    All these watches are perfect, love the square one, have a TAG Monaco and enjoy the uniqueness of a square watch. Maybe a Omega in feature...

      That's correct. NOS watch may remain NOS for a long time. But in case one of these become an everyday to wear watch. I best produce this video to show the world what these Omega models originally look like when they were new.

    Hi there! I have two questions - being vintages watches but NOS, will they require services regularly?
    And how are the magnetic resistance on those?
    I'm very keen on vintage timepieces but those are my main worries that keep me on jumping on them.

    • @TimelessHistoryChannel
      @TimelessHistoryChannel  2 роки тому

      Whether it is a watch from 1900s or brand new just bought right out of a watch store, it is recommended that have it regular maintenance service every 3-5 years if you're going to wear it daily.
      As long as you are not working in a room full of magnetics or rest the watch over or beside a piece of magnetic, vintage or modern watches will not get magnetize. FYI, many modern watches are not magnetic resistance either. And a well kept vintage watch is just as great as a modern new watch.

    Nice watches, just wondering, I have a Genève which seems to be the twin sister on that seamaster de ville, what are the differences between them?

    • @TimelessHistoryChannel
      @TimelessHistoryChannel  3 роки тому +1

      I believe your watch is a different model with a screw lock case back correct? It is probably a 165.002 (non-date) or 166.002 (with date). A Seamaster Deville model cannot be a Geneve. But the two models above became Geneve after 1967. On some of my past videos I have explained why a Seamaster becomes a Geneve. Quality wise, they are all just as great.

    • @johnmuthan286
      @johnmuthan286 3 роки тому +1

      @@TimelessHistoryChannelmany thanks for your reply, will be checking your video.
      But as for the case back on my Genève it is not screw down, just a 'pop in' type of cover... Mine only says Genève nothing else.
      To be honest I have been given this watch when my grandfather passed away, and have very little to no history about it.
      I just enjoy wearing it every now and then and it works perfectly fine for me, no more than 30s lost per day.

    • @TimelessHistoryChannel
      @TimelessHistoryChannel  3 роки тому

      @@johnmuthan286 Hard to say. If it is a manual wind with date Geneve, then it maybe a case model 132.019. But whatever it is, thank you for sharing and take good care of it.

    Would you consider the 14742 sc 61 with a gold dial rare? I never that model, or similar Deville models with a gold dial.

    • @TimelessHistoryChannel
      @TimelessHistoryChannel  3 роки тому

      Gold tone dial on a Seamaster Deville is uncommon. Sometime the gold tone dial is also made of solid gold. That would make it rare. The only way to know 100% sure that the dial is made of gold is to take it apart. The gold hallmark is indicated on the underside of the dial.

    • @eddiejones2578
      @eddiejones2578 3 роки тому

      @@TimelessHistoryChannel Thank you. I think it's a gold tone dial, even though the case is solid 18k. It's a very beautiful watch. I don't recall seeing this dial before in all the Seamasters I've seen. But your experience is much more. Thanks, I'll keep a kook out.

    Good morning, i want to ask you something, i have an omega seamaster from my grandfather, is exactly like ck 2577 of 1948 but has numbers all around and not only for 3,6,9 and 12 hours, its gold plated outside and gold coloured inside and I haven't seen it anywhere, i am just trying to find out which model and what year it is. Do you know anything about it, thanks in advance for your reply

    • @TimelessHistoryChannel
      @TimelessHistoryChannel  3 роки тому +1

      It sounds like you own a G6250 (bumper) or GX6250(caliber 500). The case is not gold plated but 14k gold filled. To be 100% sure you'll need to open up the case back to see the model number inside. And to date the watch you'll need to do the same thing. Need to find out the movement serial number. Because you cannot find a similar dial online does not make your watch unique as well. Only certain vintage Omega dials are considered very special. But a full numeral dial is definitely uncommon to come by.

      there is a very good video about it: ua-cam.com/video/3Kew04Qgc1I/v-deo.html
      I will make one myself later on this year to proof the safety of radium watches. Will show everyone how radioactive it is and how much radon it can produce.
      If you are not going to open up the watch and break the luminous to sniff it, you are safe. But thanks those who are freaking out about radium dial, myself and many other long time watch collections get to enjoy buying them at an affordable price. :-D
