    This was one of the reviews that convinced me to try to find one of these bikes used... It was very difficult to find in the US. After a few months of searching, I lucked out! I found a showroom condition, stock, 2008 Suzuki GSX650F in the same color as this one in the video! I found it at a Suzuki dealership. It had one previous owner who was 60 years old. He serviced the bike at the dealer I bought it from! It included every service receipt and record! It had 28k miles, and just had a full service from the dealer. It had new brakes, tires, battery, plus more! It is 100% stock, and rides like brand new! Outside of growing up with 80-500cc dirt bikes, this is my first motorcycle. It's been perfect for me! What a sharp machine! Not bad for under $3,500.00 out the door!

    I bought a '09 model NOS 2 years ago and commute 44 miles daily on it. Manifold broke off from the exhaust before the factory warranty ran out. Got that fixed and bought the extended warranty for the balance of the loan just in case. Love the bike.

    I bought a 2008 suzuki gsx650f last year before the riding season. And it has been the most fun I've had yet on a motorcycle. I'm a beginner (guy) rider and it still have some get up to have some fun with.

    It is a great bike. I bought mine brand new in 2008. At times the gear box clunks into gear. The game gauge is shit. Dont trust it. Overall it being my first love I am not disappointed at all. It keeps up np with my friends 600cc's nd 750cc's. Does not top out speed wise like a 750 but I had it topped at 145 mph. Swap the exhaust. DO NOT WAIT. Loud pipes save lives.the pipe you get weighs almost 30 pounds, long nd quiet. I went with yoshi r-77 carbon. Its a beast. 85hp stock. I now own a 2009 gsxr 750. But I love my gsx 650. Never gonna sell her. Nd yes I still ride her on long rides. The 750 is when I wanna just get there faster. Also for newbies this bike won't kill your insurance either. Even with no experience.

      Loud pipes do not save lives, they just irritate other people. In traffic you don't hear the motorcycle behind you even when the fool revs the engine. You are more likely to be hit by the pickup driver who thinks you are obnoxious because you have loud pipes than anything else.

      Mack Knife That was the dumbest thing I ever heard in my life.. If they cant see or hear you how the fuck is that safer than having a louder pipe to warn other? Are you saying a loud pipe will increase my chances of being hit?

    "A big bike"??? LOL..... not when you step down from an FJR1300 like I did. I've owned many bikes over the past 40 years and the GSX is absolutely one of my favs. Have owned an '08 for about 3 years now. Not perfect, of course (no bike is), but the whole package is a delight. Affordable, quick, nimble, light, comfortable, good mileage. I'll be holding on to this one.

      Hello, whatyes2255,
      I've just come from a fjr and bought one of these.
      Just needed something more nimble and less aircraft carrier, proportions. Absolutely loved the 1300, but not doing the big tours anymore.....so a weekend allrounder was called for. Not ridden the 650 yet....how does it compare..? Had a 600 and 1200 bandit in the past.....im presuming.......similar to these?
      Cheers
      Ride safe.

    • @0racle999
      @0racle999 5 років тому +1

      Why compare it to a fjr1300... Compare it to the other bikes in it's category instead... It is indeed very heavy for a 500cc to 700cc sport touring bike (so, excluding gsxr600, zx6r and every other supersport bike)

    • @0racle999
      @0racle999 5 років тому

      @@ff2346cookson Steven, the gsx650f is a bandit 650 with fairing... Gonna be very similar to your old bandit 600! Hope that helped

    Overall a good review. But you miss a significant potential buyer market in your wrap up. I’ve been on two’s 32 years. Currently in my garage is a CBR1100, ZRX1200 and FJR1300 for two up sport-touring. My next bike I’m looking for a solo sport tourer. The GSX size does it perfect here. Along with its 5.0 gallon tank, easy riding position., wind protection etc. I’m seriously considering it. Not all guys are speed demons lol.

    I have a 2015 GSX650F and love it, I would recommend it to anyone, a Sports Tourer an all round comfortable bike that has enough power for most and i think looks great as well. It's all about personal opinion of course but I can't find too many faults with the bike. Check out my channel if you like it then subscribe

      I concur! I have a 2014. Ya, its a wee bit heavy at 540 lbs wet, no rider. But I like it. Its no GSXR600, yet! If you wanna do some touring? This is way better and a all round bike. I've got 81,000 kms to this date and love it! One complaint. The seat!!! After about less than an hour of hwy riding... The rear end gets a little sore. So I bought an air hawk cushion, problem solved.

    what do you mean "last 3-5 years". The bike? or how long the guy wants it.

  • @geoffart79ii

    had one, got rammed at 0 mph in the side by a van (small truck), then got ankle crushed by said vehicle, then thrown off and broken arm... not the bikes fault though. lovely bike. Now have a GSXR600, and by comparison this bike is a whale... and very clumsy..... but you can't compare an airliner to a fighter jet. the bike was ace over long distance... designed for the real world conditions... a biker's bike. I have a small YBR125 too... thinking about selling it and getting this to replace that second bike.

    • @geoffart79ii
      @geoffart79ii 8 років тому +2

      ybr is a 125. Why bother with a 125 is a bit like saying to a mechanic, why bother with a small screw driver when you have a big screw driver? Fact is, it does 90 mpg, costs 17 pounds a year road tax... in effect, it doesn't make a financial dent, so why not have it? Also, if you want to help teach someone you know to ride, the 125 is great. And they're simple and easy to work on. I think every biker could benefit from keeping a small 125 in addition to their big bikes. I now have the three bikes: gsxr, gsxf, ybr125. The 125 does 200'ish miles without needing a tank up... and a tank costs 8 pounds. It depends where you're riding it.... you wouldn't ride the 125 on a dual carriage or motorway... that's for sure! The 125 will do 50-60 mph... it takes a while to reach that speed though... but its a bike at the end of the day... a cheap, easy to work on bike... :)

    Awesome review, but maybe a little too generous! :)
    The stock exhaust is garbage, and the fuel gauge is very inaccurate (shows 1 bar when i have half a tank left)
    Other than that, it is an awesome bike!

    • @mentalplayground
      @mentalplayground 6 років тому +1

      Fuel gauge is very dependent on the slope angle. Sometimes is jumping by 2 bars on hills :)

    She described the clutch but not the GEARBOX. I guess she doesn't care, she has her heavy boots on and she just crushes through the gears. I heard loud CLUNKS when she went from neutral to first and then from first to second.

    Tm I don't know you but you don't have to use obscene language to talk garbage! I'm also an automobile driver with 40 years experience I know for a fact that if you get into difficulty a loud exhaust won't do you any good better improve your skills and observe the road signs and most importantly the speed limits and hopefully you'll not get hurt or hurt someone I hope this information helps in a positive way god bless.

    This bike does not weigh 475lbs. Curb weight of this bike is around 531lbs.

    • @bluewickedburner
      @bluewickedburner 7 років тому +1

      Actually the bike does weight about 475 pounds. You have to add gas, oil and other fluids to any motorcycle. Riding weight depends a lot on the size of the gas tank, pick up an empty one vs one with a full tank of gas. All you wanted to so was nitpick someone else's review.
