About the game:
Subnautica is a 2018 action-adventure survival game developed and published by Unknown Worlds Entertainment. The player controls a survivor of a spaceship crash on an alien oceanic planet, which they are free to explore. The main objectives are to find essential resources, survive the local flora and fauna, and find a way to escape the planet.
Its like waking up to see your favorite cartoon as kid
true...
For real! Any day without a new video is simply mediocre lol.
41:07 "I'm not going down there with the Cyclops." Yeah, about that.....😅
21:36 This little cove is one of my favorite places to build a base. Its just so damn beautiful in there, and entirely safe. Tons of thermal vents nearby for power too.
Oh this might be the move :O
@@matiasgago It does get a bit annoying piloting a cyclops in and out of it though haha
@@ZeallustImmortal you can park it outside tho. Transport yourself with the help of seamantha
@@genshinvids True, could do that
@@matiasgagomake sure to bring abundant coral samples with you. You can’t grow them and that material isn’t found down there. Otherwise, you can find every material in the lost river or grow it.
Your prawn suit will go much deeper and the sea moth is at the extents of its usefulness.
You're correct. You can find nickel ore in the lost river, but it's hard to spot them. And you need to use your orange tablet in a place you've been near before. Prawn suit feels much better when you have the grappling arm for it
Sonar eats up power really fast. It's useful but use it sparingly. Also, I love how much you love your seamoth and yet you still manage to hit every creature, plant and rock on the planet with it. It's like you're trying to hit stuff lol. The tree cove is great, a really useful, safe spot to build a deep base. Not to mention it's a great view! It can be tricky getting the cyclops down there but there is an easier path that is more suited to a big sub like that than through those glowy tree things you went through here.
nah its not that much of a power drain on the Seamoth. Plus if he carries spare power cells its really not an issue.
but the Cyclops sonar REALLY eats power (too much imo)
An ocean inside an ocean is a really cool phenomenon where the bottom layer of water is basically more dense than the top layer, it has something to do with temperature and climate. Which is cool that in the lost river, it literally looks like an underwater river, but greener
the pools and falls in the lost river are references to brine pools and brine flows. Temperature gradients in seas and oceans are not that pronounced and visible.
Brine pools actually exist. The salt density makes it an underwater lake.
@ It would be cool tho, I know that irl it's not like a whole different color/shade, it's fascinating tbh
It's actually a real thing as well. Look up "Cenote Angelita" and you'll see where they get the inspiration for the Lost River.
its kind of like that one movie meg
For the sequel, I’m definitely hoping they add water currents and waves. I want there to be water hazards, storms on the surface, places where the water drags you along, as well as wakes caused by leviathans.
I’d love there to be more creepy crawlers that make you afraid of small caves and kelp.
I want more ways to live symbiotically with the life on the planet.
I want abyssal regions. The original never goes below 2km whereas earth’s oceans average much deeper.
That's true, but to be fair most of Earth's truly Abyssal depths aren't inside of volcanic caldera.
The trailer does seem to hint at strong water currents as a feature, but it's not confirmation.
Hell yeah we love going deep!
💀
Yeah, he's going really deep now
Look for the heat mod for your Cyclops. It charges the sub in hot areas.
Question why didn't you take Sam a little way then go back for your prawn. Move them in tandem. Move one go back for them other them move it. And so forth.
@@JoeSchwartz-yx3jg I did not think of that lmao
Great job on the rescue mission! It’s great to see you gather yourself and go for it. This dono though is for that epic sound you made when you yeeted out of the prawn suit and swam for seamantha 😂😂😂😂
Bahaha thank you brother 😂 next episode we rescue Seagward lmao
Underwater water is actually real! it's called brine pool, very cool
The "I hate lithium" is so relatable. Every playthrough, I collect so much more than I think I need, just to need more later, somehow.
both the mushroom cave and the Sunbeam island are great for lithium, not counting everywhere else it can be found.
Build a base near the tree (880 meters deep) then build a bio reactor then scanner room. Use scanner room to find more items for crafting.
****build a thermal reactor*****
Not a bio reactor
yup there are vents nearby so 1 or more thermal reactors work well there
I prefer building a base near the power plant right as the area opens up. That way you are also right beside a teleport.
This is one of the best series on your channel!
Piece of advice...If you want to get your Prawn back to base make a grappling arm....Check the Lost River green 'acid water' streams and 'ponds'...don't forget to bring prawn's drill arm as well becuase you will do a shitload of drilling in Lost River for mineral deposits ....Prawn is not affected by acid 'streams' and 'ponds' so you basicaly can walk in acid in a Prawn....good luck
I prefer the booster upgrade to the grappling arm.
@@stiimuliboth??
@@thetoyodacar2264 well having both means trading out something else of importance.
@@stiimuli Use both, it's like the fastest way to get around lol
iit is a must for prawn!
39:40 Yes, Warpers are MUCH more dangerous than leviathans.
48:20 No they don't kill for fun. Remember the title of the other entry on Warpers you got from the facility? They are called "quarantine enforcer units".
The Prawn suit is like a tank btw - it is really sturdy and can take a lot of damage before it is destroyed. In terms of upgrades I recommend using the grappling arm (allows you to get real momentum, making it the fastest vehicle in the game with a bit of practice and when also using the jump jet upgrade. It also allows you to swing around like Spiderman in locations like the Lost River), the drill arm (that's what you need to harvest the large mineral blocks), the Jump Jet upgrade (vastly increases the jump jets efficiency) and for starters two storage upgrades (in the prawn these are not external like with the seamoth, they simply increase the volume of the built in storage).
Do NOT put the hull reinforcement upgrade into the upgrade - It has literally zero effect in a Prawn suit! This upgrade only protects against collision damage but not against damage caused by creatures. The Prawn Suit is completely immune to collision damage anyway.
1:09:57 I have 2074 hours in Sunbautica.
Huh. I guess the prawn is faster than the seamoth innit? It just feels slower when you're slingshotting yourself around. Probably because hitting a flat surface sort of halts you in your tracks.
Great advice for the upgrade modules/arms too. That's the exact loadout I used while scavenging further in.
@@terrapinflyer273 Getting the Prawn up to speed requires some practice, true.
But once you've mastered that it is objectively faster (provided you use the grappling arm to maximum effect and have the Jump Jet upgrade installed).
Oh, and hey! Here's a suggestion that didn't occur to me until my 3rd or 4th playthrough.... Now that you have the swim charge fins, you never have to carry spare batteries.... here's how:
Whenever you have a drained battery, simply swap the 100% charged one out of your seaglide with the dead one, and you will charge it while you explore. It is highly unlikely you will be swimming with any other tool in your hand... not long enough to charge it, for sure!
If he really wants to stick with the swim charge fins. In my opinion it is not worth the loss of speed that the ultra glide fins provide.
@Hauke-ph5ui That's totally valid. Keep in mind, though, that (direct from the Subnautica Wiki) "The Seaglide's speed is affected by the player's Suit and Oxygen tanks but not by fins."
@ The seaglide's speed is unaffected - correct.
However -whenever you use other tools the ultraglide fins absolutely do provide not only a speed but also a maneuverability boost over the charge fins.
It is only the case in Subnautica btw that the seaglide is unaffected by the type of fins, in Below Zero the fins do affect the speed of the seaglide which means that the Ultraglide Fins + seaglide in Below Zero is faster than charge fins + seaglide.
Not to mention that the charge fins are kind of pointless if you switch batteries each time you're at base.
Lastly, swim charge fins provide no speed boost whatsoever, so when not using the seaglide you swim as slow as you did at the start of the game with no fins equipped while using the swim charge fins.
@Hauke-ph5ui Good info!!!

Neighbors: Good morning Mati. Have a good recording
Mati: Neighbors, please, shut up
What a rude, rude man
🤣
4:20 "...there is gotta be so much that we havent seen yet..."
Oh boy...
The giant cove tree is one of my favourite places in the game, its actually where I build my endgame base in my first playthrough!
You’ll need to get down there with the cyclops eventually.
And there is an other entrance to the list river by the degasi’s last base where you’ll find a lot of things that you missed . And most of the nickle ore needs to be mined with the drill arm .
Great video btw
And also you could’ve gone through the broken glass in that alien facility to that big fish skeleton too!!
I started to feel like your doing that on purpose at this point😅
😅😅
And also there is the cyclops’ fabricator it got some cool upgrades for the cyclops too
Why would you need to bring the cyclops down there? The prawn suit is more than enough for all the deep places. You could even do it without the prawn suit. Hell, even without a oxygen tank if you want to challenge yourself a little bit.
You don't need to drill the nickel, there is quite a lot of it scattered about. Get a tiny base with a scanner room attached going and you'll get loaded with nickel.
@@rissaarei5336 yeah yeah that’s my bad😅
I’m a play tester for Subnautica 2 (no I can’t answer any questions lol) - but to clarify SN2 is releasing in early access this year. This is similar to how Subnautica was made. SN1 was early access and built HEAVILY off of fan feedback. So just to set your expectations SN2 won’t be fully complete on release. The devs plan to continually release updates for 2-3 years maybe more. (Kind of like No Mans Sky).
The planet and story is entirely new and different.
35:00 in, i've been screaming 'read the datafiles' for ten minutes XD
It would have added much to th atmosphere of the things you were exploring, but the speculation is fun too, enjoying the ride regardless
This was me. I got mad xD
Something you might find helpful is to use the habitat builder down in the Lost River to build a mini base somewhere safe if you die while down there, you'll respawn closer and be able to get your seamoth/prawn suit much easier
There is just something about the lost river that freaks me the fuck out, I don’t know if it’s the fossils, leviathans, or ambience, but either way it’s a really cool area. Almost at the end!
Of course Siegward ends up stuck in a pit 😂 it was always his destiny
I drop mine in jellyshroom cave. I just jump without any module on. Fun times
I was just sitting down to chill for the rest of the evening and then I see your upload. What a perfect timing that is! :D
Hey mati, love your series!! In regards to the warpers, they're actually designed to be more deadly towards more sick individuals. The further the kharaa advances in your system, the more aggressive and damaging the warpers become. It will get to the point that they can one-tap you, so just be extra cautious the longer you play the game!
(There are specific mechanical milestones of course but explaining it this way is more fun and interesting)
~~~end game spoiler below this-~~~
..
However, Warpers will no longer hunt you once you cure the infection.
Hey Mati, there technically is a "second" game which does take place after this one, below zero, kind of disliked by some of the community but still a over all good game. that should cure your boredom and want for subnautica 2 later this year.
Not really disliked, moreso just nobody likes it as much as the first.
@@ZeallustImmortal i can see that the direction def changed between the two
@VitalM852 Yeah, im hoping that Subnautica 2 ends up being closer to the first game than the second, but I also hope they don't scrap all the improvements BZ made especially in the biome designs. BZ and 1 have a very different approach to biomes and excel at different kinds of biomes. I want best of both worlds lol
i really loved subnautica below zero and didn't know that people hated it until like a year after finishing the game. To me i really liked the colorful environment and weirdly enough what scared me most of the time was the storm on the surface, For once it felt like being under the surface is safer than being on the surface.
He mentioned Below Zero in this video and said he might play it.
Ofcourse a mati video drops before the day of the exam.
Ok, btw keep going deeper. Deeper than youve ever gone. Push past seamantha's limits and go further beyond.
TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!!!!
Glad you’re enjoying Subnautica! The Lost River is certainly a sight when you get there for the first time. Great playthrough so far, thanks for the videos!
Binged all the episodes in the past two days... Im OBSESSED with this playthrough!
remember that there is also Subnatica below zero
Honestly I've been most excited for your reaction to the Lost River, it's personally my favorite Biome in the game and I always love seeing people witness it and it's contents for the first time
I was so sad that you were going to leave Sigwort down there. Rooting for your new plan to work out! Also, look for resources around the brine pools.
Love the series! ❤
Perfect, well-planned strategy of deploying Seagward at the frontier!
I adore the Cove Tree area, and I couldn't resist building a base there.
As a general tip, I found that, usually, new materials were found at around the edge of the available depth. It was like the game was like "Oh, you made it all the way down here? Here you go, here's what you need to get deeper."
It was definitely the right choice taking the Prawn suit (minus modules) to rescue Seamantha. Much harder to replace her with all her upgrades.
Things will get even crazier from here !
just swim, you could have been back in a few mins lol
@@WookieWarriorz He would not have made it down that far on just his air tank especially not being familiar with exactly where he was going.
Or just use the cyclops and dock the seamoth into the cyclops and comeback with both? I'm surprised not many people suggested this, it would've been the simpler and best options without losing a prawn suit or seamoth.
I would personally suggest taking the Cyclops (instead of the Seamoth) to get the Prawn suit, even though it might seem a little big it can totally fit. That way you can dock them together and bring both back home. Just remember to take add some defense perimeter stuff to the Cyclops.
Yo this is my first time commenting here!! Absolutely love your videos Mati!!
Welcome to the comment gang haha appreciate you bro!
@@matiasgago 🙌🙌
It feels so amazing and refreshing watching your vids while I get stressed out with school stuff
Helpful Hint: The Cyclops acts as a spawn point because it counts as a base. So if it is the last thing you were in before you die, you will spawn in it.
On that note, I suggest you upgrade it and take it with you as you go deeper. It has a lot of potential and is not as fragile as you may think.
(Also, the devs made sure it fits almost everywhere in the lost river)
Btw the undersea rivers are a natural phenomenon. It's made of salt water and hydrogen sulfide that is denser than regular salt water and can form water bodies and rivers inside actual water river/lake/sea.
Tip: the other bloodkelp zone aka the trench you explored in an earlier episode provides a much safer access to the river with no leviathans. Despite it being kind of narrow, it is possible to finess the cyclops through there. The cyclops sonar should also help with that.
The best entry for bringing down the Cyclops is actually the one in the Deep Grand Reef, not the one in the Blood Kelp Trench. It is much easier to maneuver there and it connects to the same save route as the entrance in the Blood Kelp Trench.
Personally I prefer the entrance in the Mountains though even though it is harder to avoid the Ghost patrolling there (still pretty easy, just activate the Silent Running for a few seconds to sneak past theGhost and all is fine and dandy).
@Hauke-ph5ui i didn't say that the trench was the best entry for the cyclops, i said it was the safest entry overall (in my opinion atleast) and that it's possible to fit the cyclops through if
@@eemeli1744 Sure, it is possible to fit the Cyclops in through the Trench entrance, but why taking that hard to maneuver entrance when you can take the exact same save route in the Lost River by using the much easier to maneuver Deep Grand Reef entrance?
@Hauke-ph5ui the trench has an entrance that connects almost directly to the chamber with the gargantuan skull, so it's faster than going through the deep grand reef. It's also not that hard to navigate the trench despite it being narrow, and with occational use of the sonar it's a cakewalk. I also like the vibe and the atmosphere of the trench more but i suppose that doesn't really matter. Don't get me wrong, i don't think the reef is a bad option, i just prefer the trench.
@ It comes down to personal preference in the end.
However - I'd argue that the Trench entrance is not faster. You need to maneuver slowly and carefully while you can go full speed ahead with the Deep Grand Reef entrance - and since they're so close to each other you most likely need the same amount of time to reach each entrance unless you build your base in Sea Treader's Pass or above the Trench itself.
The worst entrance in my opinion is the one in the Northern Blood Kelp, mostly because it is hard to navigate in the Ghost Tree cave while at the same time avoiding the juvenile Ghost there.
The fastest route depends always in the location of your main base - if it is in the Northern half of the map the Blood Kelp Forest and/or Mountains entrances are definetly faster to reach, while the Trench and Deep Grand Reef are faster if your base is in the Southern half of the map.
Haven't watched this yet but I know its gonna be a banger with some toasts and eggs tonight.. been feeling real sick lately and your videos cheer me up. Much love ❤❤
You were quick af with that medkit, shame warpers hit hard lol
I love this series so much. I love that you take your time to enjoy the game and read all the PDAs. Helps keep my love for this game alive while I wait fo number 2 to drop.
39:40 typical Subnautica experience xD that happens to everyone don't worry :D
What a pleasant surprise to see a new upload this morning. I started a new play through with my two boys recently. Watching you play made me want to hop into the water again. Glad you are enjoying this game and taking your time with it. Ok I’m gonna stop typing and watch the video now. ✌️🎃
Actually had to look, I have 1146 hours in Subnautica however I'm currently playing modded, it's the game that just keeps on giving and never gets old. I'm really enjoying this playthrough Mati, watching others experience this game for the first time makes me happy but also super jealous.
Holy Moses! That dearh by the Warper was nuts. Not only vicious, but also fast. It seems they're more aggressive down there.
I'm surprised Mati never used a second bottle of oxygen to swap in case of need.
This is when the game starts getting really good. And also extremely frustrating. But mostly good.
Edit: ok, so now I see what you explored and I can say without spoilers that I fully endorse the tree cove as a second base location. It gives you a place to use while you explore the lost river, which is rich in resources.
LETSS GOOD, BEST SERIES OUT
There are multiple ways to enter/exit The Lost River and I reccomend exploring all of them. There is one that I prefer because it avoids all the ghost leviathans. Also, now that you are heavily infected, Warpers can do a TON of DAMAGE! So they are to be feared even more now
You can scan the skeletal remains behind the "glass" at the 800 meter alien facility - just go forward a little
The same feeling when you lost all your souls (40 minutes in). Another great episode, thanks!
27:53 "...I can deal with the little aliens." Famous last words. 12 min later gets double-tapped by the Warper...
Remember that your vehicles get charged when they're docked into the moon pool as well. the seamoth has one power cell, the prawn suit has two. so when you're out and about with your seamoth, you could charge two additional power cells by putting empty ones in your prawn suit.
Well, considering the end of the episode, that’s off the table
I just finished silent hill 2 myself the other day dude and I can’t wait for you to finish that game! Such a great story
Its great that you reading things, because personally i really enjoy it, not many youtubers does it, so i really fond of this channel.
Yes. Just finished work, perfect timing! You inspired me to play the game again, finished it last night, forgot just how much I love it. Glad you're enjoying
So excited for deeper exploration! Even more excited for even deeper fears!!!
Exciting, lots of cool nasties down this way Mati. I have been looking forward to your next subnautica episode 😊
you can make depth modules for the cyclops, its actually intended to bring the cyclops down into the lost river and deeper. You can put one of your vehicles inside and the energy efficency module is a must have so your battery doesn't drain like crazy
You can leave the salt in the water filtration machine and just pick up more water if you don't need the salt!
Its so sad when you ran into like the one piece of broken glass from the window leading to that big skeleton in the research lab both times you tried to go in
So excited to watch! Rly looking forward to these episodes I feel like ur enjoyment for the game and commentary just make and hour go by in five minutes😆
Hey Mati, you're going to eventually want to take the Cyclops deep down. I know that sounds scary, but you can do it! Also, it may be useful to make a small base in the Lost River somewhere and a Scanner Room so you can find the different resources needed to craft some Prawn Suit Modules, namely the Depth Module and Jump Jet Upgrade. The Grapple Arms also help a ton to scale sheer walls and cliffs, especially with the Jump Jet Upgrade, making getting back out of the deeper zones with the Prawn Suit super easy.
Since the Seamoth has reached its usefulness as far as depth goes, you may even consider bringing the Prawn Suit with you in the Cyclops and making all the modules and upgrades you would need before going into the deeper zones. Also, the Cyclops itself has its own upgrade console inside, so be sure to look at that as well!
There are a few entrances to that cave.. You found the back door. Take the sub and make a base down there
Also another game on your list gotta be Outer Wilds. In the let's play blind play through community there are two big names - Subnautica and Outer Wilds.
Vastly different games and settings, but all about exploration and for sure something that must be enjoyed entirely blind.
“800 meters under the sea” by Mati.
A couple of things you need to know. To go deeper you will have no choice but to do it with the cyclop and prawn suit. As the seamoth cannot go deeper then 900m and you need to go about 1.5 km or so down. The cyclop with the mk3 depth module and prawn suit with mk2 depth module can go up 1.7km down.
Also the cyclop has a docking bay, you didn't need to leave your prawn suit or seamoth stranded. You could've went down with the cyclops, dock your seamoth into the cyclops and then bring the seamoth back to base while inside the cyclops. Also the cyclops is very sturdy much more resistant to damage then the seamoth or prawn suit.
Also the cyclops is able to have sonar, shield upgrades to protect you even further. Just make sure you bring 6 extra power cell for your cyclops.
Also the lost river is the best place to get minerals. Normally you want to build a base near the sea dragon remains and put a scanner room. Also build your necessities like planter, water filtration and power cell charger and battery charger that way you have a midway resting station, to eat, drink and recharge power cells. To power your base put a thermal power plant near the mounts with smoke coming out, and then power polls to send the energy back to your base. Then inside the base put a bioreactor or even better nuclear reactor.
Nickel and crystalline sulfur are in the lost river. Make sure you bring the prawn suit with the drill arms, cause there is tons of large mineral deposit of gold, silver, quartz, copper, titanium, nickel, uraninite, lithium and lead that can only be drilled.
As for the scanner room, the best upgrade is the range upgrade. Each one you put into the scanner room, increases the range by 50m. With 4 upgrades, you get to scan up to 500m distance.
As for the gel sack, stop picking them up and cut them, that will give you seeds that you can plant in your external growbed. Also instead of planting creepvine plants, plant the creepvine seed cluster instead. It will give you the creepvine for the fibermesh but you will also get the clusters (yellow glowing orbs) to make rubber or lubricant. As for the interior grow bed, go back to the island with the degassi base and find some marbamelons and cut them for seeds, they are the best fruits in the game, giving tons of food and water.
Just to help you a bit, there is an inactive lava zone and an active lava zone. The inactive lava zone will be the first thing you reach and there is an alien base here you need to get too, to progress. Which will then send you deeper into the active lava zone. Also i would build another short base in the inactive lava zone, so you can put another scanner room, to find kyanite.
I could feel his pain when he read "at a facility 1.4 km deep".
Yes thats correct. So much deeper to go. 😁
I genuinely would love to see a playthrough of below zero from you! Some don't like the game compared to this one and I agree it's not this level when it comes to story. In terms of the actual gameplay mechanics it's a bit of an upgrade but the story is a bit lacking on some parts. It personally for me doesn't take away from the actual gameplay experience!
I hope to see you play it one day!
edit: 380h in Subnautica 108h in Sub zero
Personally I think Below Zero is crap when compared to Subnautica. But on its own it is still a really good game. The 3 main things that bother me is 1: Too much on land
2. Vehicle not as good
3 Doesn't go deep enough
That being said the first time I dove into the water in Below Zero was even better than original Subnautica.
The early game of Below Zero is just as good as Subnautica. It's the middle and end game that are the let down.
But still worth playing.
I can't even begin to describe how excited I am about Subnautica 2.
@@dneill8493 Honestly agree with you on those points but for some reason I still just love the game. I think I'm just in love with the underwater and the beauty of the environment
@@dneill8493 same - I think Mati would enjoy the game for what it is .
A warper got me like that the other night. Except I was going solo in the prawn and was a LOT further in than that. Same reaction lmao. I ended up building a second prawn to save it. Then stored my second one topside in my cyclops for future endeavors. I do not feel comfortable taking the cyclops into the depths... yet.
What I want to do now, after watching you save Seamantha, is find a way to drop off a prawn just past the Cove Tree so I can speed up my non-Cyclops runs by taking the seamoth as far as it will go. Then taking the prawn into the depths. Without the cyclops though, I'd have to leap frog between each one until the prawn is where I want it...
(I know there are 'other ways,' but I've gotten used to the 10 minute run to [going past the cove tree] in the prawn lol)
Good luck building a base further in, if you choose to do so! One of the most frustrating things I've done in the game so far lol. That's how that damn warper got me!
Nickel ore can be found in the lost river and the lava zone, also make sure to bring plenty of power cells or your cyclops when your using the prawn suit (use the cyclops to charge the prawn suit but be wary it will drain your power of the cyclops but not a lot but still be wary)
This game is hilarious.
A second base in or near the river, with a moon pool and scanner room, could prove useful.
I usually just build a base and moon pool near the thermal vents in the lost river. Water purifier, garden, the whole shbbang
Ahhh the good old wide eye stare as you run after seeing a leviathan. Great episode.
Every time you use the sonar it uses up 1 energy from your power cell charge
That warper was on a mission. And one thing I did in my subnautica was a lot of scanner room around the map, I had 4 houses in my playthrough. Also, use the Prawl suit for the rescue was the best ideia, and you can still rescue him
My first playthrough was about 30h, then I had one with 22h and one where I focused on base building and a completionist round lasted around 50h. I love this game and cannot wait for Subnautica 2
Can’t wait for another mati classic
If you want to rescue the prawn without risking anything, you could fill your inventory with a bunch of bladderfish and swim down there. They replentish 15 seconds of O2 when you eat them raw, so you wouldn't need a vehicle.
Fun fact: the toxic gas in the Lost River actually exists in real life! They’re called brine pools and only exist in really deep parts of the ocean.
Great mix of fun new challenges and f'n shit up. I felt for how your stomach must have dropped at 'losing' Seamantha. But no worries, you'll be fine.
I'm at 122 hours played and now you've made me start adding more.
Fun Fact MATI! The Prawn Suit has 900 hp and Seamantha has 300hp. :) I love your content! Also, I cant wait for the second Subnautica to drop this year! I'll be here to watch you play it too.
Quick note - gel sacs are plants so you can plop them into the grow beds with your deep shrooms, don't just keep them in your locker!
25:00 fun fact, there exits in real life water under water. it's just heavier, denser, much more saltier! :) you should look it up on wikipedia its a cool thing!
The cyclops can dive down into the Lost river, it is tricky but there's other entrances 😊
I am at such a similar point in my first playthrough 😮 gotta hurry up to not get spoiled watching these!!
You got this! 😅
I've been watching this whole series I'm loving it so much keep it up
Before you go rescue Seagward you might want to look into getting a grappling arm for him, it'll help you traverse the caves a lot more efficiently.
This has got to be my favorite Subnautica playthrough since Jacksepticeye's playthrough 🙏🙏🙏 (and probably one of my favorite playthroughs since the beggining of this decade)also you missed a couple of scans back in the alien base 👍
SUBNAUTICA TIP!
If you ever loose seamantha again and you dont want to take your prawnsuit or cyclopse you can make a couple of high capacity o2 tanks and you can swap them out underwater to extend your o2 they don't refill once their empty unless you get inside a place with oxygen though, which is kinda obvious but some games spoil us to well 😂
Yay ! Been looking forward to this :)
I made a base down there deep in the Lost River near the alien base. I made my home right where that ghost reaper lives. I walked in my glass tunnels and looked at the Reaper.
That sonar is epic on the cyclops helps not to crash it 🤣
When traveling deep you can make extra air tanks to get to your destination, just always remember to refill all tanks when you reach oxygen.
and, yes, cannot wait for Subnautica 2 (being made in Unreal engine 5!)
