Just so you know Keratin treatment is a treatment that rejuvenates your hair and not straighten it. It just makes the hair more healthier and reduces the frizziness. One of the facts of this treatment is that the more you wash your hair , the straight effect wears off and shoots back to your normal hair and this is always advised before they even do it. If you’re looking for straight hair then smoothening is what you’re looking for. It’s always better to do your research before going ahead with it.

The key for keratin treatment success is the application technique and the education of post treatment to clients, example you need to be willing to wash your hair maximum twice a week preferably once a week.

A keratin treatment is at least better than perms. Permanently chemically straightening the hair is SOOOOO damaging. It stays straight fir ever (until it grows out) but the breakage is crazy.my mom used to give me oeems(relaxers) and I went 16 years without cutting my hair but it stayed short. I stopped when I was 21, now my hair is 22 inches long (5 years later). Before it was 8 to 10 inches while relaxed. And 4 inches when I stopped and cut the permed hair off.
Keratin and chemical straighteners still both have formaldehyde in it, which are used to embalm dead bodies. So both are very bad for the hair. That's why both smell very bad and can burn the scalp. But keratin burns the eyes way more.

Well when I did a keratin treatment.my hair became straight for 2 years.and it still is.my curly hair is growing from the roots again but the straight hair Is permanant.(I have to chop it off)i have the same situation as you except that keratin literally did the same thing as chemical straightening .

I mean it’s been a year and my hair regrow from the roots alor compared to when I was doing the relaxers. The relaxers destroyed my hair. So now I want to do a struaghting process that’s healthy keeps my hair straight and doesn’t permanently damage it but also I want to do a balayage , any advice ??

Always use sulfate-free shampoos with keratin treatments. Otherwise the effect will wash away quicker.

I got a keratin treatment two weeks ago. Although I loved the straight, sleek LOOK of my hair I HAT the texture. The keratin irritated my scalp and my hair fell out at my hairline. I should have stuck to silk presses and weaves.
There is so many types of keratin treatment, I got the cézanne and I asked not to do it at my roots to not lose volume and its fine
I believe they didn’t do it correctly… when I got it they never put it on my scalp and my hair just kept getting healthier.

@@jesssnlee I've had permanent dye irritate my scalp a few times, but I do it every few months anyways (luckily my natural light brown roots take longer to become visible in the back where I dye it black than the roots up in front where my bangs are, which I bleach and dye pink). As long as your hair isn't falling out or anything, it's no big deal.

There is no a miracle solutions in life, from my experience with my frizzy hair I learn that there are two main things in life that we can’t be cheap on. Our face and hair! So I start using a bit more expensive shampoo and mask. I’m using the Yves Rocher detox shampoo and my hair is so thankful for this change! So try a good shampoo with no salts or alcohol in, skip the conditioner and use a bit of a good mask only on the ends of your hair. Wash every few days, while drying your hair make sure you only tapping on your hair and not aggressively rubbing it with a towel. Also recommend you to try the “Coconut Miracle Oil” by OGX just a bit on the ends after drying your hair.

I really need advice : so I’ve been also doing relaxers for a while and I stopped because it damaged my hair and my hair actually didn’t grow much after. So I stopped for three years and grew my natural curly hair out and did a Japanese hair straightening . It’s been a year and half and it’s 80% better than a relaxer my hair didn’t break as much and my hair grew significantly. Now I want to do another straughting “permanent “ that doesn’t damage the hair but also with balayage . What should I do? Should I do a balayage and than do a japenese or should I do keratin ?
Out of experience never mix highlights with keratin or straightening treatments. Either choose highlights or keratin
Licensed master stylist here. Japanese straightening is much like a perm chemically. Keratin treatment is not. Keratin is what we use to improve damaged hair because our hair is made of keratin. Keratin is the healthiest option although it is not a straightening treatment, it is a smoothing treatment. Keratin treatment is not permanent, Japanese is. Keratin is good for the hair, Japanese is not. So yes you can highlight and then do keratin.

Guys what are your opinions on this? I have about 2B hair, pretty curly and some people online say it stays completely straight and it’s amazing even on curly hair and some others (like this girl) say it’s not worth it at all for curly hair, I can’t decide?
I had 2c type curls and I have done it a year ago. My hair was amazing, shiny and straight after shower, brushing was enough. But after 2-3 months it gets frizzy and shapeless. I have lost my curls and I don't have straight hair neither. I would never do that again because it is not natural and hard to maintain I don't want to give so much money to put those chemicals on my hair every month

1- What was the brand of the product that they used at the salon for this treatment. They should be able to answer this question, if you can contact them to help us out.
2- What was the specific product offered by the brand and is this something we have to do at a salon or can we buy this product and use it at home?
Many of us have commented that we cannot find this treatment at any salon when searching “organic hair straightening”. That is why I’m asking specifics. I would love to do what you did but I cannot figure it out anywhere.

You have to call salons and ask what treatment they use. Proaddiction for example is an organic treatment that most salons use now

If you read what keratherapy is for, you’ll understand that it does not magically give you straight hair for 6 months.
50% de on the application and 50% the after care.
Keratherapy products state that “it reduces your styling time by half” yes, you still have to style your hair, wash it 2 times a week max (1 time per per week preferably) use their shampoo, conditioning, deep conditioning masque, daily smoothing cream, and blow dry it without combing it (you wouldn’t need to use the comb if you use all the right products) and if you comb it, it has to be with the correct brush.
Also, sleep with a silk cap.
I doubt you did all that.

I did a protein treatment about a year ago and I wish I hadn’t my hair got damaged it was really bad I’m now starting my journey with organic stuff so it could at least rejuvenate my hair to it’s old self.

My hair is better now but the protein treatment made my hair stretchy like plastic I lost all my curls now my ends are straight but the insides of the my hair is curly tbh if you care for your hair so much it might not end up like this just don’t ever leave it dry leaving it dry causes it too fall and damages the ends.

Hey there! If you want the treatment will less you as long as possible the special shampoo and conditioner are super important because a regular ones with salts or alcohol will “fade” the results so quick and you don’t want it.

Hey there! Thank you for watching my video!🙏🏼🥰 I’m not really sure but it is really important for your hair to be as natural as it can be in order to be the healthiest. The more chemicals processes you’ll do the less full of life it’ll look. I would recommend you to do it every 6 months or even longer times in between. But this treatment maybe the less harmed for your hair out of most things out there. Plus don’t forget that our hair will get damaged by the air outside, the sun and basically everything in this life will infect it (our food, the water amounts we drinking and our lifestyles). Be a happy person with the less stressful lifestyle you can and you’ll see your hair will appreciate it! ❤️
