Albany adventure weekend , racing around the houses ,forts ,camping and rain !

A free camp site and a bit of stealth a weekend of classic car racing, hill climbs, exploring the Princess Royal Fortifications and WW2 defenses, with a storm and stealth van camp thrown in for good measure. The Albany Classic is a must see it started in 1936 with a race around the houses of Albany, it's a 2-day event with a hill climb time trials to see, don't forget to see the ANZAC memorial and Princess Royal fortifications.

The Albany Classic “Around the Houses” is a historic motor event held in Albany, Western Australia. Here are some key details:

Poor old horses they took didn't make it back. All but 1 were shot. Very sad ending to that particular story. Great stuff, had no idea at all about the race down there (it amazes me how much I don't know sometimes LOL). Have to check it out one day.
