Drives at a reasonable pace onto the roundabout, notices a car has entered ahead, floors it so he can make it look like an 'incident' he can upload to his dash cam channel, a prolonged sounding of the horn for good measure. This is the type of clip that people are absolutely bored senseless of seeing on these videos.
Sorry to say Cristian B but in fact the Highway Code states you should give way to all vehicles approaching from the right regardless of if they are on the roundabout or not. So if by moving onto the roundabout you cause a vehicle either on the roundabout or approaching from the right to have to slow or avoid you, then you have in effect pulled out in front of them. The Merc was 100% in the wrong and should have waited.
The only thing we can't tell from that clip is if the camera car is indicating. I couldn't hear one going, but the Merc should not have moved onto the roundabout if they weren't sure of the direction of travel of the camera car.

NathanCelica. Well roundabouts are a major part of the road network and many people actually want to see all sorts of bad driving clips including those on roundabouts. You are just being selfish and thinking about what you want and fuck everybody else. If you don't like it I'm sure you can find something else to watch.
If folks stopped trying to overtake on a roundabout most of the roundabout clips would not happen.

This is one of the things that annoys me with these clips. There was no reason he could not just let him out... It's the same with the roundabout clips, if people were a little more patient and just let people go.
But he had to get his UA-cam footage!
I wouldn't have entered the box junction in the first place in that situation, with no clear exit.

The only form of right of way, is for a pedestrian to enter/cross a public footpath across private land.
Let’s be honest majority off people in these clips have just overreacted.
Exactly. Simply slowing down a touch and not sounding the horn would avoid most problems. But continuing to drive fast and beeping the horn usually scares the other drivers who in turn slam on their brakes, making the situation worse than if they had just driven normally in the first place.
Dash cammers always seem to want confrontation and the lady at 1:40 even says "You knew he was gonna do it". They know what they're doing. It's just as bad if not worse than the stupid drivers who are making the mistakes on the road.
Well done to North London Dash Cammer for staying calm while being shouted at, and encouraging others to be calm on the roads. They're an example for others to follow.

Alot of these are people who have seen danger yet cruise into it and honk! Fair play to lady who corrected the driver "you knew he was gonna do that" which implies he knew and wanted to honk that horn 😂
What’s going on at 7:18? I presume it’s a one way system as otherwise Gonzoshop was on the wrong side of the road/massively cutting the corner?? Couldn’t see any signs though and none on the junction the BMW backs into
There's a blue '"One-Way" sign on the left hand side, just above the black Mercedes (could be a Honda?)
Also all cars parked on that street are facing one way.
Look again - There is clearly an arrow on the road the car backed into.
And the guys on the motorcycles handled it like gentlemen. An honest mistake can happen, solved perfectly.

The trailing car did let you merge but then you went ballistic - slamming on your brakes and bringing traffic to a standstill. Suggest you consider anger management therapy. Meanwhile, might be a good idea to stop driving - you’re a danger to yourself and other road users.
Jamie, just a thought, but why didn't you merge in behind that vehicle? Why was it necessary for you to get in front?
Then, following impatience to get in front, you brake check them and hold up all the traffic. What a numpty you are.

You can see the acceleration kick in just before the horn. If someone's in your way and you need to use the horn, why would anyone who isn't an idiot accelerate?

Probably for the internals on the rear bumper, the bit that absorbs the impact. Other parts would include the boot door, possibly the electrics like the number plate lights and the plastic bumper. The work involved in rewiring the boot door, locks and replacing the engineered parts of the bumper all add up, especially when an insurance company will want to use a specific garage, which will inflate costs with such a significant customer supply.
Adam Morris youve no idea the prices Manufacturers charge for things these days, its not surprising there are so many car written off for what looks like minor damage. Prime example, a Headlight washer cover for my Honda Civic, now its a piece of painted plastic 2 1/2 inches by 2 inches, £86!
The most frustrating part of a lot of these clips is the fact the person driving (and obviously uploading these videos) is often the one in the wrong. Yet they CLEARLY think they aren't. Half of these roundabout clips are the drivers fault. Yes the person should give way to the right, but if you haven't even reached the junction yet then they are allowed to pull out. People seem to forget you aren't allowed to barrel into a roundabout at 40mph... that was never the rules. You are meant to either stop or slowly crawl.

Yes but that doesn't mean you force your way in with no indication. The idea is to find the gap as the road merges not wait until the last second. Plus if you dont have a gap you don't speed up, you slow down.

It's not a rule; it's advised. Regrettably, where there is congestion, there will be competition for space; and where there is competition for space, there will inevitably be winners and losers. By definition, you will thus get some who are so determined to be perceived as winners that they will adopt a "Get thee BEHIND me, loser!" attitude to discourage any who might dare to disagree. Until it is mandatory, and enforced, this situation will, sadly, continue.
at 5:06 I thought it was pretty obvious i the cammer just let of the accelerator and kept to his lane until after exiting the roundabout it would be fine.
When two lanes merge, whoever is ahead has right of way. Why people think it’s a good idea to sit in someone’s blind spot is beyond me.
7:20 The signage for that one way street is truly awful if you're not familiar with it.

My Mercedes SL350 had a similar rear impact and it was nowhere close to £3k repair bill, you have an old Nissan Qahshqai.... Stop over inflating the amount!

Probably because so many see the arrow as meaning move left with impunity. Merge in turn has nothing to do with the Jamie video. In fact it's expressly not recommended in that situation if you read highway code rule 134. The arrow means he needs to move left and mirror, signal, manoeuvre applies.
I no longer think the standard of driving has dropped. It's mainly the aggressive arrogant inattentive arseholes that have increased in population

I'm amazed how so many people react with a horn blast BEFORE any braking action or attempting to avoid the situation. I suspect it has something to do with the hazard perception test where contestants have to whack a button when they perceive a possible danger ahead. They sit and practice for hours at home, hitting the spacebar on their computers and then off to the test centre to hit a button. Maybe they should replace this with a brake pedal instead of a button set about steering wheel height. However, from the standard of driving demonstrated in these clips, my belief is the hazard perception test clearly doesn't work... or many people are deliberately allowing situations to develop for their one and only moment of glory on UA-cam.

1:45 I work just down the road. Getting out on that roundabout is always entertaining. The amount of people that just go across three lanes of traffic is ridiculous.

5.31: That's a pretty notorious road for renegade driving in Torquay. Eden Vauxhall are down where the silver car pulled out of and it's just up the road from Torbay Hospital. Loads of people blocking box junctions, pulling in suddenly and violently, mad attempts at overtaking on the bend you see at the end of the clip. Everyone trying to get somewhere at 1,000,000mph. I avoid it where possible

2:53 - whilst the silver car was in the wrong (merge in turn etc.) brake-checking them could have caused an unnecessary accident. And what's with just sitting there afterwards?!
Actually the silver car is in the right, merge in turn (zipper technique) is only to be used in very slow moving / queuing traffic, if traffic is moving at a reasonable rate then the car that is merging must wait until it is safe to move over.

With reference to Jack B and Brett D if your going straight on at a roundabout you should approach in the LEFT lane unless the arrows on the road instruct otherwise.

It always baffles me that people have such hatred towards speed camera vans :/ As you've said, people shouldn't be speeding in the first place. If you're doing the speed limit you've nothing to worry about. The only people that take issue with it I assume are the types of people they've caught speeding :P
Because they're not going after real criminals. And speed limits are often stupidly low. I can think of a dozen roads within a mile of my house that are too low!

Funny then, apart from speed cameras, Police on the Motorway dont stop you if you overtake them at 85mph - I've done it, I've even seen the police go that speed whilst not on blues and twos. I also watch many 'Motorway cops' programs, and only ONCE I have seen a copper pull someone over for speeding at 85mph because they thought she was doing that speed and I QUOTE "unsafely" meaning they wouldnt have pulled her over if they thought it was safe. It wasnt cos she was speeding, it was cos they thought she was unsafe.
I do find it funny that everyone as soon as they see a police car suddenly cruise at 70mph and here I am overtaking them all and nothing happens.
EDIT: I did once get stopped by an unmarked police car by going 45mph round a 30mph roundabout, they stopped me, and I just said I was late for work and was pushing it a bit, they breathalysed me, I was all clear, they then let me go, no speeding ticket or anything.

£3000 worth of damage, surly not. Doesn't looks to be anything structural there (that's just a guess obviously), New boot/bumper from the video is what it looks like is all that's needed. Can get those from eBay or a scrapyard cheap and respray if a different colour.

Did I say that any/every insured driver would buy their own parts. Granted most people my like new parts on their car but my point was saying that it could be done a lot cheaper with still very good parts.
@bluezedd It doesn't have to be new parts or be repaired by insurance to be repaired properly, what a stupid comment.
Obviously in this situation it's each to their own in regards to how they would get there car repaired. some would rather the insurance get there car done for them as they have to do nothing and they get the car returned to them how it was before, some would rather say take the 3k, buy their own parts and pocket 2k from the insurance etc.
Apology accepted, please accept mine to. No it's just that as you I do every thing myself as well so know what good parts can be sourced cheaper and besides new panels for one of my cars are virtually impossible so you do tend to think about sourcing own parts etc..
Why on earth would you accept second hand / shoddy after market goods for a new car, especially one that could well be on PCP and has to be handed back in grade A condition?

There are common themes to bad drivers.
At roundabouts drivers cut you up by pulling onto the roundabout, or no lane discipline when going round.
Cut you up by pulling out of a junction which almost results in a T-bone collision.
Driving the wrong way on 1-way roads.
Late turn-offs on motorways (moving from lane 3 to the off ramp at last moment.
Idiots who think they own the road.
Insurance scammers.
70mph on a 30mph road.
Did I miss any?

How about using a roundabout as an overtaking lane, when there is never going to be time to do that, and unless the car on the left brakes sharply, you're going to end up in conflict with it. Then do that again and again, and post it here every time.
How about making it look as if going straight on at a mini-roundabout as much as possible, then abruptly jinking right, with acceleration, and 'hey look, I didn't get given way to again'.
Always accelerate sharply on mini-roundabouts to catch out the person who thought it was their one chance to go. Have the horn ready to blast just before the brake.

Pretty much because of copyright! I originally uploaded this video and it got hit with a copyright strike with music so this is the 2nd attempt! Hence the music cutting out!

Surely any fool knows that 'Flip-Flops' ffs are hardly the best footwear to ensure full control of the car. Rule 97 of the UK Highway Code says you must make sure you have footwear and clothing that “do not prevent you using the controls in the correct manner”.

The very first one is screwed, wearing flip flops and other types of shoes like high heels or things like that will make your insurance invalid
A very simple question, if you take the actions of the bad drivers and the way many drivers reacted, ask yourself, "If you did that on your driving test, would you have passed?". Just shows you how many shouldn't be on the road.
Although a lot of dashcam videos are showing people having days where they forgot their medication, some videos seem so unavoidable and guys are blatantly acting up when they could avoid situations. For reason unknown
3:15 The silver car may have been at fault, but pretty childish of Jamie to break check him after the incident. Just drive on, no contact was made.
Actually the silver car wasn't at fault, unless there's a merge in turn sign then there was no obligation for the person in the silver car to let Jamie in anyway.
