Could not have timed it more perfectly for the larches, truly incredible landscapes... what an epic hike! Wonder Pass has been on my bucket list for a while now, so this has really motivated me to try again for 2023!
Seriously! The timing was perfect. I need to go back to do Wonder Pass as well. I’ve been through it once, and it was beautiful! But I didn’t take any photos or film anything.
Such an amazing backbacking trek, one which is tied for 1st with Berg Lake. Great video. Thanks for allowing me to relive my time there. Hey 🐻, Hey 🐻😮😂 It’s their land so just gotta share it while there. On our way to the Nub we saw a mum and 2 cubs at Sunburst Lake. We sang so loudly and terribly 😂
I did solo trip fly in hike out 3 years ago... got lucky to see larch before all needle fall.. next time try to hike nub peak then wonder pass on the way out.. its so beautifull..
When I want to go hiking but can’t I just put on one of your videos and I get my fix! Love you and your videos so much keep going. You’re so inspiring!💫
Hi!! soo Im newer to BC moved to Vancouver from Ontario. just found your channel doing some research about back packing out here! I've been hiking lots but have yet to do the overnight trips. Really searching to find myself some independence & I think nothing seems better then being self sufficient backpacking in mother nature! stoked to of found your page to be able to learn & watch some cool adventures. you seem super chill and down to earth! thankyou so much for sharing :)
Great video documenting a much less known area of the park with Og Lake and I am not sure if you have already made a video of this or not but I suggest going up to the Bugaboo Provincial Park and backpack there
Wow thank you! I can’t take full credit for the colour grade though. I’m still learning that stuff, so I purchased Matti Haapoja’s presets. Love them 😍
What an amazing adventure, thank you for sharing. I would love to do this with a friend, not ready to do the solo part. How did you plan your itinerary for this trip? As it looked perfectly planned out. Many questions for you.
The first time I went with a friend! Since I had already visited before I felt more comfortable and it was easy to plan out where to go. Plus I always research heavily online before I visit places.
Could you do a starter pack video for solo lady travellers? I used to backpack with my Dad all the time but I’m never sure of what supplies to buy now! Just like, what equipment is essential and what clothes to bring. Thanks!
Dat place is a complete show off. Dewd what in the even fucktual ack wack what what how?? how???? Such taste from the designer (s). Thx for this vid just what I was looken for! : D
hi, are there permanent tent sites in the wild in canada? 😊 Does that mean you can't camp anywhere around the area you are in other than those places? In Norway we don't have permanent tent sites in the mountains. I'm a bit curious about it. Can you explain a bit more about it in your own video?😄
@@NinaDefilla okay, so special🙊 very funny to hear how big the difference can be from country to country☺️ but is there a separate page where you can ask for permission to camp then? or how do you find out, and how long does it take before you get an answer to that? so curious 🤩
Hi Nina, what bag are you using in this video? For some reason, the links in for the trekking bag in the description doesn’t show up on me, it says page couldn’t be found 😖
I soloed the other side from BC side, which were stunning views with lesser people, actually the whole day only me in the area, 42 km away from highway 92. You can find my photos of Assiniboine Lake in Google Map, which I deemed it the number one Lake in the Rockies.
15:07 😍 nice friend
I love watching you videos with my 5 year old she loves the outdoors
Aww that’s so cute! 🥰
Hey! Solo female hiker here, I live in revelstoke! I had a grizzly encounter alone last October. I certainly understand that feeling. Love your video
Hey! Thanks for watching ☺️ omg I haven’t had a grizzly encounter yet thankfully. How was that?

Hey! Thanks for watching 😊 overnight trips changed the game for me. I love being able to wake up in the mountains for sunrise!
I was planning to go to Assiniboin Backpacking in early September, and the video helped me a lot. Thank you for the good video
Glad it was helpful! ☺️

Loved how you put this together, really well done, but my favorite thing? That color grade 😍
Wow thank you! I can’t take full credit for the colour grade though. I’m still learning that stuff, so I purchased Matti Haapoja’s presets. Love them 😍
@@NinaDefilla Oh I hear ya! I love a good preset. You still crushed it Nina!💪

Nice place...
Great vid. Thank you
Glad you liked it!
Sick vid! BTW, your microphone link didn't work for me.
Ohh no. I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for letting me know!
Amazing views. I'm confused when you said you're worried hiking by yourself as there's people hiking and camping in all your shots.
I hiked alone the whole 5km to Og Lake on the first day. That was the only time I was a bit nervous
@@NinaDefilla ah okay
beautiful places. I love that you show parts of Canada and I hope at some point we can make a trail together or a video, Who knows 😊

Agreed 😍
Awesome video. Being a BC girl, how about a Bigfoot hike?
A Bigfoot hike?
@@NinaDefilla yup. How about you find Bigfoot for us? You are in THE hot spot. Would be an absolute epic (and fun) episode! lol
Could you do a starter pack video for solo lady travellers? I used to backpack with my Dad all the time but I’m never sure of what supplies to buy now! Just like, what equipment is essential and what clothes to bring. Thanks!
Hi Christiana! I have a video where I show and explain all of my backpacking gear. Check it out: ua-cam.com/video/MSv9dpLFiMw/v-deo.html
So beautiful! How did you get permits for these hikes. Im from the States and not sure they operate in Canada
I linked the permit info in the description
When in Sept did you go? We want to catch the larches too! Thanks
It’s a bit different every year, but this time I was there at the very end of September into October
i really liked your video! which season did you go? is this in September?
This was October 1st. We had a really warm fall so the larch trees turned yellow a lot later than they normally do
@@NinaDefilla I see, it’s so pretty!thank you for replying:)
Og lake looked pretty. You skipped Porcupine campground and went to Og? Is that one better?
I think Porcupine is on the hike in when you start from Sunshine. I didn’t come in that way
Dat place is a complete show off. Dewd what in the even fucktual ack wack what what how?? how???? Such taste from the designer (s). Thx for this vid just what I was looken for! : D

Hey! It depends where you are. But there are a lot of places where you need permits to camp, and are only permitted to camp on designated areas
@@NinaDefilla okay, so special🙊

This is the Fjallraven Kajka 60 I believe
8:31 he looked where I would have looked
9:19 / 11:37 So beautiful...
hello, when did you do this trip?
Hey! This was the first week of October in 2022. We had a really beautiful/late fall season though. Normally these conditions would be mid September
Can’t believe u only have 5k subscribers. 5M is more reasonable
Aww thanks! Maybe I will one day
Looking for very easy backpack places to see on the island. Hi from Campbell river
Hi Penny! I haven’t done a lot of hiking on the island yet. Just a few spots. I’ll come back soon though ☺️
Do you have to be helicoptered in?
No you don’t, but the hike is around 30km each way 😅
I soloed the other side from BC side, which were stunning views with lesser people, actually the whole day only me in the area, 42 km away from highway 92. You can find my photos of Assiniboine Lake in Google Map, which I deemed it the number one Lake in the Rockies.
