As a musician, I disagree. His sound was far more than just a bassline, with the harmonic notes providing basically a second voice. It's like he played two basses at the same time, and you could slap vocals on top of his recording and the drum+bass would be able to carry an entire song

@@luxsings6871 I agree that it was awesome from a musical perspective, just maybe not 257 dollars for 20 seconds awesome is all. That's a lot for such a short line. Paying that kind of money would normally buy you feedback and a back and forth between the producer and the musician to get exactly what you want.

The first guy was actually my favorite, isn't the most technical player but he's got this innate ability to keep it tight/in the pocket while keeping his lines simple but memorable. That's exactly that kind of bass player you want in your band.

Fret-less basses will always sound disciplined and mellow. That's the style and it's cool he played something thing different. It would've been neat to see hi temp fret-less to offset the other styles.
