ass intro song who is that band and what is the song's name I've been trying to find it on UA-cam
As a quick question, how many old series still need to be uploaded? To my experience it is this one, the ginger snaps series and the cube franchise. Am i missing any?
+Dragoonistiri well ginger snaps is already on the channel just two and three are tied up in copyright nonsense at the moment, the cube series does need uploading but theres also the rest of the mummy series, both tomb raiders, all of the constantine reviews, and few other one off videos, so quite a bit to get through really
Yeah just would've been nice for him to say it at least once more or for any other character in the entire series to say it just once to get that point across.
LOL, it never really dawned on me prior to watching this video but Kate Beckinsale's Selene and Mila Jovovich's Alice from the Resident evil movies have a shitload in common. Not only are they both super strong and can kick serious ass in their respective franchises, but it goes beyond that. Both franchises (Underworld, Resident Evil) both have several sequels where they start in each one, (save for the one Underworld film that was set hundreds of years ago and Beckinsale was only in like one scene at the end of the movie, and both actresses are married to either the director or producers of each one. Jovovich is married to the guy that directed every Resident Evil movie (I think his name is Paul Thomas Anderson or something Anderson) and Beckinsales husband was either the director or producer of most of the films. I wonder if there is any possibility of a cross over movie. It's not like it would be that far of a stretch, I'm sure Hollywood can find some way to have the movie universes clash. I know it's never going to happen, lol, but a guy can dream, especially of a leather clad Beckinsale and Mila Jovovich beating the shit out of each other. Screw attack has a series on UA-cam called "Death Battle" where they take 2 characters from across all media forms, from superheroes and video game characters to movie characters and cartoon characters and they analyze every aspect of the characters strengths and weaknesses before having them right to the death and I think Selene vs. Alice would be one badass death battle.
Years behind but I likely have a answer to the whole Drowning thing. The Vampires in Underworld are a specific kind of immortal, Naturally Immortal. Meaning any naturally occuring things that would kill a individual, aging or disease, doesnt harm them. BUT anything Artificial or accidental, Car Accidents/Gun Shots/Drowning, will kill them.
I think you meant that they are immortal but not invulnerable, at least i hope thats what you mean , but my complaint wasn't that she could drown it was more about their abilities being quite nebulous and ill defined.
It may well have not been about drowning. Breathing is a habit, and for vampires may only Be needed for speaking. Michael doing cpr did get the water out of her lungs, but it wasn't necessary for her to survive, that was just what the human assumed was necessary, because his training and a life time of definition of humans said breathing was necessary. Our perspective continues because breathing is necessary, but like Michael, we don't know what the details of existing is. For this story, Lucian is my favor i and his identity was pissed away for a - damnit. Lost word. Not leather but cheap, used for fetish clothing outfit
so what your saying is the film made us think that vampires can drown, with all the tension and peril that comes with that situation, without ever telling us that its perfectly fine and even going out of the way to show us that is a problem, deliberately complicating things without rhyme or reason, that still sounds like bad writing to me, i know theres show don't tell, but this is show and they throw a few red herrings in the mix and then never show anything else,
PFFT. I'm sorry, that part with Victor in the end with his head. It's like you wait forever and then when it finally slides off it's like... bwoop. Dead. Bleh. I don't know why, everything else was just so slow motion and then they just speed it up at the part. XD
Thats not how chemicals work, if it looks silvery thats silver floating in nitric acid thats hasn't reacted and become silver nitrate, so if thats the case for the film, why bother trying to sound smart by calling it silver nitrate.
Something to do with super saturation or something. The silvery stuff is silver chloride prexipitate and the final liquid is potassium nitrate. (Wikipedia) It's 2 in the morning so I can't really get super science-y.
Hmm, I get your point, but do we get shown Celine acting as though she's drowning (I can't remember)? It might be less that the water affected her (there's the whole thing with running water although I don't think it's a thing in this franchise) in the sense of her drowning (the crash being a result of her passing out from blood loss), and more that the interference of CPR causes convulsions as she starts involuntarily hacking the water back up. That said, I'm also not sure we see her drink blood before she seems to be fully recovered, so...
The OG Vampire Dracula, from the book, was unable to cross running water, which would explain why these vampire can drown, cause running water is bad for them.
As for the vampire eldars hibernating, I might be misremembering but doesn't the film state that this is because only one of the three eldars can rule at the time. All three of them have their own ambitions, and vampires loyal to them specifically and wouldn't want to be ruled over by the other two. The compromise is that one rules while the other two hibernate, and then switch. That's why the american coven has no eldar ruling it at the moment, technically they are sworn to the service of the female eldar whom arrives from Europe at some point in the film.
"The chain has never been broken, not once, not in fourteen centuries, not since we elders first began to leapfrog through time" direct quote from viktor
Actually, if you've seen the animated Underworld movie, it features Craven with an Irish accent, so the character is Irish, but the actor here just can't play Irish very well.
an irish man can't play irish very well ? you do know shane brolly is northern irish ? clearly indicating that he intentionally tried to mask his accent, and the animated movie just ran with his fuck up.

I'm a huge fan of your vids and I'm glad your taking on my fav group of vamp movies, definitely want your opinion on the last one the most
Selene shooting through the floor reminds me of Nemesis.
@Starlight Runner blame autocorrect
For as many times as I’ve watched this movie I never realized the actor falling out of his American accent 😆 also hadn’t realized he was from Ireland
No joke.
Thats just cheating.
@@deusdeaconReviews that's just comedy.
That kinda make sense, make continuity work better
I cut the subtitles on and what he yells out in the train station is Bloods!!!!! The word he uses to describe the vampires
I don’t know, just a thought I had.
possible but its far more likely that northern irish actor shane brolly, just had a slip in his accent and they left it in the film.
Deusdaecon Reviews agreed ☺️ but that would be a good explanation and make for an interesting backstory for the character
i agree. that's how my speech went. accent comes and goes
Its better then anything the makers of awakening and blood wars could come up with
I would love to see your review for twilight, mostly because I love your voice and I know you'd rip those movies to shreds.
How many hOT TOPIC stores did these people buy out?
I was introduced to this franchise when I was seven. First scene, Viktor getting his head sliced in half, even at that age I loved that scene.
Frankly they're all on an equal footing.
I just finished your evolution review, I'll get to the other two as soon as I can, and thanks for talking to me.
Time traveling vampires? Did anyone working on this movie read the Goosebumps book, Vampire Breath?
classic :)
10:41 That... That is Wentworth Miller. I guess he started working at a hospital after he broke out of jail? Thrice?
The actor who played Kraven is actually Irish so maybe he forgot to keep the same accent at the end of the movie
Love your videos bro watched at least for this weekend
I've noticed you looking for "good guys" in a lot of movies that intentionally do not have one. I believe the term is "grimdark"
Yeah but no matter what we have to be able to root for SOMEONE
I know this is an older video, but some of the issues come from the writer basically writing from Vampire: The Masquerade. There was a law suite that he barely managed to avoid losing.
My thoughts exactly! Didn't know about the lawsuit though.
While I think there was a small'ish settlement of some amount -it was also ruled much of TM info was used in countless previous works and they were overreaching. Which is to say they were not all "perfectly Original" The guy Raze/Kevin said he also took from his experience in interracial dating...
26:36 is what a Vampire Elder temper-tantrum looks like.
He shouted "Bloods!" 2:20 I'm guessing it's a pejorative term for vampires.
Could also be a reference to the real-life gang as well. XD
excellent review
The beginning song reminds me of high school and makes me want to cry
I think he shouts 'bloods' or 'blood' meaning vampires. I assume. I often wondered but the guy has a super deep speaking voice.
4:01 my exact reaction when I first saw that scene.
In the subway scene the word Raze shouts when he sees that they are being followed by vampires is, "Bloods!" I actually quite like that he does, I think it adds to the world.
It would add to the world more if he actually said again, ever or any other character said it, ever but its never used again in the entire series.
Though you have a point if you say it's inconsistent, as Selene should not be able to take as many down as she does if the difference in power is so great.
well considering they settled with white wolf in court for ALOT of money , you could argue stole rather then “took inspiration”
@@deusdeaconReviews Yeah, I couldn't remember if there were court proceedings involved or if it was another case like StarCraft/40k where it's unclear who came up with what first.
I've never understood vampire movies where they can reproduce. Can someone explain it to me? Are they dead or just immortal with a thirst for blood
its never explained and left very ambiguous
I have two primary reasons for liking this movie. The first being the wicked variety of customized firearms they use of which is comprised primarily of weapons platforms owned and created by Heckler & Koch (my favorite arms manufacturer by the way). The second is the absolutely PERFECT soundtrack accompanying it that totally creates this kind of futuristic, dark, sexy, and occasionally pseudo-erotic atmosphere.
it was a movie I saw on sunday in September during the aftermath of when the state of Virginia got hit by a hurricane
You notice that when Selene narrates in Awakening her voice is deeper than her narration in the 1st movie?
Well there is a nine year difference, Not particularly that unusual.
Courtesy of Good Omens Michael Sheen has also played an Angel and a Demon, all that's left is a ghost and a zombie and he'll have the whole set
41:35 Nightcrawler? Is that you?
4 movies is a Quadrilogy
it was a trilogy at time of filming
This series if awesome cheese. But the best thing about it is the world building. I'm a sucker for some solid world building. Love it.
And she also plays Beth Turner in Moonlight.
Where do they shop for their boots and clothes? North Beach Leather? How does the proprietor handle vampires?
Your fake out comment would better if they didn't end up together at the end, much like this movie would have worked better without the romance.
Review all the Twilight films.
I dare you :).
lol
That cover on your laptop is cool.
I wonder which werewolf transformation is more painful.
The one Michael has in this film, or the one seen in The Wolfman (2011).
I have a theory about the bullets penetrating the floor I think they are custom made armor piercing rounds since this is a secret society of vampires they can make anything even those kind of bullets
Im not sure how you could make silver armour piercing without just covering it in another metal making the silver completely redundant
@@deusdeaconReviews yeah I have to agree that would be pretty confusing.
The memories are flooded in like that to show the werewolves hive minded consciousness as compared to the independent loner type mind of vampires.
a hive mind and prefering to be in a pack are not the same thing, your basically saying the lycans all share the same consciousness thoughts and ideas thats rediculous, they're werewolves not the Borg
I always thought it was xenophobia not racism myself.
Same difference.
My gosh really.
This series was based off the theory of Daes Dae'mar. Garuntee that's why the first 2 were so good.
or in a much less hoity-toity style , Politics
@@deusdeaconReviews but this would explain why the vampires keep failing so hard
im not disagreeing with you I’m just rejecting the use of unnecessary and overly fancy terminology to get across a simple idea, just as i like to think my video do the same thing, no talking down to people
Water can kill vampires.
Ruby Sclera it sure would have been, wouldn't it?
I have to wonder. The first vampire vs werewolf 1v1 in the beginning... Why did the vampire give the werewolf the time to transform?
I'd take the opportunity to get in a cheap shot and throw him off.
Tetrolgy I like that word
I absolutely love your UA-cam channel insightful funny great taste in movies and a kick ass intro song who is that band and what is the song's name I've been trying to find it on UA-cam
the song is Look at me by Die! She Said you should be able to find it on UA-cam, Glad you enjoy the videos thanks for watching.
As a fan of WoD the werewolves will totally rekt those snubnose bloodsuckers without breaking a sweat
Nice review. I know someone who likes the Underworld movies. Personally I thought the first one was ok.
Raze shouted Bloods not fight.
Yeah just would've been nice for him to say it at least once more or for any other character in the entire series to say it just once to get that point across.
I thought so.
THE LYCANS ARE VERY POWERFUL WHEN COMES TO FIGHTING AND DEFEATING THERE ENEMIES A VAMPIRE CAN NOT DEFEAT A LYCAN
Not to bad ol chap... Not to bad at all
Years behind but I likely have a answer to the whole Drowning thing.
@@deusdeaconReviews Yeah thats basically what I meant.
It may well have not been about drowning. Breathing is a habit, and for vampires may only
Be needed for speaking.
XD
*"BLOOODS!"*
Would've been nice for him to say it at least once more or for any other character in the entire series to say it just once to get that point across.
Agreed, it would have definitely been more effective had a he (or another lycan) referred to them as "bloods" prior to that scene.
that being said, I'm new to the channel; and I must say, I like your work!
did he become nightcrawler, lol
Have a movie for a live action adaptation of fullmetal alchemist
Actually silver nitrate if you add enough silver, it does turn into that silvery liquid
Thats not how chemicals work, if it looks silvery thats silver floating in nitric acid thats hasn't reacted and become silver nitrate, so if thats the case for the film, why bother trying to sound smart by calling it silver nitrate.
It's extra silver in the silver nitrate but either way it's still possible for it to look like that as 'silver nitrate'
yeah but like i said if its silver in a any kind of liquid why does it need to be silver nitrate then ? apart from trying to sound smart.
Something to do with super saturation or something. The silvery stuff is silver chloride prexipitate and the final liquid is potassium nitrate. (Wikipedia) It's 2 in the morning so I can't really get super science-y.
Why is this blocked for Romania?
copyright claim unfortunately I'm still trying to figure the best way to fix it.
I Don't think he shouts " fight" sounded more like " BLOOOOODS!!!!" to me >_> but it's hard to tell what he shouts.
That is what he shouted
Hmm, I get your point, but do we get shown Celine acting as though she's drowning (I can't remember)? It might be less that the water affected her (there's the whole thing with running water although I don't think it's a thing in this franchise) in the sense of her drowning (the crash being a result of her passing out from blood loss), and more that the interference of CPR causes convulsions as she starts involuntarily hacking the water back up. That said, I'm also not sure we see her drink blood before she seems to be fully recovered, so...
The OG Vampire Dracula, from the book, was unable to cross running water, which would explain why these vampire can drown, cause running water is bad for them.
so garlic, crucifixes, mirrors do nothing but running water thats the one that sticks around ?
He shout Bloods not fight
How did she drown? I thought vampires' hearts don't beat. Meaning they don't use oxygen and don't need to breath.
I think he shouted bloods
I really tried to get into it but I fell asleep halfway through.
Jurasic Park
does anyone else think Kraven looks a lot like Glen Danzig?
38:00, thats not Raze
errr, yeah it was.
That's why the american coven has no eldar ruling it at the moment, technically they are sworn to the service of the female eldar whom arrives from Europe at some point in the film.
there no mention of political alliances, Viktor states its a way for the elders to “leap frog through time” thats the only reason given in the film.
You didn't know of Vampires vs Werewolves before this? Guess it's not as common knowledge as I thought.
7:40 Pretty sure Victor says "it's not his time to rule..." It's about sharing leadership between immortals. Not "traveling through time..."
"The chain has never been broken, not once, not in fourteen centuries, not since we elders first began to leapfrog through time" direct quote from viktor
There's just something so God damn hot about her with vampire teeth, holy hell.
I did not know about the actor, and I will concede that I am wrong.
This movie should’ve been called “Wet Hair”.
Pirate Style Jutsu “Greasy hair and black rubbery sounding outfits the vampire movie”.
